The Effectiveness of the Observed Classroom Management Strategies

Classroom management plays a crucial role in shaping a student s performance in class. As a result,
a teacher s role is ensuring a conducive learning environment for all students. Teachers must put their
best foot forward in ensuring they develop this invaluable skill which can only be learnt through
continuous practice in the classroom. Generally, teachers are expected to manage their classrooms
during the lessons. They are expected to arrange the classrooms (students), clearly outline the class
rules before the start of a lesson, command behavior expectations, outline lesson goals as well as
move around the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Alternatively, I could alternate lessons where I teach for the entire lesson then on the next one I
present the group discussion prompts. I believe this would go a long way into shaping the
performance of the students especially the poorly performing ones and the minority ones as well.
This can be attributed to the fact that a significant number of teachers in the video logs seem to be
adopting the same strategies for class management.

The Effectiveness of the Observed Academic Language, Metacognition, and Communication

Strategies
The effectiveness of the academic language, a metacognition as well as communication strategy is
evident in the video logs. In general metacognition in learning is evoked through a clear explanation
of the lesson objectives, goals and vision; explanation of the purpose for studying that particular
lesson, asking questions and listening to feedback as well as assessing what the students have learnt
at the end of each lesson. The effectiveness of the academic language can then be measured by the
effective communication and use of technical terms without consequent explanation. The teacher can
as well explain the technical terms at the beginning of the lessons then encourage their use by
assigning students roles on the same topics later on as the lesson continues. Similarly, conventional
communication strategies have revolved around both verbal and
Child Labour In Colombia Essay
The child labour is a serious widespread social problem for the rural and urban Colombia. There are
many reasons why the children in this country are submitted to work either by their own or an
obligation.
Until some years ago, in the rural zone the families were numerous specially to ensure a cheaper
workforce showing a well known growth of the population in these zones instead of the urban ones
where one didn t see this problem and increasing the incident of poverty. So, the principal reason of
child labour in Colombia is that the children meet forced to help economically their families
according to an investigation of the Dane.
Accessing to education is a challenge for many Colombian children, especially indigenous and Afro
Colombian because is hindered by internal armed conflict, impassible routes and long distances
between the children s homes and the school in rural areas.
Domestic work is an issue that Colombia began to address relatively in 2014, in consultation with
the ILO. More work is needed to change the cultural belief that domestic work doesn´t constitute
child labor, a belief that particularly disadvantages girls, who are the majority of those who labor in
the privacy of the home where child labor is more difficult to detect. Household chores are
classified among the worst forms of child labor (servitude, domestic work), and accidents in the
home are the fourth most common cause of death and injury in Colombia.
This issue affects in diverse ways around the
Jan Brueghel s Extensive Landscape With Travellers On A...
St. Louis, Missouri is famous for the Gateway Arch and the Zoo; however, the Saint Louis Art
Museum (SLAM) is something that can t be overlooked. At a recent trip, I found a landscape
painting that shows the true meaning of human interaction. This panting is called Extensive
Landscape With Travellers on a Country Road and was painted by Jan Brueghel the Elder around
1608 to 1610. Some background information about the infamous painter Jan Brueghel is that he was
born in 1568 in Brussels, Belgium. He was a painter of immense diversity. His art work includes
biblical, mythological, battle scenes, seascapes, still lifes, portraits, and numerous landscapes. Some
of his landscapes themes include: woodland hunts, mountain prospects, country roads... Show more

It shows the true beauty of a landscape painting with numerous formal elements and principles of
design. The painting is appealing to me because I have always been engaged outside working on
our farm, or hunting with my brother. Knowing the importance a road make for my family when
we move are goods to the local grain elevator. This panting is similar in that regard because it
involves the working class on a winding road. Their dependence on the road to move goods and
obtain food from place to place. Brueghel s painting still hold true today because people depend
on roads for interaction and movement of goods. When gazing at the painting, I can see myself
stuck in time; performing the different tasks alongside the road. When I first saw the painting
compared to now, I would say that my response to the panting has changed. At first glance you see
a typical landscape; however, when analyzing the painting you can find the true meaning of human
interactions. As you can see, The Extensive Landscape With Travellers on a Country Road by Jan
Brueghel is a remarkable painting with numerous elements and principles of design. I hope you
enjoyed this painting as much as I have. I would of never guessed that such a remarkable painting
would be located so close to home at the St. Louis Art
Janice Aucoin Research Paper
Anna Terese Janice Aucoin. Yes, those four names are all mine. Nothing more, nothing less. It s
different than the typical three names that most everyone has. Contrary to the Sophia Grace
Smiths, the Elizabeth Mary Williams, and the Ashley Sara Jones who dominate much of the
population, I am unique. Now my middle name, Janice, is to blame for my four names. When I
was born, my parents had already decided on Anna Terese Aucoin, only three names at that time
not four, when they realized every grandparent had a namesake except for one, my Maw Maw,
Janice Aucoin. Knowing that would upset her, my parents decided to squeeze her name in between
my last name and what would have been my middle name, Terese. Despite my parents effort to fit it
in, I do not invoke it often. Regularly, I try to hide it except for when I m forced to put it on the
occasional standardized tests.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Anna Terese. Not just Anna, not just Terese, but Anna Terese with all ten letters and a space in
between. When I was younger, it always took my teachers a while to grasp the concept of a
double first name. First day of school, teachers would call out Anna and I would correct them with
Anna Terese, but they would continue with the roll, telling Anna where to sit. Once in preschool,
not even hearing my desperate claims that Janice, not Terese was my middle name, my teacher
tried to convince me that Anna was my first name and Terese was my middle name. It ended with
me crying and my teacher writing solely Anna on my paper. I then became an Anna. I was not an
Anna. Undeterred by this label, I have learned to live with being an Anna although, to me, Anna is
still a girl with pin straight hair and name brand skinny jeans, not me, a girl with curls and knockoff

Financial Analysis Of Norfolk Southern Corporation Essay
Financial Analysis of Norfolk Southern Corporation Norfolk Southern Corporation s subsidiary,
Norfolk Southern Railway Company, is one of the largest railroad operations in the United
States. Norfolk Southern operates 20,000 route miles in 22 states and the District of Columbia,
and is a major transporter of coal, automotive, and industrial products (Corporate Profile). Norfolk
Southern Corporation s coal division sources, blends, and transports metallurgical coal, which is
used to make steel, and steam coal from several basins across the country. Norfolk Southern
transports coal from mines to domestic and international markets (Coal). A significant portion,
roughly 17% in 2015, of Norfolk Southern s revenue is from coal operations. However, coal
revenues decreased $559 million, or 23%, compared with 2014 (2015). A financial analysis of
Norfolk Southern reveals a decline in many solvency, liquidity, and profitability measures from
2014 to 2015. Income may have decreased due to the decline in demand for metallurgical and
thermal coal. Lower natural gas prices and the regulatory environment may be responsible for the
decrease in demand for coal (Earnings Preview). Consequently, there were fewer shipments, or
sales. In addition, the decline in oil prices may have lowered fuel surcharge revenues, resulting in
less income (Earnings Preview). During the financial analysis of Norfolk Southern, the entity s
liquidity and solvency were assessed. Liquidity is the measure of

Summary Of Beeton s Explanation Of Social Class
This excerpt tells shows a clear explanation of class divisions, each person in the household
representing a class. The Master/Mistress represents the higher class, The Lady s Maid represents
the middle class, and the Housemaid represents the lower class. Beeton describes the master and
mistress as sensible and kind , and claims how greatly they depend on their servants in various
areas of their everyday lives, but how they also provide them with clothing and treating them
fairly. She describes the lady s maid as doing almost everything for the mistress, and includes how
they must have good taste, a good sense of fashion, and must be clean. She also explains that the
lady s maid should know when it is appropriate to speak and when it is

My grandfather s trusty, old analog alarm goes off at 9am every morning. I look to my bed side to
see the collection of pictures depicting my coalminer family dating back generations. My great
grandfather, Bobby Sr., was the first to settle in this Appalachian town. This is the little house he
build just close enough to the coal mines to be safe from a collapse, but never too far too walk a few
miles. This bed, here, was my mother s. I hand sewed those curtains when I was a little girl. After
my husband s passing due to lung cancer, I ve lived in the house alone. I took care of John, for two
years before he passed. The coal mining community is my home. It never seemed like I had the
choice to leave. I went to the local community college and got my associate s degree in
environmental studies. After working odd jobs for local environmental organizations, I have retired
to a modest living in my home town. The traditional coal community is no longer a booming
industry, but the same chemical smell still engulfs the air.
I get out of bed and do my daily stretches. I have arthritis in my knees from doing all of those odd
minimum wage jobs for the miners as a young lady. Then, I brush my teeth with my tap water that
just tastes like Appalachia. My usual breakfast, two boiled eggs and toast are ready in less than 10
mins. After all of this is done, it s about 9:45am. I am ready to get dressed and go on my daily walks

You are a young hotshot physical Anthropologist with the discovery of the century. We probably
know less about Homo erectus then we did 20 years ago. But your new site and find answer all the
questions. Tell me what Homo erectus was like and what data proves your case. How were they like
humans and how were they different.

Introduction
Throughout history, humans have gone through evolution and adapted to new environmental
changes to survive. One would wonder how they manage to survive and dominate the Earth for
so long. A possible ancestor to humans known as Homo erectus (sometimes called Homo
ergaster) may have been the reason why humans have been so successful in survival today. Homo
erectus has been a live about 1.89 million years ago to 143,000 years ago. He was the first
hominid to leave Africa and was also known as Turkana Boy in Africa, Peking Man in China, and
Java Man in Indonesia. H. erectus gained his name for being able to stand upright or have an erect
posture. One can say that they are the pioneers of the Old World because they were the first hominid
to master the use of fire. Once evolution took place, they began developing larger skulls. This allows
their brain to grow larger, thus becoming even more intelligent. Because of this, H. erectus became
very successful in creating cultural technologies that allowed them to adapt to new environmental
opportunities. Through speculating this
