Many people were involved in Auschwitz, both Nazis and Jews. Over 1.1 million people were

Although Auschwitz was big it was headed by one person, Sturmbannführer Karl Bischoff

The construction of Birkenau began in October 1941. The Nazi empire was growing rapidly in
the 1940 s, but the Nazis developed when they invaded the Soviet Union (Architecture of

prisoners. The Nazis realized that they had to kill the prisoners, and should send Jews as well. The
first gas experiments were taken in the fall of 1941 (Architecture of Murder). Since there was a vast
amount of prisoners, they decided to put them to work. At least 1.3 million people, Jews and
prisoners, were deported to Auschwitz between 1940 to 1945 (Auschwitz
Child Pageants Analysis
Dazzling dresses, sparkling jewelry, and perfect makeup sounds like every girl s dream, right?
Sadly, these are just a few of the things that are used to lure children into the clutches of the
detrimental world of pageants. Child pageants may seem to be fun and games, just look pretty to
win a prize, but the damages it can do to a young girlbrings new light to the subject. Parents are
submitting their kids to be judged by fully grown adults, based solely on their child s incredibly
altered appearances. These parades of artificial beauty can lead to both low self esteem, an inflated
self image and irregular growth in the developing children involved.

One of the first concerns about this topic are the things it is teaching children, and ... Show more

If these little girls succeed in their pursuit of the pot of gold at the end of their bedazzled rainbow,
if not handled correctly, these girls can turn into selfish narcissists. Most americans are familiar
with the show, Toddlers and Tiaras that portrays some insight into the world of child pageantry.
Young girls and their parents are filmed throughout their journey of preparing, participating, and
either partying, or pouting once the results are revealed. In Glitter and Glamour: Inside children
beauty pageants, Jackie Salzano addresses this particular show, and how it portrays child pageants.
She says that the children are seen being rude to their parents, be extremely physically altered, and
the parents doing whatever it takes for their child to win. In this cutthroat world of stages and
lights, both the child, and their parents can turn into pageant zillas . Also, these competitions are
teaching girls that the extremely fake make overs that they undergo, is what they are expected to
look like in order to be beautiful. Nobody naturally looks like that in the real world, so why are
people teaching these kids that they should look like this not only to win the competition, but to be
seen as beautiful in everyday
Communication Gap Between Generation Y And The Baby Boomer...
This paper reviews an article written by Elza Venter from the Department of Psychology of
Education at the University of South Africa. The article is titled Bridging the communication gap
between Generation Y and the Baby Boomer generation.
The article examines the generational communication gap between generation Y and the Baby
Boomer generation with the intention to suggest ways to bridge the gap. Venter (2016) argues that
meaningful communication between the two generations is important because they have connected
channels of communication and the two can give meaning to each other s lives. For instance, Baby
Boomer are the parents, employers, lecturers and teachers of Generation Y (Venter, 2016: 2).
However, the two generations do not always maintain good channels of communication. According
to Venter (2016) the baby boomer generation and Generation Y often times find themselves engaged
in conflict as a result generational differences.
In order to understand the communication gap between the two generations, Venter (2016) studied
interpersonal communication style of the each generation. The author found that Generation Y and
the Baby Boomer generation value different communication styles and that creates a communication
gap between the two generations.
According to Venter (2016) the main differences in the two generations communications styles can
be summarised as follows:
Members of Generation Y are called digital natives because this generation grew up using

Abstract

This paper reviews Lifetime Inventory survey results. It is definitely the self discovery

tool that has revealed my primary and secondary thinking styles as well as my limiting

style that has a negative impact on my management style. It also gave me a feed back of

my management styles. It provides me with idea of how my personal thinking was

formed and what influence my family or culture or school ... Show more content on [Link]

And

all of the styles mentioned above are the key components to successfully follow the four

functions of the management that are planning, organizing, leading and controlling.

As defined in text book an effective manager helps others achieve high

levels of both performance and satisfaction (Schermerhorn, Hunt, Osborn, Uhl Bien, 11th

edition, 2010) and thus my survey results perfectly shows my ability of being one.

Part III : Genesis of personal life style

Family and culture had a great influence on my personal life style like on

every person I would think. I grew up with the idea that adult knows everything and is

always right ,which turned out totally wrong. Now I realize that it was misunderstanding

of respecting the adults.

I was raised by the parents who had adopted high authoritarian style and

I was always expected to obey rules without questioning them. I think that it had a

negative impact on my self confidence but made me very responsible in every aspect of
life and work. I could not say no to others and had to do what I was expected to. But at

the same time I have to mention that individual invents and life time experiences showed

me the
The Cowardly Lion
In a small, gray, solemn prairie in Kansas; Dorothy with her dog Toto live in a tiny shack with her
Aunt Em and Uncle Henry. Being in the tornado alley a cyclone is to be expected occasionally.
Seeing an oncoming tornado Dorothy takes shelter in the small shack. To her surprise she feels
the shack lifting off of the ground. As the hours pass Dorothy and Toto try to remain calm and fall
asleep. Upon awakening she noticed the cyclone set her tiny shack down in one piece. Dorothy
also notices that she is in an obviously different place. She walks out in a colorful, magical,
beautiful place. Dorothy was met by a few small men who called themselves munchkins. They
were rejoicing upon Dorothy, because she killed the Wicked Witch of the East. Dorothy was
extremely confused upon this, because she certainly did not remember killing anyone. She turns to
the shack and she sees a pair of legs and silver, sparkling heels sticking out of her shack. All
throughout the story Dorothy just wanted to go home. Dorothy explains she wants to go back home
to Kansas to the munchkins who point her onto the yellow brick road that leads to Oz. The
munchkins explained to her that the Wizard... Show more content on [Link] ...

The Pros And Cons Of British Imperialism
No one can ever deny the fact that the British Empire contributed to most of the world history.
The British imperialism has impacted various aspects of the world, even until today; however,
there is a constant debate on whether it yielded more of positives or negatives. For instance, Niall
Ferguson in his book Empire: The Rise and Demise of the British World Order and the Lessons for
Global Power argues for the positive values of the British imperialism. On the other hand, Fanon in
Concerning Violence and Orwell in Shooting an Elephant offer a negative view on imperialism and
colonialism. In the paper, the argument based on the comparison of the claims made in these three
articles, states that the argument made by Ferguson is exaggerating... Show more content on

The main argument of Fanon is that decolonization can successfully take place only through
violence. The colonial world is divided into two habitats of two different species: the settlers and
the colonized people. The settlers enjoy the privileges over the natives or the colonized people in
strongly built and hygiene, organized zone, surrounded with the masses of food and goods. While,
the natives stay in the town of ill fame, with the limited amount of resources. The natives, feeling
envy and desire of possessions, think about overthrowing the settlers (Fanon, 1965, p.38 39). The
inequality and conflict between the settlers and the natives are the result of the imperial rule more
broadly, the consequence of the imperialism. Exploitation of the natives by the colonizers is a
common norm of imperialism; yet, Ferguson tries to defend such negative consequence by
presenting the benefits conferred by British law and administration and being non venal that its sins
are generally sins of omission, not commission (Ferguson, 2002,
The Integration Of Indian People
In the words of Jawaharlal Nehru, the Indian people to be united by shedding their prejudices of
narrow mindedness communalism, regionalism and provincialism. This is the synthesis of the
integration of the Indian people. National Integration aims at removing frictions and wielding these
two communities into one nation. It also aims at bringing other diverse elements of population viz .
Christians , Sikhs , Jains and Parsees and other weaker section of our society into the main stream of
national life. Indiahas a long tradition of tolerance and mutual respect for each other s faith from
time immemorial. So, the communalism took its birth in India, with the advent of the British rule
who patronized propagated and propounded it among the Muslims. Bipin Chandra writes, to check
the growth of united national feeling in the country, they decided to follow more actively a policy of
divide and rule and to divide people along religious lines. In other words, to encourage communal and
separatist tendencies in Indian politics for this purpose, they decided to come out as champions of
Muslims and to win over to their side Muslim zamindars, landlords, and the newly educated. The
separate electorates were thus the blessing of the British rule, so was the Aligarh Muslim University
made for the upliftment and advancement of the Muslims exclusively. Both became instrumental to
cause the communal divide and ultimately the division of the country into two separate
The Flash And Odysseus Research Paper
The two heroes known as The Flash and Odysseus are both similar and different in many ways.
The Flash is a superhero by DC comics who has a hyper fast metabolism which gives him increased
speed and makes him heal faster, using the help of the speed force he fights to protect central city
from crooks, thieves, villains, and at times other speedsters who share his abilities. Odysseuson the
other hand is a Hero who stars in and Epic by homer known as the odyssey, It follows his adventure
to troy with him facing many challenges on the way and harder ones on the way home, he has
fought cyclops, sirens, and temptation. Odysseus was led by the help of Athena and towards the end
by Zeus himself. Now that the two heroes have been explained lets explain how they re different....

The Backstories are different as well, in the Odyssey, Odysseus just heads out for troy since he
wanted to see it, while in The Flash his backstory involves his parents dying which fuels him to
keep central city safe and in check. Another difference is a pretty obvious one but, Odysseus
obviously doesn t have speed or the ability to manipulate the speed force, Same as how Barry Allen
(The Flash) cant call upon Zeus or Athena or any other Greek God for help on his
Trends Of Optical Communication
Industry Trends
Large, monolithic satellites are slowly being overtaken by Distributed Space Systems (DSS)
comprised of a network or networks of multiple inexpensive, small, smart satellites. Thus,
necessitating the need for intersatellite communications. This trend is primarily prompted by cost
and the commercialization of space. An ancillary by product of this trend is the push towards the
use of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Plus (aka.: upscreened) parts. Foregoing space rated parts
has been made possible as a result of the standardization and accreditation of the terrestrial fiber
optics industry.

It is possible this project could provide reference cost information for future CubeSat laser, optic
communications projects, even though this project is not using laser technology for intersatellite
communications but rather for space to ground communications. There may be analogous COTS
parts that would be appropriate for multiple uses.
