FREDDIE MERCURY

FARROKH BULSARA aka Freddie Mercury, a


singer, musician and songwriter. The singer with
the immortal voice, was the leader of the band
QUEEN, which was born in the 70's, flooding the
stage with theatricality, sensuality and a privileged
voice that has been studied due to its peculiarity. He
is considered one of the best singers of the twentieth
century.

He was born on September 5, 1946 on the island of


Zanzibar, Tanzania, East Africa.

He died on November 24, 1991 from


bronchopneumonia due to AIDS.

Freddie Mercuru's voice was studied by scientists,


who demonstrated that he had a peculiar vibrato
with which he could modulate his voice in an
unnatural way.

MUSICAL CAREER

In 1953, at the age of 7, he began piano lessons at a boarding school in India.

In 1964 he moved to England with his family. He met Roger Taylor with whom he formed
the group Queen.

In 1973 Emy and Electra Records recorded the debut and homonymous album “Queen”, one
of the most applauded albums.
In 1975 was born “Bohemiam Rhapsody” his unforgettable operatic style made him the first
in the British charts.

In 1980 he began his solo career and in 1985 he released the album “Mr. Bad Guy.

Freddie Mercury released 14 albums with the band Queen and 2 as a solo artist. He composed
more than 60 songs that were listened to all over the world.

Part of his personality was described in one of his phrases: “Excess is part of my nature (...)
I really need danger and excitement. I'm not afraid to go to extremes.
