PROJECT FACILITIES
(See Clause 2.1)
1 Project Facilities
The Concessionaire shall construct the Project Facilities in accordance with the
provisions of this Agreement. Such Project Facilities shall include:
(a) Toll plaza;
(b) Roadside furniture;
(c) Pedestrian facilities;
(d) Landscaping and tree plantation;
(e) Rest areas;
(f) Truck lay-bys;
(g) Bus-bays and bus shelters;
(h) Highway patrol;
(i) Ambulance;
(j) Cranes
(k) Advance Traffic Management Systems (ATMS)
(l) Telecom System
(m) ROW Fencing
(n) Utilities
(o) Building for Traffic Aid Post
(p) Building for Medical Aid Post
2 Project Facilities for Six-Laning
Project Facilities forming part of Six-Laning and to be completed on or before the
Scheduled Six-Laning Date have been described in Annex-I of this Schedule-C.

Annex - I
(Schedule-C)
Project Facilities for Six-Laning
1 Project Facilities
The Concessionaire shall construct the Project Facilities described in this Annex-I to
form part of the Project Highway. The Project Facilities shall include:
(a) Toll plaza;
(b) Roadside furniture;
(c) Pedestrian facilities;
(d) Landscaping and tree plantation;
(e) Rest areas;
(f) Truck lay-bys;
(g) Bus-bays and bus shelters;
(h) Highway patrol;
(i) Ambulance;
(j) Cranes and
(k) Advance Traffic Management Systems (ATMS)
(l) Telecom System
(m) ROW Fencing
(n) Utilities
(o) Building for Traffic Aid Post
(p) Building for Medical Aid Post
2 Description of Project Facilities
2.1 Toll Plaza
There shall be 1 toll plaza on the Project Highway.

2.2 Roadside furniture
The roadside furniture shall include the following provisions;

i. Traffic Signs: Traffic signs include roadside signs, overhead signs and kerb
mounted signs along the entire Project Highway shall be provided para 9.2
of the manual
ii. Overhead signs: Overhead signs should be provided as per schedule D.
iii. Cantilever Type with size 4.0m x 1.2m, should be provided as per
schedule D.
iv. Pavement Markings: Pavement markings shall cover the entire Project
Highway as per para 9.3 of the manual.
v. Road Studs: Road studs shall be provided as per para 9.5 of the manual.
vi. Crash barrier:
a) W Beam Metal Crash Barrier
As per Manual subject to minimum length of 14.460 km.
1) W-Beam Metal Crash Barrier on Both Carriageways:
W- Beam metal crash barriers shall be provided on the outer side of
carriageway as per Sub Clause 9.7.1 of IRC SP: 87-2013.
2) W- Beam metal crash barriers in Median:
i) W-Beam metal crash barriers shall be provided at both side of median.
ii) W-Beam metal crash barrier shall be provided in depressed median along
both the carriageway.
b) RCC Crash Barrier
As per Manual subject to minimum length of 4.500 km.
c) Thrie Beam Metal Crash Barrier on the both carriageway
Metal Crash Barrier shall be provided between main carriageway & service road
as per IRC SP-87-2013.
vii. Delineators: Delineators shall be provided in the entire Project Highway as
per para 9.4 of the manual.
viii. ROW boundary stones: ROW boundary stones shall be provided in the
entire Project Highway as per para 9.8 of the manual.
ix. Hectometre / Kilometre stones: Hectometre/Kilometre stones shall be
provided in the entire Project Highway as per MoRTH circular.

2.3 Highway lighting:
a) High mast
High mast lighting shall be provided at the locations specified below

b) Street lighting
Street Lighting shall be provided at the following locations of the Project Highway as
per para 12.3 of the manual.
1. Toll Plaza Area: The lighting in and around toll plaza, toll booths, office booths,
office building, on the approach road.
2. Rest areas.
3. Bus bay & Bus shelter locations.
4. Approaches of Grade separated structures (Fly overs, VUP, PUP & Overpasses).
5. Built-up sections on the Project highway both in the median of main carriageway
and on the service roads on either side.
2.4 Pedestrian facilities
The pedestrian facilities shall include the provision of the;
i. Pedestrian Footpath: Footpath cum Covered Drain shall be provided along outer
edge of Service Road.
ii. Pedestrian Crossings: Provide pedestrian crossing facilities on service roads
2.5 Landscaping and tree plantation
The landscaping and tree plantation shall include the provision of;
i. Median Plantation: at locations where the median width is 3.0m and more
ii. Landscaping: at Toll plaza, Interchanges, Entry/Exit ramps.
iii. Avenue plantation
2.6 Rest Areas
Provide the Rest Area as specified in IRC SP: 87 – 2013 at the location specified below:

2.8 Bus Stop with Shelter
Bus Stops with shelter are proposed on Service Road & Bus lay byes with bus stops are
proposed in case of no service road, directly on the main carriageway at following

2.9 Highway patrol
Provide the facility of highway patrolling covering the entire Project Highway. These
shall conform to the specifications mentioned in Schedule ‘D’.

2.10 Ambulance(s)
Provide the ambulance(s) services covering for the entire Project Highway. These shall
conform to the specifications mentioned in Schedule ‘D’.
2.11 Cranes
Provide the crane services covering the entire Project Highway. These shall conform to
the specifications mentioned in Schedule D.
2.12 Advance Traffic Management Systems (ATMS)
Provide the Advance Traffic Management Systems covering for the entire Project
Highway. These shall conform to the specifications mentioned in Schedule ‘D’. Variable
message sign (VMS) shall be provided.
These shall confirm to the specifications mentioned in Schedule D.
2.13 Telecom System
Telecom System shall be provided as per schedule “D”.
2.14 ROW Fencing
Chain link Galvanised Fencing shall be provided as per Schedule D.
2.15 Utilities
Provisions for accommodating utilities shall be made over as well as underground within
the utility corridor on either side of the project highway.
