Sharpen your grammar skills like a language ninja!
Complete Integrated Grammar Practice (Workbook) Exercises 1 to 9.
Track your progress in a “Grammar Mastery Log” in PC, with your top tips and one common
error you overcame for each exercise.
2. Design a Travel Brochure: Telangana – The Soul of the Deccan
Create a vibrant, foldable travel brochure on Telangana.
Include:
i. Cultural Highlights
ii. Historical Marvels
iii. Natural Attractions
iv. Famous Local Cuisine
v. Festivals
vi. Add “Did You Know?” facts and include hand-drawn or digital visuals.
Present it in a decorated folder.
(Note: Question no 1 - Grammar Mastery Log and Q3 – Q8 to be completed in the English
Practice Copy.)
3. Descriptive Writing:
a) Write a vivid descriptive paragraph (150–180 words) about the Champion of Grace –
PV Sindhu. Describe her journey, traits, and what makes her a true icon. Use figurative
language to add flair.
b) Write a short paragraph (about 100 words) describing a school bag you own(ed).
Mention its appearance, features, and its utility. What stories or memories are
attached to it? How does it reflect your interests, habits, or personality?
4. Letter of Enquiry:
You are Aditi / Adarsh Goel.
Write to Telangana Travels, Hyderabad requesting details about a summer package to South
India with your friends.
Include questions about itinerary, charges, stay, meals, and student discounts.

5. Placement of Order:
You are Tarun/Taruna Mathai, Head of the Magazine Committee.
Draft a formal letter to Scholars’ Stationers, ordering customized notebooks, pens, and
folders for an inter-school literary event, Lit Fest 2025.
Refer to their recent newspaper advertisement on school discounts.
6. Letter of Complaint:
You are Rajat/Ragini Singham from 20, Lake View Road, Jaipur.
Write a complaint letter to ElectroMart, Civil Lines, Jaipur, reporting issues with a Sony
Headphone (poor sound quality, right speaker not working).
Request replacement or service.
7. Letter to the Editor:
Write a letter to the Editor of The Times of India expressing concern about the increasing
neglect of health among students due to poor eating habits and lack of physical activity.
Suggest ways schools, parents, and students can work together to promote a healthier
lifestyle.
8. Article:
Write an article on the topic “Education Beyond Exams: What Really Matters.”
Your article should highlight the importance of holistic education that goes beyond textbook
learning and examinations. (150–180 words)
The article must also cover the following:
Causes: Why is there a growing need to move beyond exams and rote learning?
Effects: What are the consequences of exam-centric education? How does holistic education
positively impact students?
Solutions: What steps can schools, teachers, and parents take to promote holistic learning?
Use persuasive language, include relevant facts or examples, and maintain a clear and logical
structure.
Note:-
Use the holidays to revise the entire First Term syllabus.
Create mind maps/flowcharts in the PC for each chapter to summarize key ideas and
vocabulary.
