Computer Hardware Summary

WHAT IS COMPUTER HARDWARE?

Computer hardware refers to all the physical parts of a computer that you can see and touch. This includes

the input and output devices, processing components, memory, and storage.

TYPES OF HARDWARE:

1. INPUT DEVICES - Used to enter data into the computer:

- Keyboard

- Mouse

- Microphone

- Camera

- Touchscreen

2. OUTPUT DEVICES - Show results from the computer:

- Monitor

- Printer

- Speakers

- Projector

3. CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT (CPU) - The brain of the computer that processes data and instructions.

4. MEMORY:

- RAM (Random Access Memory): Temporary memory used while the computer is on.

- HDD/SSD: Permanent memory for storing files and data.

5. MOTHERBOARD - The main circuit board that connects all the computer parts.

6. POWER SUPPLY - Provides electricity to the computer and powers all components.
