In today’s modern society,women have an equal position in society and

in married life.However,domestic violence against women still exists in many


places around the world.From my own perspective, many subjective and
objective reasons lead to that bad thing. Likewise,many solutions have also
been proposed to solve it.

There are a variety of reasons which can result in domestic violence.


One significant cause is lack of awareness and education about gender
equality. In many regions, people teach their young generation that men
have more power than women in any situation. Therefore, men give
themselves the right to command and abuse women, especially their wives.
Men are also violent their wives after drinking alcohol, having bad friends
and social evils. They consider it as a victory which they proudly call “wife
education”. In contrast ,women are taught to be patient with their husbands.
Everyone explain to women that it is the best way to keep a family happy for
a long time. Frequently, many female victims depend on men’s finances to
live. They must suffer family domestic violence because of fear of losing their
children and family.Society in some place thinks that it is a punishment they
deserve for their mistakes in marriage.Another cause is the lack of strong law
enforcement to protect women.In many developing contries ,human rights
are not really promoted.It leads to when women report,they do not deal with
complaint.Moreover,the legal process can long and complicated,causing
mental anxiety for victims.

To end family abuse, the most important suggest is to solve from the
root. Education is essential.It teach boys and girls to form good values. For
example, programs of human right,gender equality and violence will form the
correct awareness for children. Governments must strengthen legal
protection for women.This must consist of strict and fair laws to ensure
women’s development. Authorities must ensure equal rights for all citizens in
family and society. Not only external efforts, each person must protect
themselves from it. Men must respect and treat their wives well. Women
should be financially independent and have their own minds in order not to
depend on anyone. Parents must also be an example of happy family to build
a foundation for their children in the future.

In conclusion,domestic violence in many contries is still a significant issue


for the government and society.However,I believe that situation will be
resolve soon,people will not have to suffer from anything in family. Each
individual needs to take responsibility to make domestic violence disappear.
