Ⅲ Admissions Eligibility
❖ Applicant must qualify for the nationality restriction, the educational background, and the language proficiency as follows:
1. Freshman

educational stage equivalent to South Korea's high school curriculum.
- International students must have completed or expect to complete their high school education in either Korea
or abroad or must have attained an equivalent level of education under the related laws.

※ Home schooling, cyber learning, and adult education do NOT evidence the required academic qualifications.

- After translation (English or Korean) and notarization of the original documents, you can apply for an apostille at the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs office. (Only for member nation of Apostille agreement, if not, need consulate legalization)

Ⅴ Application Form and Submission
(1) A
fter completing the online application, applicants must submit all the required documents. Applicants who fail to submit the
required documents, even if their online applications are completed, will be excluded from the admissions process.
(2) A
pplicants must fill out the application form carefully and submit the documents correctly since the information and documents
submitted will be used during the application period. If there are any modifications, notify to the International Service Center.
(3) The applicant’s name should be written exactly as it appears on his/her passport.
(4) T
he applicant’s name and alien registration number should be correctly written. If the applicant has an alien registration number,
write it down correctly. If the applicant does not have alien registration number, write as follows.
Ex) A
male (female) student who was born on May 15, 1992: 920515-599999(6999999)
A male (female) student who was born on May 15, 2000: 000515-799999(8999999)
(5) Write down personal informations such as high school, address, phone (mobile) number, e-mail address correctly. (This should match
submitted documents exactly.)
(6) The name of the school should be its official English name.
(7) Applicants must be Korean Language Certificate or English Language Certificate holders and write the score on application.
The expiration date of the Certificate of Language should not expire before the online application period has ended.
(8) A
pplicants who did not submit a language certificate before the deadline (due to the date of a language test) must express written
notification on the application.
(9) Photos (3cm*4cm) taken within 3 months are to be uploaded online.
(10) If an applicant presents any false information, fails to submit required application materials or cannot be contacted, the applicant
may be withdrawn from admission review.
(11) Applicants cannot change their major after the application period.
1. Required Documents
(1) All submitted documents should be original copies (apostilled or verified by the consulate).
(2) Documents in languages other than English or Korean must have a notarized Korean translation attached to them with the certificate
of translation.
(4) After the required documents submission, changes are not allowed and submitted documents shall not be returned.
(5) To-be graduate students should submit their graduation certificates to the International Service Center before admission.
2. Admission Cancellation
(1) T
he phone number (or mobile phone) of applicants should be filled in correctly. If an applicant is not contacted due to false
information, the applicant may be withdrawn from admission review.
(2) Any inaccurate information of successful applicant’s academic background or others may cause the cancellation of admissions even
though it will be realized after the semester starts.
(3) A
pplicants should keep in mind that their academic background will be checked (e.g. Academic Verification Form). If the institution
fails to verify the authenticity of student’s documents, the admission may be revoked.
(4) Failure to submit required documents or false entries in the documents (e.g. forgery, falsification, examination irregularities, or
ineligibility) will lead to cancellation of admission.
(5) A
dmitted students should complete the registration process (payment of tuition fee) within the designated period. INU will
automatically rescind the admission acceptance of applicants who fail to do so.
(6) Failure to submit the graduation certificate before the semester start date may invalidate student’s admission.
(7) Admitted students to INU are not allowed to register for any other universities in Korea which are scheduled to hold the same
academic year for admissions as that of INU. If an admitted student does not comply with this regulation, the offer of admission will
be cancelled.
(8) S
tudents take full responsibility for complying with the terms of the student visa. If a student’s visa is refused, admission will be
automatically invalid.
3. Others
(1) Students are not allowed to take a leave of absence during their first semester because of INU’s regulations.
(2) This Guide Book is originally written in Korean and translated into English and Chinese. The Korean Guide Book prevails over
translated versions in case of any conflict over other languages.
(3) Matters that are not stipulated in this guide shall comply with the admissions procedures and regulations of INU, related law, policies,
and the decisions of INU Committee of Admissions. After the start of the semester, students should follow the INU’s regulations.
(2) If the purpose of processing has been achieved or the retention period has elapsed, the collection information is reversed, and the
collection information is not used or provided beyond the above range without consent.
(3) A
pplicants for Incheon National University seem to agree to SMS and mobile transmission related to screening through mobile
phones and e-mail.
