This will help to ensure how successful they will be and give them a market plan when it comes
to what type of products and services they will offer at each new location. Researching customers
in all the projected new locations will give them an idea of what they will have in each store
according to the areas shoppers like and dislike and how willing they are to try something new.
Though Kudler researched and found the most helpful, experienced and knowledgeable workers that
will provide all their customers with the very best shopping experience, they still need to market
research to compete with other upscale specialty foor stores. They have to market themselves
even more now because there is a demand for their stores. A company can not just have a couple
stores with demands from customers of more of what they supply. They have to expand the
company. Mor market research has to be performed to know where new Kudler stores can be
placed. The four locations they have now are not enough. The company needs to branch out and
show the world what they are missing. The finest foods, wines, and spirits are all products Kudler
have to offer to the world. They need to research upscale areas all over the world and set up trial
locations to do group tests. This will give them feedback if they like their products and services
they offer like the classes and wine steward assistance. They will be able to pinpoint the areas they
want to set up test stores and see if they
Office Politics And Its Effect On An Organization
Office Politics Organizations are faced with office politics on a daily basis. According to a study
of U.S. workers, it is estimated that 60 percent of workers believe office politics is necessary to
get ahead in the workplace (Conner, 2013). Therefore, understanding the strategies that people use
to gain advantage over another is the responsibility of a strong leader. The environment in which
politics are allowed can have both a positive and negative effect on an organization. While office
politics may be a workplace fact of life, containing or controlling it is possible with the right
direction from leadership(MindTools, 2015). The former CEO of Intel, Paul Otellini, knows the
importance of office politics and the climate in which it should be conducted. Otellini became the
CEO in 1974, only six years after the company was founded and served as CEO for 36 years. He
explains Intel s political cultural as egalitarian allowing all to be equal (Karlgaard, 2011). Otellini
leadership style in addressing politics is that anyone can and should speak up. However, he believes
data and results should be the driving focus, therefore, committing to the vision and goals of the
organization. Individuals should take risks and embrace innovation, but should conduct oneself with
discipline instead of self greed (Karlgaard, 2011). In terms of politics, Intel believes each person is
responsible for demonstrating integrity and professionalism and demands this from each of their
Exchange Between Henry And Bon
I thought that the exchange between Henry and Bon at the end of chapter 8 shows a big critique of
relations, not only between friends but also among people in the society that time. You are my
brother. No I m not. I m the nigger that s going to sleep with your sister. Unless you stop me (286)
This interaction is interesting because it shows the brotherly love, racial tension, and confliction
Henry is faced with. Henry loves Bon like his brother, but he wants Judith for himself so he does
not want Bon to sleep with her or be with her. At the same time, Henry justifies why it is acceptable
for him to marry Judith when he talks about the old Dukes and royal families that that would marry
in the familyand he also justifies why Bon should not
Alan Bennett s Talking Heads Essay
Alan Bennett s Talking Heads Talking heads by Alan Bennett is a collection of monologues in
which the audience are showed into the life of a character and given an insight into the character s
personality and [Link] lives are portrayed in comic ways leaving the audience feeling
sympathy and guilt for the character in laughing at their misfortune. Monologues are a long speech
made by one person. This style of script is really effective and has a powerful effect on the
audience. These monologues were written for television broadcasting, programmes presented in this
way are put under the genre of tragi comedy. This style of script has a dramatic effect upon the

The first female priminister Margaret Thatcher came to power which brought about a greater
female morale and a breakthrough in women s independencesomething which is clearly evident
in Doris script. Margaret Thatcher is perhaps an inspiring figure influencing the character to bring
about change within their own lives alike to the many changes Margaret brought about to
England. Irene is a character who in many ways tried bringing about changes I.e. through many
letters she writes in order to resolve problems that are not involving her. At the beginning of the
monologue Lady Of Letters Irene is portrayed as a character that is a rather concerned, law
abiding and sensitive middle aged citizen, qualities which are frequently associated with a woman
of her age. In telling us of her visit to the crematorium no unusual deductions would be made as a
lady of this age would undoubtedly encounter a few deaths of friends of a similar age. It also
seems justified that she should be annoyed at these irreverent smokers at such a sombre occasion.
However as we learn of her little acquaintance with the deceased, her character unfolds as rather
remote and lonely as well as someone who leads a rather uneventful life. I thought I d get out my
little maroon coat and put in an appearance. At least its an outing In saying this Irene emphasises her
alienation from any social activities also. This
Art Spiegelman Analysis
Throughout time, the world and its history has seen the ravages of a superiority complex based
upon a certain race or religion deeming themselves better than everyone else. No one war, race or
religion has ever come out on top nor has anyone been entirely unaffected by the oppression this
superiority complex has caused.
Maus is a graphic novel by American cartoonist Art Spiegelman. It shows Spiegelman conversing
with and recording what his father says about what he lived through being a Polish Jew and
Holocaust survivor. The graphic novel uses postmodern techniques in its representation of races of
humans as diverse animals: the Jews are characterized as mice, the German soldiers as cats, and the
non Jewish Poles are seen as pigs. Maus can ... Show more content on [Link] ...
Spiegelman s father was treated inhumanely because of his religion while Washington was treated
unfairly due to the color of his skin. Both men wrote about what happened and how they chose to
rise above their persecution and the injustice of how they are being treated instead of being
walked all over. Vladek says in the book, The fat from the burning bodies they scooped and poured
again so everyone could burn better. (Spiegelman, Book 2, pg. 62) This scene shows the Nazi
brutality towards the treatment of the Jewish race. The Nazis torture the Jews, treating them like
animals. They strip them of any semblance of their humanity, even in death. They burned the bodies
disrespectfully, and then took what was left to burn the others. Each account of these authors harsh
lives is about something that they cannot control being hated for: color of skin and religious choice.
Both authors use their past experiences to show how racism and religious persecution affect a
person long after the fact. While reading Maus, the reader moves through several different time
periods: the pre Holocaust, the actual Holocaust, and the post Holocaust. Maus interweaves the past
and present, the different subject histories of each character, and the very different cultural contexts
of a Nazi occupied Poland versus Rego Park, New York in the present where Art is

He won the coveted Menswear Designer of the Year award from the Council of Fashion Designers of
America, the most prestigious prize in American fashion. In 2004, Kors was asked to be a judge on
a new reality television show called Project

thought that only fashionista freaks, gays and men wanting to see Heidi Klum in a short dress
would watch it. He was wrong. The show premiered December 1, 2004, and became an immediate
hit with fans and critics. Kors quips and blunt criticisms were fan favorites. His penchant for bons

The Pros And Cons Of Television Shows
If you have ever watched TV, you might notice many commonalities and trends between many of
the TV shows that are on air. The shows usually follow similar storylines of a protagonist (usually
male) who struggles with their own moral values, usually stirring up trouble for themselves and
those around them. Now you re probably asking yourself: Hm I wonder why so many shows
follow similar patterns? Well the answer to that question is because of YOU! It s all your fault
that TV can be so monotonous and repetitive. You are a part of a giant collective that drives what
TV shows are being shown, what TV shows are being cancelled, and even when TV shows are
being played. You are a part of the audience. The audience is what drives TV shows to be the
entertaining platforms that they are meant to be, but they are also the most crippling aspect of the
televisionitself.
If I wanted to pitch a TV show to a TV network, the script would be immediately thrown in the trash.
This is because I am nowhere to be found in the hierarchy of the television network. The television
hierarchy makes it almost impossible for lesser known writers and producers to release their work
on popular networks. Also, newer shows do not get as much of a fighting chance as others because
these new shows must compete with other popular TV shows for the best time slots, therefore
getting less viewers, increasing the chance the network pulls the plug on new shows.
