Man s Search For Meaning By Victor Frankl
MSFM Essay From his book Man s Search for Meaning , Victor Frankl has proven from
overcoming one of the most daunting, horrendous human experiences that he is not only very
intelligent, but has one of the strongest sets of a heart and mind this world has ever seen. What s
most incredible to me is that he not only made it through the center of the deadliest world war and
endured the highest form of human mental and physical suffering, he had the strength and will
to write about it. What I really enjoyed the most about Frankl in his story was his unique, first
person view of the world around him and his efforts to relay the realities of that world in the most
objective way possible. It s as if he knew he would one day have to deliver his experience to the
world so he made a choice to use his intellect and imagination from the start of his experiences. I
can t even begin to imagine what he and other holocaust survivors endured, even more so
choosing to re live every second of those memories after the experience by writing a book about
them. It seems, from his writings, he made the difficult decision to write the book because of his
concluding that having an account to his experiences for the people of the world to look upon and
learn from was more important than the intense mental strife the process of writing the book would
have on him. For that I greatly respect this author and educator for if it weren t for his strength we
would not have the great, positive and

Based on the results of your experiment, would you reject or accept each hypothesis that you
produced in question 1? Explain how you determined this. Direct vs indirect accept/reject
=Rejected. The motor was just as fast when the solar panel was set up at a 45 degree angle Direct
vs reflected accept/reject = Accepted. When the foil was reflected at the solar panel, the motor
moved faster. Direct vs shaded accept/reject = At 25% shading Rejected The motor moved just as
fast as when the solar panel was completely exposed to sunlight. At 50% Accepted The motor
moved slower than when the solar panel was completely exposed to sunlight (speed medium to
fast) At 75% Accepted The motor moved very slow compared to when the solar panel was
completely exposed to sunlight (Very slow) Direct vs filtered accept/reject = Rejected Upon being
covered by the red, yellow, green, and blue cellophane, the motor moved the same as in direct
sunlight 3. Does increased exposure to the sun s light produce more current? Explain how you
know this based on your data. Answer = YES. The more exposure the solar panel had to the sun, the
faster the motor moved. Through a variety of trials with the solar panel and exposure to the sun, it
was determined that the more exposure the solar panel had, the

When they defined the problem, they have to set the research objectives. The marketing research has
three types:1.Exporatory research 2. Descriptive research 3. Casual research
First the company has to lead an exploratory research. Explore what the exact problem is: this
includes the gathering of preliminary information that will help define the problem and suggest
hypotheses. After gathering the information from exploratory, the company needs to define another
objective, which is descriptive in this case that is to ascertain certain magnitudes demographic
information. Some research is casual that is to test a cause and effect relationship.
Developing the research plan for collecting information
The second step of the marketing research process calls for determining the information needed,
developing a plan for gathering if efficiently and presenting the plan to marketing management. The
plan outlines sources of existing data and explains the specific research approaches, contact methods,
sampling plans and instruments that researchers will use to gather new data (Phillip Kotler:
Principles of marketing)
Secondary and primary research
Secondary data exist of information that already exists somewhere, having been collected for
another purpose. It is a quick way to get information and it is cheaper than primary data. Although it
can not provide all the necessary data, so primary
The Second Generation Asian Americans
The United States is known to acquire more opportunities and to allow people around the world to
make a better living for themselves and their family. As many migrated over to the U.S., immigrants
found themselves going through economic hard times. The most dramatic turn of the century was
during the 1920s with the emergence of second generation Asian Americans. Although some Asian
Americans were born in their homeland, coming to the U.S. at the age of six still classified them as
Asian Americans as they were raised within assimilation of America. Second Generation Asian
Americans experienced America more than their parents ever did and that caused a lot of concerns
and tension between them and their parents. The Second Generation Asian Americans experienced
tension between their parents with the emergence of the second generation, the influence of the
American culture, creating their own paths and future, and the racial discrimination while growing
up. The emergence of the second generation bloomed quickly and by 1930, 41% of the Chinese
population in America was naturalized born citizens. The birth of a child in America was
symbolization of an elite status in an Asian Americans family (Lee 177). First generation immigrant
parents feared the worst for their children who were second generation Asian Americans. The parents
of the children feared that their children will grow up learning the American culture and language
that they would become too Americanized and forget
Asthma Is The Leading Cause Of Illness Among Elementary...
Asthma is the leading cause of illness among elementary aged and adolescence students. The Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) states asthma is one of the leading causes of school
absenteeism (2013). Asthma friendly schools are those schools that make the effort to create and
support a safe learning environment for asthmatic students. School nurses have initiated policies and
procedures helping children successfully manage their asthma. Successful school based asthma
programs have been researched looking at the best ways to manage asthma in schools.

The outcome is there are less absenteeism s of the students who receive self management education
from the school nurse versus those students who do not receive self education. Asthmatic children
miss three times as many school days and have 1.7 times the risk of learning disabilities as
children without asthma; therefore, at risk for poor school performance (Portwood Nelson, 2013).
Approximately 9.2 million children younger than 18 years old have been diagnosed with asthma;
3.2 million or approximately 6 percent of children five to seventeen have had an asthma attack
within the year (CDC, 2013). Asthma friendly schools make an effort to create a safe and
supportive learning environment for students with asthma. Research and case studies looked at the
best approaches to manage asthmatic children in schools and found schools that collaborate with
asthma care clinicians to ensure care, schools that have strong administration that support school
nurses and support asthma education for faculty and staff, and schools that support evaluation of
school based programs and use asthma action plans have fewer school absentees (CDC, 2013).
School absenteeism may be related to poor academic performance, is costing to the parent due to
lost wages from the inability to work, and schools receive federal funding for days attended,
funding may be decreased (Carpenter, Lachance, Wilkin, Clark, 2013). As the school nurse and the
project leader for this
Prohibition Of Marijuana, Heroin, And Other Drugs
It is also possible that drug users are irrational decision makers and might not understand the adverse
long term effects and addictive properties. Prohibition should reduce demand through legal
penalties; however, since not all drug users are rational choice makers, demand can increase by
creating a forbidden fruit effect. The consequences of increased use add to the complexity and costs
of enforcement on both drugusers and the general population. Drug users, trying to avoid the legal
consequences of their use, often times interact with non users in ways that are harmful and costly.
Additionally, non users are also impacted by increased taxes to pay for the enforcement, by
regulations to check for drugs that take time and are inconvenient, and by becoming innocent
bystanders that can get caught in the middle of attempted arrests, often with deadly affects.
The long federal experiment in prohibition of marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and other drugs has given
us unprecedented crime and corruption combined with a manifest failure to stop the use of drugs or
reduce their availability to children. The factor that determines the amount of violence created by
prohibition is the level of enforcement. There are two main reasons for this. One, black markets only
form when the enforcement is very strict and, two, increasingly strict enforcement leads to violence
both in making arrests and as competing suppliers seek to capture market share. The violence not
only impacts those
The Confederate Flag Controversy Of Police Brutality
In modern times, the United States is bombarded with racism and discrimination. From the
confederate flag controversy to police brutality, the United States is reflecting a morbid past. Events
such as these are fueled by false understandings of race and ethnicity; leading to stereotypes. For the
Irish, Jews, and Italians, stereotypes led to severe discrimination from opportunities and isolation
from society.
Stereotypes in the past had a significant impact on the Irish people. Stereotypes such as the
religion of the Irish: Catholicism. Catholicism brought new holidays: Ash Wednesday and lent.
English raised Americans were scared of these. Leading to the names vampire and baby killer for
the Irish s belief of wine and bread to represent Jesus Christ: Transubstantiation. Then, the Irish
were compared to apes and equivalent to the blacks in the South. Irish were now seen as inferior
to those of English decent. Not only were the women unmarried, all the men were young and
single. It was assumed any single woman staying in a tenement was sleeping with all the men.
Leading to names Bridget and Paddy being derogatory for the Irish women and man. Whereas in
reality, they were street smart and independent. Traditions were twisted into stereotypes, such as the
Irish s pub culture. The men would drink before and after work in order to relax themselves for the
day, but was depicted as alcoholism. The Irish people were able to fight the stereotypes, but the
discrimination made
Personal Narrative-Coloring Analysis
Me coloring when I was four helped me solve and understand my own advanced biometrics into who
I am today. Totally bantering.
Growing up was not the best, but it was not the worst either. I guess I could say that I was overall
content with the environment I was raised in, although there were some difficult times that I wish
had not happened, but I would not change a thing because all those obstacles made me become
strong both mentally and physically, independent, and ambitious.
I lived in a small trailer home with my mom, dad, older brother and younger brother. I loved that
little trailer, even if it was not the best, I still called it home. Even though I loved that place, there
were times when I noticed that my parents would struggle financially and they wanted us to have
more than a little home, they wanted the best for us. There were also personal difficult obstacles we
had to overcome as a family. As a result, my mom went back into college to study for a Registered
Nurse. I didn t spend as much time with my mom as one child wishes they could, but I knew she
was working lots of hours and going to class just to be able to give us the life she thought we
deserved. The same applies for my dad, I knew he would come home from work in pain, exhausted,
but he was doing it all for his kids. As I was growing up and noticing these things about them, I
began to admire them and loved how ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I see myself as strong both mentally and physically because through every obstacle I faced, my
parents always told me to keep my head up and that pain is only temporary. Seeing that my mom
was able to get through college without help from her family and be able to support herself made
me admire that aspect of her and realize that I don t need to depend on anyone to be successful.
Lastly, ambitious because if you ever want to get anything in life, you have to work hard for it and

Comparing Luhrmann s Romeo And Juliet
Romeo and Juliet Romeo and Juliet (1996), was directed by Baz Luhrmann, and was adapted for
film by Craig Pearce and Baz Luhrmann. This movie is modern and captivating, using a
combination of Shakespearean language with pop music and intensely colorful visuals.
Leonardo di Caprio stars as the passionate Romeo, and Clare Danes portrays the alluring Juliet. In
the movie, Luhrmann portrays the families who live in Verona Beach as gangster types,
brandishing guns, and fighting amongst each other. The main themes of the play include love,
autonomy vs. societal influence, and the inevitability of fate. One major theme of the movie is
love. Romeo s and Juliet s so called love for each other is really just infatuation. Teenagers have
the same feelings today that they had in Shakespearean times. Teens are very dramatic, falling in
love every other week. They think that the person they find in school is the person they re going
to be with for the rest of their lives. We all know that this rarely happens. They truly believe they
re in love, because it seems all encompassing, but they really don t know what love is until they
marry someone who s willing to get up in the middle of the night to change a diaper. They are in
love for the sake of being in love.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
societal influence. Romeo and Juliet had to keep their relationship a secret due to their families
feuding, their loyalty to their family, and other outside influences. Juliet was unable to make her
own decision regarding marriage because her parents had arranged for her to marry Paris. In today s
society, young people have more autonomy because of the use of social media. Adolescents are often
in a state of rebellion in an attempt to control their own destiny. The timeless goal of autonomy
influences adolescents to detach from authoritarian parents. Their desire for autonomy, and peer
acceptance sometimes leads to risky
