Hi!!

Hello!!
H iee e!

We Serve the Planet

R’s of a Zero Waste Event
“Prevention is better than cure”
Refusal prevents waste creation
Eg: Say 'No' to Flex Banners
Refuse

“Reuse it or Lose it”

If you can't refuse, choose an item which can be reused.
Eg: Use cloth banners
Reuse

“Dump Less, Save More, Recycle Right ”

If a reusable item isn’t available, replace with a recyclable item .
Recycle Eg: Paper Banners

Measures taken to make an event zero waste will help reduce the waste quantity .
Despite this there will be leftover waste ,this will need to be segregated and disposed
to correct end destination.

How To Calculate The Waste Diversion Rate Of Your Event
Step 1

Add up the total amount of waste in each of these categories

Recycling Compost Donations Trash

Step 2

Add all 4 categories together to determine the total amount of waste generated

Recycling + Compost + Donations + Trash = Total waste generated

Step 3

Add the rst 3 categories to determine the total amount of waste diverted

Recycling + Compost + Donations = Total waste generated

Step 4

Divide the total waste diverted by the total waste generated ,then multiply by 100 to get the nal
waste diversion rate as a percentage

(Total Waste Diverted /Total Waste Generated ) x 100= Waste Diversion Rate
