Awareness Of Mental Illnesses And Treatment Options Essay
Awareness of Mental Illness in My Community Awareness of mental illnesses and treatment options
are an ongoing issue in America. This problem isn t one that can be simply solved overnight. But
starting from the community level, people have the power to make a difference. A difference that
could benefit people who are suffering with a mental illness and don t have the opportunities to seek
help and treatment. In my community, I have found three mental healthservices. They consist of
Eyerly Ball, Alliance, and Mercy. Eyerly Ball is a nonprofit, community based organization governed
by a volunteer Board of Directors. The services they offer are; community outreach services,
outpatient services, and residential services. The community outreach services consist of nine
different sections. The categories I will emphasize the most is one through five. The first being
Forensic Assertive Community Treatment, this treatment helps individuals in the criminal justice
system who suffer with a serious mental illness. This treatments goal is to help those individuals be
successful in the community without entering jail, prison, or unnecessary psychiatric hospitalizations.
Second, Eyerly Ball offers Integrated Health Home. The IHH is a team based health care delivery
model. It consists of a nurse care coordinator, care coordinator, and a peer support specialist. Each
participant is assigned a team who actively assess the participant s mental and physical status. With
doing this, they
Comparing Poems Ghazal And To His Coy Mistress
Both Ghazal and To his coy mistress explore intense feelings and attitudes towards love. In Ghazal ,
the narrator uses the word if multiple times, as if they are thinking of different scenarios in their
head about their lover. This suggests that the narrator feels as if they have endless time to spend with
their partner; they think that love is timeless, and they have plenty of time to try out new ideas and
scenarios with their love. The anaphora of the word if suggests that their partner is constantly on
their mind, and that they continuously think about them, showing that the narrator s love is
passionate and consuming. The idea of timeless love is also reinforced through the natural imagery
in the poem such as breeze , grass ... Show more content on [Link] ...
While we may suggests that the narrator thinks that their love is running out of time, and that they
should act upon it now before it s too late, and that they should make the most of it whilst they can.
This is further reinforced when the narrator writes rather at once time devour , showing that the
narrator sees time as the enemy, and that it may devour their lover before they can fully express their
love to each other. The first stanza in his coy mistress is written in tetrameter, suggesting that the
narrator is controlled and calm, trying to put forth their suggestions and persuade their lover to fulfill

Economics Paper
University of Phoenix

May 6, 2013

Economics is a tool that we use in our daily lives even if we don t always realize it. As people we
all have things that we want, and things that we need. This includes things like food, clothing, and
shelter, but it is not limited to those things. In order to get those things, people have to spend
money. The issue is that everything that people need and want costs money. More often than not,
people do not have the money to do both so they have to decide which things are important for
them to have right now. This does not only apply to families, but businesses as well. This paper will
address different types of economics and some of the factors that contribute to its changes. ... Show

Businesses will increase the production of goods and services that cost more money because
they will be able to increase their profit margins. In the same way, when prices decrease they will
scale back the production of those products because they will not be able to as much of a profit.
Companies will always do what is best for them, and the number one reason for them being in
business is to make money. What the consumer wants will always dictate they type and price of
goods and services that are supplied. When a certain type of product comes out or starts to
increase in sales it directly affects the market for that product or service. An example of this is
when iPods came out and got very popular. The price of the product was high initially, but they
were still selling very well. Apple increased its production because they were able to make greats
profits from it. After this happened there was an influx of other mp3 players from a plethora of
other electronics companies. Since they had new found competition, Apple was forced to lower
the price of the item. Consumers still preferred the iPod over many of the other mp3 players on the
market, and because of their presence, the iPod became much more affordable. In economics the
law of demand states that all else equal, as the price of a product increases, a lower
Strategic Outsourcing at Bharti Airtel Limited
(a). Problem Essay: The main problem Bharti Airtel Limited facing is How to manage its capital
expenditures for its operations and how to face the expected exponential growth and a
competitive environment. The challenges that the company is facing are 1. Keeping pace with
expansion: Bharti s customer base is growing at 100% per year. It has its mobile operations
currently in 15 circles out of 25 in the country and its fixed line operations in 6 circles. So it is a
huge challenge to keep pace with the expansion. 2. Capital expenditures and the risk: They are

For example: Bharti agrees to pay IBM a share of its revenues and this percentage of revenue
shared will decline as the overall revenue increases. (c). Action Plan: The deal should ensure the
following outcomes and should follow the steps mentioned in order to achieve them: 1. The deal
should include clauses to avoid risks and should assure all the advantages mentioned above. 2.
Quality control: Detailed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) covering every aspect of outsourcing
(for both IT and telecom) with associated penalties for non conformance provided a framework for
monitoring. If any of the measurements fall below/ above certain threshold levels as indicated,
there are penalties/ rewards as appropriate. 3. Cost reduction: Along with SLAs, it should also
define Key Performance Indicators through which the performance of vendors were monitored and
measured. By going for long term partnerships with select vendors of repute with detailed SLAs,
Bharti can reduce the explicit transaction costs with the external vendors, thus making it a viable
business model. Thus, by monitoring the SLAs, key performance indicators, it should ensure that
the vendor fulfills its obligations and guard itself against potential vendor opportunism. 4. Final
step is to arrive at the cost model of deal. Cost model of deal should be such that it is beneficial for

Chinese Culture Paper
Chinese Culture and How It Relates to Nursing Care
Understanding what culture is and how it affects the nursing practice is essential to ensure the best
possible and appropriate care is given. All cultures are different, and what may be acceptable for
one could be an insult to another. Potter and Perry (2017) define culture as being associated with
norms, values, and traditions passed down through generations (p. 102). However, this is not the
only definition since there are many different views on what culture entails. Because of the vastness
of cultural groups, it is important that nurses have cultural competence, a good grasp of the patient s
specific cultural needs and beliefs, and the ability to alter their day to day routine to achieve ... Show

TCM practitioners look for underlying imbalances and disharmonies behind an illness to try and
treat the patient, instead of just the disease ( Traditional Chinese Medicine, 2017). Chinese
practices, such as acupuncture and herbal treatments, have become very popular in the Western
world over the last few decades. These practices are derived from the beliefs of Qi (pronounced
chee) and Yin and Yang, which involve energy and balance. Qi, or life energy, is a central belief
in TCM and is believed to flow through a number of channels, or meridians, throughout the body (
Traditional Chinese Medicine, 2017). The meridians are different organ systems in the body, and
are categorized into yin organs and yang organs. The terms yin and yang are derived from the
Chinese belief that all things have two aspects... and that ...a balance of yin and yang are
necessary for health ( Traditional Chinese Medicine, 2017). Essentially, the relationship of yin and
yang is like two sides of the same coin; opposite, but they balance each other out. Yin is associated
with qualities that are feminine, dark, passive, and usually symbolized by earth or water, while
yang is associated with qualities that are masculine, light, active, and usually symbolized by air or
fire ( Traditional Chinese Medicine, 2017). These beliefs are what drive TCM and must be

Musée des Beaux Arts by W. H. Auden Essay
Suffering is embedded in our daily lives. There are devastating things going on in our daily
environments and yet, people seldom realize this as they occupy themselves with other tasks. W.H.
Auden s, Musée des Beaux Arts, is a statement on human perceptions and how we use them to
observe, or block out humansuffering. While we are doing ordinary things like eating, or opening a
window, bad things can be happening to others and it is as easy as looking up, to see what is
actually going on. Auden illustrates societies indifference to human suffering through the form of
his poem and by alluding to artwork that compares human perceptions and juxtaposes ordinary
images with images of suffering and tragedy. The form of Musée des Beaux Arts... Show more

The lines are enjambed with phrases stopping in the middle of new lines and lines spilling into
other lines. The lines do not pause to acknowledge the end of sentences like people seldom pause
their daily lives to acknowledge the suffering of those around them. Auden also uses bad syntax
in the last line of the poem, had somewhere to get to and sailed calmly on. Auden may have
chosen to write in this free form to demonstrate that people are so indifferent to what is going on
around them that it does not make any difference what form the poem is written in, as it will only
be overlooked and not given any attention. The form of the poem allows the reader to consider the
ways in which suffering is masked by the frenzy of everyday life and that even the acknowledged
suffering of others does not seem to be of any concern to anybody but the sufferer. Auden s poem is
a criticism of human perceptions and how we use them to detect, or suppress human suffering. In the
first half of the poem Auden compares versions of indifference by portraying youth and age,
animals, and humans (Shmoop, 2014). In the first few lines of the poem, Auden comments on the
perceptions of the Old Masters and how they were never wrong in their discernment of suffering. He
then compares the old masters perceptions to the perceptions of children and animals and how they
are unaware of,
Functionalist View On Society
Our world is constantly evolving as we make new and improved advances in society. As the world
changes, we fall into different groups. Some are made to be a temporary group while others are
permanently, such as being a part of a cheer team or becoming a grandmother. These groups vary
in size, importance, and behavior. This leads to being a part of a culture called society. Society is a
group of people who interact and share a common culture. Everyone has different views on society
but can generally be summed up to fit into three paradigms that dominate sociological thinking:
structural functionalism, conflict theory, and symbolic interactionism. Functionalism Functionalism
originates from English philosopher and biologist Herbert Spencer. Functionalist view society as
interrelated parts that work together to meet the need of a function. Society is more than just
individual parts but rather each part is functional for the stability of the whole. Hebert Spencer
(1820 1903), who saw similarities between society and the human body; he argued that just as the
various organs of the body work together to keep the body functioning, the various parts of society
work together to keep society functioning (Spencer 1898). Emile Durkheim elaborated on Spencer
s view and saw society as an organism. For example, our human body is made up of different organ
systems that work together so that we can breathe, walk, eat and live. Each organ plays a role but
cannot function as individuals to

When she first meets the Doctor, she is a 19 year old girl who is dissatisfied with her life and
unsure of where she is headed. The Doctor is equally as adrift, traumatized from his own history
and lacking in compassion. As they travel, Rose and the Doctor begin to fix one another s
emotional damage (Burke and Smith? 185). Throughout her travels with the Doctor, Rose
discovers that the Doctor is missing an essential emotional component that is shared by most of
humanity, which of course, is because the Doctor is not human. She often finds herself in a
position to show him how to be compassionate (Britton). It is this empathy that makes Rose such a
strong character, and makes it easy to see why the Doctor would love her. In The Parting of Ways
Rose becomes almost godlike in order to save the Doctor, before he can sacrifice himself for her
