Data Loader Installation Guide

Before installing Data Loader you have to install the Java JDK - 17 LTS version

1.​ Download Java JDK .msi file version 17 - LTS using the below link: ​
Eclipse Temurin™ Latest Releases
a.​ Choose Your Operating System (Windows/Linux etc.)
b.​ Architecture (x64/x86)
c.​ Package Type (JDK)
d.​ Version (17 - LTS)
e.​ Execute downloaded .msi file

f.​

NOTE: KEEP YOUR LOCATION DEFAULT​

If using x64 architecture Your location will be (VERSION CAN DIFFER)​
C:\Program Files\Eclipse Adoptium\jdk-[Link]-hotspot\​

If using x86 architecture Your location will be (VERSION CAN DIFFER)​
C:\Program Files (x86)\Eclipse Adoptium\jdk-[Link]-hotspot\​

g.​ Hit next and Install​

2.​ After the Installation of Java is completed press the Window button on your keyboard search for Edit
the system environment variables and open it
a.​ Then click on Environment Variables​

b.​ In the First Section (User Variable for YOUR_USER_NAME) go to Path and double-click over
it​
c.​ There click on the New button and provide your location where you installed the Java,
remember to append \bin at the end of the path and click OK​

d.​ In the Second Section (System Variable) search JAVA_HOME​


If JAVA_HOME is there double-click over it and verify that your Java folder Location (without
\bin) is provided there if not then delete the existing path and provide your Java folder path
(without \bin)
e.​ If You can’t find JAVA_HOME in System Variables section then you have to create your own
JAVA_HOME variable​
Click on the New button in the System Variable Section and provide the ​
Variable name: JAVA_HOME​
Variable value: C:\Program Files\Eclipse Adoptium\jdk-[Link]-hotspot\ ​
VERSION CAN DIFFER​
Then click OK​

f.​ Then click OK and again click OK


g.​ Then Restart your System. After that Verify all System Variables. (RECOMMENDED)
3.​ Download the Data Loader .zip file using the below link:​
[Link] For Latest Version
Salesforce Data Loader For v62.0.2 Version
a.​ Go to the file browser and find the downloaded .zip file
b.​ Move your file to C: drive
c.​ Then Unzip/Extract your dataloader_v62.[Link] folder (VERSION CAN DIFFER) ​
d.​ Navigate to your folder​

e.​ Execute [Link] file ​

f.​ Type Yes and hit Enter


g.​ Then it will ask to Create Desktop icon and Start Menu folder provide Yes in both
h.​ Your Data Loader is installed successfully.

●​ INSTALLATION OF JAVA AND DATA LOADER IS ALL ABOUT GIVING THE RIGHT PATH TO
YOUR FOLDERS.
●​ ALWAYS RUN EVERYTHING AS ADMINISTRATOR
●​ KEEP IN MIND VERSION CAN BE DIFFERENT AND FOLDERS CONTAINS VERSION NAMES.
●​ IF YOUR DATA LOADER IS NOT SHOWING ON THE DESKTOP OR IN THE START MENU THAN
GO TO DATA LOADER FOLDER AND EXECUTE THE [Link] file
●​ IF YOU ARE USING ANY OPERATING SYSTEM OTHER THAN WINDOWS REACH OUT TO ANY
OF THE TRAINERS FOR HELP
