1:Describe the preamble of the Indian constitution?
 The word preamble means introduction.
 The preamble is an introduction to the rest of the constitution.It describes the nature or features
of India as a country and the aims that India wants to achieve.
2:Why is 26th January celebrated as the Republic Day of India?
 On 26th January 1950,the constitution of India came into force and it came to be known as the
Republic of India.That is why,26th January is celebrated as the Republic Day of India.

3:What do you mean by the constitution of a country?Who framed the Indian Constitution?
 It is a document having the set of laws that state the powers and functions of the government
and the rights and duties of the people are written is called the constitution.
 Dr. B.R Ambedkar was the chief architect of the Indian Constitution,drafted by the Constituent
Assembly of India.

4.What are fundamental rights,write about the different types of fundamental rights,What would
happen if fundamental rights were not included in the constitution?

 Basic rights given to all humans,like right to freedom ,right to equality and right to live with self -
respect are called human rights or fundamental rights.
 Right to Equality—According to the Right to Equality,Every Indian is equal before the law and giving
low status to the people of so-called low castes has been banned.
 Right to Freedom-According to the right to freedom,Every Indian can speak,read and write what they
wish to.They also have the right to live anywhere they want in India and do any kind of work at any
place they choose.Under this right,all children of the age 6-14 have the right to get free and compulsory
education.
 Right to Freedom of Religion-According to this right,All Indians are free to practice any religion that
they choose.
 Right Against Exploitation
Nobody can be forced to work against his/her wish.,No child below 14 years of age can work in
factories.
 Cultural and Educational Right:These right ensure that minorities can maintain their cultural identity
and receive quality education without discrimination.
 The Right to Constitutional Remedies:The right to constitutional remedies gives us the right to go to
the court if any other fundamental right is taken away.
 If fundamental rights were not included
 Citizens might face discrimination and injustice.
 The government could become too powerful.
 Freedom of speech and expression might be restricted.
 People might not have protection from exploitation.
 Democracy could weaken without individul rights.

The situation where Sunny and his friend perform a skit on “Joy of living together’includes the fundamental
duty, We must spread and practice brotherhood among all the citizens of our country.
 Fundemental Duties .
 We must respect our constitution,national flag and national anthem.
 We must try to protect the freedom and unity of India.
 We must be ready to protect our country when needed.
 We must try to protect our culture.
 We must try to protect and improve our environment.
6.A girl is denied admission because she belongs to certain caste which fundamental right is violated?
 The fundamental right that is violated in this case is the Right to Equality of the Indian
constitution.Right to Equality prohibits discrimination on ground of reglion,race,caste ,sex,or place of
birth.Denying admission to a girl because she belongs to a certain caste is a direct violation of this
right.The constitution ensures that every individual is treated equally and has equal access to
educational institutions maintained by the state or receiving state funds.Such discrimination is
unconstitutional and illegal.

 A Sovereign Country-It is a free country whose people have full right to take decisions on all matters
related to their country.
 A Socialist Country-The country in which the wealth produced is shared equally by the society.
 A Secular Country -A country in which the government does not give special treatment to any religion
and people of all religions have equal rights.
 A Democratic Country -A country is which all the adult citizens have the right to choose their leaders.
 A Republic Country-A country which has an elected head instead of a king or a queen is called
a‘Republic’.
8:If the right to constitutional remadies is lost,can other rights be protected?
 No,”Are other rights safe without this right”.The right to constitutional remedies allows people to
approach the court if their fundamental rights are violated.Without this right,there would be no legal
way to challenge violations or seek justice.This right acts as a safeguard,ensuring that no authority can
take away or ignore fundamental rights witout consequences.
9.Can a country develop a strong constitution by adopting good points from others?
 Yes,if they fit the nations needs and values.Example
 Indian constitutional commmitte studied the constitution of several countries,such as United
Kingdom,the United States of America,Switzerland and France.They took some good points suitable
for own country.They considerd the interest and demand of the different groups of people who spoke
different languages,followed different religions,and had a unique culture.
