I am writing to express my enthusiastic interest in the PhD position focused on elucidating the
role of new components of DNA pathways. While my previous research on the morphometric
analysis of adult zebrafish exposed to silver nanoparticles might seem distinct from this project
at first glance, it has provided me with a strong foundation in experimental design, data analysis,
and meticulous execution of research protocols. My experience in this project involved careful
observation, data collection, and analysis of complex biological processes, which has installed in
me a strong analytical mindset and a keen eye for detail – qualities essential for success in the
demanding field of DNA repair research.

I am particularly excited about the opportunity to learn advanced techniques like CRISPR/Cas9
genome engineering, live-cell imaging, and cryo-EM, which are integral to this project. My
previous research and experiences has equipped me with a strong understanding of molecular
biology techniques such as PCR, DNA extraction, other than my masters research, providing me
a solid foundation for seamlessly transitioning to the project’s sophisticated methodologies.

I am confident that my enthusiasm for scientific discovery, combined with my adaptability and
eagerness to learn, will enable me to contribute meaningfully to this project. I am eager to
