My First Time in a Big City

I had always lived in a small village where almost everyone knew each other. Life was simple, and people
were friendly. One sunny morning, my father told me I would be going to spend the holiday with my
uncle in Lagos. I was both excited and nervous. I had never been to a big city before.

When we arrived in Lagos, I was amazed. There were tall buildings everywhere, many cars, and people
walking so fast as if they were in a race. The noise from vehicles and traders filled the air. Everything was
so different from the calm life I knew.

My uncle’s house was in a part of the city called Surulere. It was a lovely home, and I had my own room.
The next day, he took me to a shopping mall. I had never seen so many shops in one place before. I also
visited a zoo where I saw lions, zebras, and even a giraffe!

During my stay, I learnt how to cross busy roads, how to use an ATM machine, and even how to use a
computer better. I made new friends and ate different kinds of food like pizza and shawarma. I was sad
