Project Work
Important Instructions:
1) Projects are to be submitted on the given dates without failure, to the concerned subject
teachers.
2) In case of sickness or inability of students to come to school, the students may send the
project through a classmate or the parents may submit on the given date.
3) If students are found with projects exactly same or copied exactly from any source then
marks could be deducted or project redone as per instruction of the concerned teacher with
the knowledge of the authority.
4) It is also the responsibility of the parents to make sure that their wards submit their projects
on time.
Project marks are of great importance as they severely effect promotion as well as the Board
result. The information regarding the projects & guidelines is attached here.
Attention: Students are required to prepare the projects with relevant material
carefully pertaining to each subject. The submission of the project is
only on 1st September & 16th October 2020, without fail.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE (English Paper – 1)
PROJECT TOPIC - CLASS XII (ISC – 2021)
Question: How have teenagers been able to cope during the lockdown? Write a
composition describing what you, your siblings, friends and associates feel regarding this
time spent at home. What have you, as young people, gained from it?
Instructions:
1. Length of the composition – 500 words (approximately)
2. Cover of the Project – Brown
3. It must be written in black ink only. No other coloured ink will be permitted
for any reason whatsoever.
4. It must contain only the following:
i) Introduction (it must introduce the topic they are writing about);
ii) The composition;
iii) One or two (not more) relevant pictures may be added either in black-
and white or coloured to be placed opposite the introduction page only.
5. There will be no marks for the pictures. However, your use of various literary
aspects, organisation, structure and presentation of the answer will be
evaluated in detail.
ENGLISH LITERATURE (English Paper – 2)
Project - Topic
Question: How has the Yukon landscape been described in ‘To Build a Fire’ by Jack
London? What are the various techniques used by the man to survive in the
American wilderness?
Instructions
1. Length of the Answer – 1000 to 1500 words.
2. Cover the Project – Brown
3. It must be written in black ink only. No other coloured ink will be permitted for
any reason whatsoever.
4. It must contain only the following
i) Introduction (it must introduce the story with a little.
ii) The answer
iii) One or two (not more) relevant pictures may be added.
iv) Either in black-and-white or coloured to be placed
5. There will be no marks for the pictures. However, your use of various literary
aspects, organisation, structure and presentation of the answer will be evaluated
in detail.

Guidelines
1) Candidates are required to complete the assigned practical work and
submit on the given dates.
2) The project / practical copy should be covered in white paper and the

name, class, section, roll no. should be written in block letters in the right
lower hand corner of the copy.
3) For Example : CHEMISTRY PROJECT
ISC – 2021
Should be written in the centre top of the cover & same to be followed in
Physics & Biology.
4) The dates of performing the experiment and the experiment number
should be clearly mentioned for each practical work.
5) Any topics given in the syllabus can be taken up by a candidate or work can be
conducted on any other innovative topic.
6) The topic is to be introduced stating reasons for taking it up.
7) Coloured pictures are to be used for every page (if possible) for Chemistry.
MATHEMATICS
PAPER II - PROJECT - CLASS XII (ISC – 2021)
Candidates will be expected to have completed two projects (one from Section A & other
from Section B)
Section – A
1. Using graph to demonstrate a function which is invertible function.
2. Explain the concepts of increasing and decreasing functions using geometrical
significance of dy/dx. Illustrate with proper examples.

and verify it by actual integration.
Section – B
1. Using vector algebra, find the areas of a parallelogram / triangle. Also derive the
area analytically and verify the same.
2. Find the area bounded by parabola and an oblique line.
