Statement of Purpose

The technological systems which underpin businesses and economies have never ceased to amaze me.
They led me to study for a degree in finance and accounting. This field combines both a grasp of numbers
with awareness of how decisions being taken in every business can also affect a society that may not fully
understand its consequences. Hello, I am (Name), writing while intending to pursue my future dreams
through schooling at (University Name).

My eventual goal is to enter investment banking. There I hope to use my knowledge to pick the right
markets, analyse and guard against risks, and influence strategic financial decisions for very large sums of
money. Studying STEM subjects; physics, chemistry and biology, has endowed me with a strong ability
to solve problems and work analytically. Physics in particular has enhanced my logical reasoning,
chemistry has enforced thought which proceeds step by step, and biology has improved data analysis
skills through frequent graph readings of experiments.

The practicals I have carried out over the past four years in all my subjects have strengthened my skills in
organization, accuracy and attention to detail, all qualities vital for a job in Finance and Accounting. In
this programme, I am attracted by its global relevance and variety of opportunities, which give me skills
of great transferability in an increasingly interconnected world. I look forward to gaining the knowledge
and experience necessary to confront the constantly changing challenges of finance and accounting while
at the same time being able to realize my career ambition in investment banking.

I look forward to being able to study at your school, where I can deepen my understanding of Finance and
Accounting and start the journey to becoming a finance professional. Thank you in advance for
