Background
Sri Lanka achieved one of significant turning point on 08th January 2015 by
stepping stone to good governance. That was one of great turning point of the
country and people needed a change for the country and people need to change
the direction of the country also people expected better politic process to rule
the country, finally that has been achieved.
This was a total change for the country, many sectors don’t have a much
knowledge about good governance and its policies. Need to aware many sectors
regarding good governance because need to re-awake whole sector including
politicians. After the revolution of the country many sectors don’t have a proper
knowledge about good governance. The people or sectors who against good
governance process use this gap to spread the bad attitude or news among
community and that is baldy affect for the program of good governance.
Due to lack of knowledge many politicians able to spread wrong information
within society. The major reason is lack of knowledge and there is no
mechanism to increase the knowledge and that badly affect to the good
governance process because opposition party can change the views of the grass
root level community. Need to have a proper and perfect mechanism to change
the people attitude. If there is a process can increase the votes for the good
governance.

Description of Organization (Key Organization)
Asia Lanka Social Development Cooperation (ALSDC) is a Non Government,
Non Profitable, and Charity Organization which was established in 2001 under
the Social Welfare act of Sri Lanka. We aimed at developing and balancing
human and environmental progress in rural as well as urban areas, focusing on
the low-income community. Our main objectives are;

Primary Objectives of the Organization
To carry out programmes to reduce/control/minimize of the HIV/AIDS
amongst MARP’s in Sri Lanka
To promote the Attitudes & Behaviours of the community towards
Environment Preservation & Conservation through BCC (Behaviour
Change Communication).
While we are implementing special programmes which help for the
development of Physical & Mental Aspects of Children, we promote the
Attitudes of Adults to protect them from Child-Abuses& other related
issues. (Specially for Street & Estate Children)
To implement Welfare Programmes for Lower-Incomers & Under-
Privileged People in Rural-Street-Estate Communities.(Specially for
Women, Women-Sex-Workers, Women-Leading Families, Widow
Women)
To implement programmes for Disaster Management (Especially for
Flooding, Earth-Slips, etc).

Implementation
This unique program basically design to aware the all stakeholders in many
ways and those are linked to each and can get the highest efficiency. First
activity listed conducting introductory workshop this is very important because
need to get the highest attention of media and government and non-
government sector, the program will be organize for the stakeholders. As
second activity listed organize good governance clinic. The goal of the program
is participation of the community, also provide a service for them, when
community participate to the program there are small sessions to aware them
about good governance, while on that they can have legal, government services
or health services from the good governance clinic.
Carry on road show program is one of unique activity to be implement under
the program, during the evening can organize road show programs in every
major places of District. People can aware about examples and international
experience about good governance, can create video documentaries to show
and those can be created local and foreign experience.
Conduct awareness programs are very essential to change the attitude and way
of thinking and we have listed many awareness programs of the society. This is
wide spread of activity to be implemented by getting involvement of major
stakeholders. Can use the local and international lesson and learnt things for
the good governance workshops. Also under program expect to use public
toilets as one of major awareness tool. We can advertise public toilets inside
space regarding good governance and its importance, can use inside to aware
the visitors by posters, drawings or flyers.
Street drama is very important to aware large crew at once because can
implement this kind of programs in major cities or the where the places gather
large amount of community. This is unique strategy that can we use. Using
social media is important to change the attitude of the young crowed because
those crowed can be aware very easily through social campaign. This program
will implement through facebook, twitter and youtube are major concern.
The program has been designed with unique strategies to address various
sectors of the society through that expect to change the attitude. Implement
those activities are very essential to have a society revolution and getting the
maximum support for the good governance process.

Monitoring project
This process will be implemented through a monitoring committee.
Organizations expect to get the participation of all relevant government officers
and private sector offers for the committee and community also. This
monitoring committee will be getting the major responsible to monitor each and
every activity of the project for implementation. From the beginning level
expects to make an action plan and divide the responsibilities of the project
activities and it is easy to monitor about the project activities. Also expect to
appoint Monitoring officers to monitor the project. On a specific day and time
this monitoring committee gather and discuss about the progress and the
completed activities of the programs.
