II. Background and Rationale of WAP:
The Division-led seminar equipped Grade 8 teachers with updates and pedagogical strategies for implementing the revised K to 12 Curriculum in Values Education.
This aims to develop teachers to be more equipped with knowledge and strategies in need of the new curriculum. The only thing constant is change. Then, changes are
vital in the development of quality education. This implementation calls for retooling teachers to adapt their planning, instruction, and assessment practices. Having
completed the 3-day training, I intend to apply the insights, skills, and knowledge gained to enhance instructional practices, model learner-centered strategies, and
support peers in unpacking the curriculum to ensure alignment with the MELCs, curriculum standards, and responsive approaches that promote learners’ holistic values
formation.
