My interest in Business Analytics began during my undergraduate studies in Computer Science, where
courses like Database Management Systems and Data Mining opened my eyes to the power of data. A
key turning point was my final year project, where I developed an Attendance ERP system, sparking my
passion for analyzing and managing data. The COVID-19 pandemic further solidified this interest, as I
saw how companies like Amazon and Walmart leveraged predictive analytics to stabilize supply chains.
Governments and organizations used big data to map the virus's spread, underscoring the critical role
data plays in decision-making. These experiences, combined with my Data Science studies during the
pandemic, have inspired me to pursue a Master’s in Business Analytics from the Trinity College Dublin
to deepen my expertise and drive impactful business solutions.
Coming from a STEM background, I pursued science and mathematics in high school and later earned a
bachelor's degree in Computer Science. During my undergraduate studies, I developed a strong interest
in subjects like engineering design, data structures, algorithms, web design, data mining, database
management systems, programming languages, and compilers. Throughout these courses, I often took
the lead in group projects, where I adopted an analytical approach by conducting research, gathering and
analyzing data, and presenting insights. I also pursued additional summer internships in Oracle and Java,
which deepened my interest in database tools. This experience inspired my senior project, where I
created an attendance management tool aimed at improving my institute's manual attendance system.
While there were challenges, this project marked my first step toward solving complex, analytical
problems, further fueling my interest in data-driven solutions.
Commencing my professional journey, I began working with DISYS (Digital Intelligence Systems) as a
Technical Recruiter from May 2018 to June 2019, where I sourced and onboarded over 15 IT profiles
per quarter for major US-based Oil, Gas, and Energy companies like Chevron, ExxonMobil, and Shell.
Following this, I took a professional break from June 2019 to February 2022, during which I focused on
improving my skills in Data Science, completing a course from March 2020 to January 2021. Following
that, I undertook internships from January 2021 to June 2021 to apply my learning in real-world
scenarios.
Currently, I work as a Business Analyst at InsuranceDekho, starting in February 2022. My primary
focus is on optimizing operations through automation, having saved 62 man-hours per week by
automating manual reports in FY 2024-25 Q2. I also developed predictive models that increased sales
conversions by 10%, boosting monthly revenue by 3%, and implemented a loss ratio model that reduced
losses by 2%. Additionally, I conducted competitive analysis to enhance the onboarding process and
built a performance improvement plan (PIP) for the B2B sales team. I also created a CRM that
reactivated 80% of inactive partners over three months. Leveraging SQL for data extraction, Python for
analysis, and Tableau for visualization, I have significantly improved operational efficiency and
supported a data-driven approach to business decisions.
Beyond my academic and professional pursuits, I also completed a 7-month data science certification
course during my transition from Talent Acquisition to Analytics. This training covered tools like
Advanced Excel, R, SQL, Statistics, Python, and basics of Machine Learning. To stay current and
sharpen my skills, I pursued a personal project on Business Process Management and Business
Intelligence tools like Tableau and Power BI. Additionally, I worked on freelance projects, applying my
analytical skills to solve real-world problems, handling large datasets, and extracting actionable insights,
building a solid foundation for success in the field.
Pursuing a Master’s in Business Analytics is a strategic move at this point in my career. With a strong
foundation in data analysis, programming, and problem-solving from my Computer Science
background, I further honed these skills during my undergraduate project on an Attendance ERP system.
Furthermore, the course aligns well with my strong quantitative skills, analytical mindset, and
experience in data-driven decision-making. My ability to approach complex business problems logically
and translate data into actionable insights will be key to excelling in this program. I’m eager to enhance
my knowledge in areas like Big Data, AI, and Decision Optimization. For instance, as a Business
Analyst at InsuranceDekho, I automated a 3-hour manual reporting process using advanced Excel and
VBA, reducing it to 30 minutes. This efficiency allowed me to focus on other impactful areas within the
company.
To accomplish my goals, I discovered Trinity College Dublin (TCD) in Ireland which ranks #1 in
Ireland and #87 globally as per QS WUR and is a triple accredited business school Being instructed by
professionals at TCD through first-rate modules like Business Analytics; Data Management and
Visualization; Business Data Mining; Business Forecasting; Strategy for Analytics; Ethical and Privacy
Issues in Business Data; Business Decision Optimisation; Marketing research and Analytics; Financial
Modelling and Analysis; Operation Analytics; Social Media Analysis; and Big Data and AI in
Business.would not only give me a deep understanding of business analytics but also help me to better
understand how to apply descriptive and predictive modelling techniques necessary to improve
organizational performance and comprehend business data in an ever-expanding world.
After completing my Master's, I aim to work as a Business Analyst or Data Scientist at companies like
Amazon, Google, Microsoft, or Walmart, applying my expertise in data analysis, predictive modeling,
and business intelligence to drive efficiency and strategic decisions. Long-term, I aspire to lead as a
Chief Data Officer or Head of Analytics, shaping data-driven strategies for global organizations. I also
plan to start a data-driven consulting firm, offering automation solutions and analytics services to help
businesses enhance efficiency and drive growth.
Ireland is unquestionably home to some of the biggest corporations in the world. I therefore think that
this training will greatly enhance my professional capabilities and acquaint me with the market's
current expectations. I can learn from outstanding leaders and advance my understanding of analytics,
big data, visualisation, and decision-making by enrolling in the prestigious Trinity College Dublin.
