MAHARASHTRA NATIONALLAW UNIVERSITY MUMBAI
Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai, established under the Maharashtra
National Law University Act, 2014 (VI of 2014) is one of the premier National Law
Universities in India. The Act envisaged establishing National Law University in
Maharashtra to impart advanced legal education and promote society-oriented
research in legal studies and promote the spirit of law amongst the students and to
impart them the skills of advocacy, legal services, law reforms, managerial skills, and
make them capable of utilizing their skills and knowledge for social transformation,
development, and nation building.
MNLU Mumbai believes in the values enshrined in the Indian Constitution viz. Justice,
Liberty, Equality, Fraternity, Secularism, Humanism, etc. and make all our efforts to
inculcate them in its students, staff, and others to make this institution not only a center
of legal knowledge but also an inclusive center of humanity.
The University offers B.A., LL. B. (Hons.) five years integrated program, two years full time
post graduate programme in MBA and One year LL.M. program in Corporate and
Commercial Laws, Constitutional & Administrative Law, Maritime Law, LL.M. (Investment
and Securities Laws) in association with National Institute of Security Management
(NiSM), M.A. in Mediation, Ph.D. Programme, PG Diplomas and is planning to add more
programmes from the academic year 2023-24. The course structure and curriculum of
the University are framed by a team of dedicated and committed teachers with guidance
and from inductry experts and academia.
Hon'ble Mr. Justice Bhushan Ramakrishna Gavai, Judge, Supreme Court of India is
the Chancellor of the University, who not only guides but also inspires the institution
with his novel ideas and rich experience in the field of law. Prof. (Dr.) Dilip Ukey,
Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of the University is an eminent scholar in the field of law is
guiding and leading the University to achieve newer heights Dr. Pratapsinh B. Salunke
serving as Registrar of the University, with his three decades of experience in the
legal profession and dynamic vision coupled with excellent administrative skills is

Eligibility
A UGC recognized three years degree in
any discipline with a minimum of 55% of
marks or an equivalent grade if they
belong to the General, OBC, PWD, NRI,
PIO, or OCI categories. For candidates
from the SC or ST categories, the
requirement is 45% of marks or an
equivalent grade.
Candidates appearing in the qualifying
examination in May / June 2025 are also
eligible to apply, subject to fulfilling the
requisite eligibility as stated above.
Preference shall be given to the candidates
who have a valid score in any of the national
level examinations including
CLAT(PG)/CAT/ XAT/CMAT/MHCET.
Course is open to learners of all ages and
discliplines .Maximum intake is 50.
However, the University reserves the right
to alter the number of seats for the
programme in a given academic year
without prior notice.
Fee Structure
The course fee is Rs. 5,00,000/. The course fee is inclusive of admission fee,
tuition fee, and library fee. It does not include lodging and boarding charges.
The fee shall be paid in four equal installments of Rs. 1,25,000/- in the
beginning of first, second, third and fourth semesters.
If the candidate decides to withdraw the admission after paying the first
installment of Rs. 1,25,000/- a full refund will be given subject to a
deduction of Rs. 2500/, if notified in writing or by email within 10 days of
payment. However, after 10 days of payment, no refund shall be given.

Security deposit
A refundable security deposit of Rs. 10,000/- is to be paid along with the
admission fee. This deposit will be refunded after the completion of two years
programme after making deductions, if any.
Application Procedure
The application form fee for admission to the MBA program is ₹2,600.
However, there is an early bird discount available, reducing the fee to
₹2,000. This discounted rate is valid until July 31, 2025.
