The Importance Of Managing Time
The semester goal this year was to go from a 2.75 GPA to a 3.4 GPA. While trying to maintain this
average, students should know that they will need to study more frequently by using the school
resources such as the CLC and the library area to stay more focused. By having confidence,
knowing how to manage time, and communicating with he or she professors, students should pass
easily by doing these things. But first, let s talk about confidence. When students go to class they
seem to not pay attention at all, maybe because, it s either early in the morning or the course is just
too long and they just lose interest. But most of the time, it s because they don t have enough
confidence within themselves. In order to gain some confidence... Show more content on

The point of this situation is basically don t be the one to always come with excuses. Excuses just
states people work ethic. Which brings up managing time again, basically stating that if Roth s
student put more effort into his work, he would ve been notified based on his work performance
and not no one who just going through the motions. Another thing students should do, so he or she
won t miss any assignments, is to communicate with the professors. By communicating with the
professors, that will let them know that their students want to succeed and they will want to help
more often by making up their own study sessions and giving students study guides on what
should be on the tests they take. But, what about the students with jobs? Students with jobs should
always have their professors email just in case they can t make it to class, that way the professor
can excuse them from class. But while communicating with your professors, students should still
keep going to the CLC area and library because it helps them stay focused and they will get the
help they need in order to pass. Also they have a lot of resources, like books for English or literature
class, calculators for math, and most importantly computers so students can do their homework
without having an excuse. Based on these three tips and the book Bernard Roth wrote, the best
decision is to go to the CLC and library to get help. Even though some students don t
Abortion Executive Branch
The purpose of this American government research paper is to discuss the topic of abortion and
how it relates to the three branches of the American government. This essay will research the
Executive, Judicial and Legislative branches. I will use research from sources to cover how this
topic plays out in the government along with its effects on the American people. The US Federal
Government has dealt with abortionby different facts between the Executive Branch, the Judicial
Branch, and the Legislative Branch. Abortion is a process that terminates pregnancy. The decisions
that the government are trying to put in play are hard because everyone has different views on
abortions. While, the Supreme Court s, the laws, and the president all are trying to reduce abortion,
it is like taking away from another life that is being created. Still, until this day they are still trying
to have decisions on abortions. It remains a relevant topic on major news stations and as recently
with attacks at a Planned Parenthood.
In the Executive Branch, the President doesn t approve of abortions. President Obama is trying to ...

In the case of Planned Parenthood v. Casey it was upheld for a woman s right to legal abortion, but
must have a 24 hour waiting period. Though legal abortion is still going on but it s coming to have
stricter boundaries. Parental involvement only one parent is to stay with child. In 1990, two cases
which was Hodgson v. Minnesota as well as Ohio v. Akron center for Reproductive Health,
determined that states requiring parental consent before a minor could have an abortion must allow
for Judicial bypass. States governments can restrict abortion access after the first trimester with laws
intended to protect the woman s health. Abortions after fetal viability must be available if the
woman s health or life are at risk, state governments can prohibit other

Evolution Lab Report
Evolution, a process which results in heritable changes in a population spread over many
generations, was the main focus of our lab last week. The main focus of this lab was to introduce
students to evolution and to get the students to apply what they learned. Before doing this lab, I
thought evolution was essentially change over time. After this lab, however, my definition of
evolutionimproved into a more accurate and concise definition, since I learned that evolution is a
theory. Stations 1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 in my opinion were the most important stations in the lab due to the
detail and variety of questions they possess. In station 1, I had to determine whether some vertebrae
skeletons were related to each other or not. I determined that even though all these skeletons do not

In station 5, I had to organize hominin skulls from oldest to youngest based on a chart that had a
timeline of the creature with that type of skull. The skulls, from oldest to youngest, were D, B
and A coexisting, E, and the modern human skull and C coexisting. I was able to sort these skulls
by judging the size of the skull s brain cavity and by noting the similarities between certain skulls
and the modern human skull. Since there was an overlap between some of the hominins, they
probably interbred and that caused a change in the lineage over time. In station 6, there were two
groups of brains with different colored bases; one with blue colored bases and one with red colored
bases. I had to state whether the brains with different bases were homologous, analogous, or neither.
The brains with the blue bases
Obstetric Care Benefits

any way to get around it, if you re out of shape; your life isn t being lived to its fullest potential.
Success and happiness are only truly available when your body is in good, healthy condition.
Taking care of your body and making sure you stay fit is the first step you can take to truly
becoming in charge of your life, and will come back to haunt you time and time again if you
ignore it. You may not feel that you are unhealthy but there are a few simple ways to test how
healthy you are. Simply ask yourself the following questions and see: 1) Have I eaten or plan on
eating the proper amount of fruits and vegetables today? 2) Have I exercised... Show more content on

Statistics, for example, show that maternal mortalities are almost twenty times higher in
developing countries where this type of care (midwives, and medical service) is not available. To
further support the benefits of obstetric care, the World Health Organization puts out an estimate
of 15% of women require serious medical intervention to prevent long term complications in their
futures. Furthermore, a religious community that declined professional care showed absolutely
no decline in maternal mortality when compared with that of 100 years ago. These facts
demonstrate the importance of the medical professionals available to us and the impact they have
had over time. In some ways, the author explains how medicalization of childbirth may have
come too far. For example, the enormous number of caesarean sections performed in Brazil and
Spain leave mothers with lifelong health concerns as a result of damage caused by the
instruments used during the procedures. This also takes away from the perspective of birth as a
normal physiological process (Johanson, 106), with which women are less informed about risks
involved and given fewer choices in terms of the medical professionals available to assist them.
Although they are often overshadowed by the ethical discussions about new reproductive
technologies, the health risks associated with the techniques are also an issue. The Assisted
Human Reproductive Act fails to recognize the severity of some of the issues and has been
criticized for its failure to avoid discrimination (Harris, 99). One problem is the opinion that certain
NRT s are too experimental (Unit 3, 57). Most of the drugs given to aid in the conception process
are new and not

Judaism Historical Background
Judaism

Historical background information

Judaism began about 4000 years ago with the Hebrew people in the Middle East. Abraham, a
Hebrew man, is considered the father of the Jewish faith because he supported the central idea of
the Jewish faith: that there is one God and one alone. At the time many people in the Middle East
worshipped several gods.
What do Jewish people believe?
Abraham s son, Isaac had a son, Jacob, also known as Israel. In this way the descendants of
Abraham came to be known as the Israelites. God promised the Israelites he would care for them as
long as they obeyed God s laws.
Jewish people believe in the Torah, which was the name of the laws given to the Israelites. They
believe they must follow these laws. The Ten ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Do not murder.
Do not commit adultery.
Do not steal.
Do not accuse anyone falsely. Do not tell lies about other people.
Do not envy other s possessions.
What are the sacred texts of the Jewish people?
The Tanakh is the ancient collection of writings that are sacred to the Jews. They were written over
almost a thousand years from 1000 to 100 BCE.
The Talmud is also an important collection of Jewish writings. Written about 2000 years ago, it is a
recording of the rabbis discussion of the way to follow the Torah at that time. Later texts, the
Mishnah Torah and the Shulhan Arukh, are recordings of rabbinic discussions from later periods.
Key leaders
In individual religious synagogues, the spiritual leader is generally the rabbi. According to Jewish
tradition, the key leaders in Judaism are not living people, but rather God and the holy founders of
the religion.
Jewish symbols
The Jewish religion has quite a few symbols. Here are just a few:
CANDLESTICKS The candle is a very important symbol for Jews. Fire is warm and inviting. The
Kabbalah (Jewish Mysticism) says that the flame is a symbol of God s relationship to the world and
to human
The Importance Of Identity In Society
Not everyone has equal opportunities, some exert more choice and some face constraints when it
comes to making and remaking their lives. Stephanie Taylor (2014. P.5) highlights that there are
different identities and belonging to one can give your more or less of an advantage. Gender
identity defines male, females, transsexuals etc. but there are certain job roles in society that are
either male or female dominant. For example, you expect an air hostess to be female, and so if
applying as a male, the decision to do this is constrained by society s perception or that person
and he may be subject to prejudices, or their own beliefs may act as a deterrent. A female applying
would meet the social norms. This is also a good example where agency (capacity of the individual
to act independently, exert free will) is constrained by structure (Patterned social arrangements that
affect agency). Further to this, depending on your race and ethnicity, your identity can have negative
values. To illustrate this, white identity in the UK is considered unmarked and therefore taken for
granted and considered the dominant identity. Marked refers to a collection of people or minority
group who might share the same racial or ethnical characteristics; recent migrants to the UK would
be an example of this, therefore hypothetically considered inferior (Stephanie Taylor 2014. P.10).
categorizing in this way gives the impression of a us and them approach and the imbalance is that

Once More To The Lake Essay
Once More to the Lake by E. B. White is about a man who decides to take his son on the family
vacation to the lake he took with his father when he was a child. During the essay, the author
reminisces on his trips to the lake during his youth and tells the reader about how things have
changed. The author uses wonderful detail and at some points in the essay feels as if he is a boy
again standing in his son s place with his father next to him. The author shows the readers he is a
man who enjoys time with his family and cherishes his memories at the lake by expressing how he
values the way things were in the past, and the joy that he experiences at this lake with his family.

B. White, serves its expressive purpose, using plenty of emotion, such as joy and happiness,
showing the author s value of the past, how he defines himself as a family man, and uses
subjective language. He also uses a literary purpose, to show that the essay is authentic with
verisimilitude, make the essay more entertaining with tension, provide artistic unity with a
beginning, middle, end, and a theme, and aesthetic language to add a certain beauty in the way
he writes. The primary pattern followed by the author is the descriptive pattern, describing the
lake as it was when he was a child and the way it was on his trip with his son. At times the author
uses a comparison contrast pattern, to show the differences and similarities between his
experiences as a child at the lake and as an adult, The author of this essay uses expressive and
literary purposes, and descriptive and comparison contrast patterns, to allow the reader to know
what he is feeling and thinking, while at the same time feel like they are there themselves with the
use of his descriptions of the lake. His use of the comparison contrast pattern allows the reader to
have a better understanding of the differences the author is experiencing during his visit to the lake
with his son. Altogether, it is a very well written
