Subject: Provisional Selection List for the posts of Steno Typist, advertised
vide Notification No. 01 of 2021 dated 03.02.2021.
NOTIFICATION
Whereas, the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board, vide Indent No.
Horti/56/2017 dated 15.10.2020 received 23 Posts of Steno Typist from Horticulture Department,
which were put to advertisement vide Notification No. 01 of 2021 dated 03.02.2021 as per the
following category-wise break up:

Whereas, the requisite qualification for selection against these posts, as per the Indent, is
given as under:
"Graduation from any recognised University having minimum speed of 60 and 45
words per minute in shorthand and type writing respectively"
Whereas, J&K Services Selection Board, conducted the Type Test andShort Hand
Test for these posts for which the result was declared on 19. 10.2024 and 25.10.2024, and
accordingly, the Written Examination (OMR based) of the successful candidates for the posts of
Steno Typist was conducted on 31.12.2024. Based on the performance of the candidates in it, the
Board, vide Notification No. JKSSB-COEOEXAM(UT)/56/2023-03(7245277) and 17.03.2025
published the Result/Score-sheet of the candidates; and
Whereas, after the publication of Result/Score-sheet, the candidates, falling under
the consideration zone, were called for Document Verification both at Jammu and Srinagar on
15.04.2025, followed by supplementary Document Verification on 25.04.2025; and
Whereas, the JKSSB, Vide Order No.162-SSB of 2025 dated 28.05.2025, a Selection
Committee was constituted for preparing the Selection List for 23 posts of Steno Typist, of
Horticulture Department; and
Whereas, the said Selection Committee, upon careful scrutiny of the
Indents/advertisements, prepared the Provisional Selection List for 21 Posts in accordance with
the Merit/ Eligibility and preference of the candidates as per the extant rules as 02 posts, 01
m
each under item No. 67 (SC category) & item No. 73
(RBA Category) have remained unfilled for
want of eligible candidates and samne was placed in
the board in its 307th meeting, held on
01.07.2025, which after due deliberations and consideration of the
matter, approved its notification:

Now, therefore, the Provisional Selection List of the
candidates for 21 posts of Steno
Typist of Horticulture Department advertised vide Notification No.
01 of 2021 dated 03.02.2021, is
hereby notified as per "Annexure-A" to this Notification. It is further
notified that:
i. This Provisional Selection List shall be subject to outcome of the
OAs/Writ Petition(s), if any,
pending in the competent court of law.
ii. This shall also be subject to the outcome of any pending inquiry,
involving candidate(s),
figuring in this Provisional Selection List.
iii. This is a Provisional List and shall be subject to the change(s) as per
the objections as may
be received against it and mere fiquring in it shall not confer any right to selection,
which shall
be finalized after examination of the objections based on
merit.
iv. In case any candidate(s) is aggrieved with this Provisional Selection List, or intends to furnish
any document/clarification regarding his withheld candidature, he/she may
represent through
the e-mail address
[email protected] within (10) ten days from the
date
of this Notification, beyond which no representations
whatsoever shall be
entertained. The representations in this regard shall necessarily include complete details of
the candidate including Name, Address, Roll Number and Contact Number.
