Lipoma
Abstract:

Lipomas represent about 1 to 4% of all neoplasms of the oral cavity. They mostly present as slow
growing, asymptomatic lesions with a characteristic yellowish colour soft and doughy feel. 0ral
lipomas affect predominantly the buccal mucosa, floor of mouth, tongue and lips. Although
relatively common, intraoral lipomas and its variants are seen in the literature. In the present case,
lesion was excised surgically with the intra oral approach and it did not showed any recurrence.

Introduction

The foremost description of oral lipomas was first reported by Roux in 1848 in a review of alveolar
masses. He referred lipoma as a yellow epulis.1 Lipomas are common benign soft tissue neoplasms

adipocytic differentiation.9

Surgical excision is the main stay of treatment, with a recurrence rate of 5%.Recurrence is reduced
by wide surgical excision with preservation of surrounding structures. Wide surgical excision of total
tumour tissues was the treatment for these

The Use Of Literary Devices In The Chrysanthemums By John...
If you were to read a story, would you pay attention to the beginning or ending? Is there any
relevance or significance to the beginning and the ending of a story? Personally if a story is thrilling
and exciting, it makes me contemplate about the author s reason to begin and end the story. In the
Chrysanthemum s by John Steinbeck, the story s beginning and ending significantly impacts the
story s development through the use of literary devices.

The introduction composed by Steinbeck is significant. I believe this because Steinbeck expresses
many important literary device such as setting, mood and foreshadowing. When Steinbeck talks about
Salinas Valley The high gray flannel fog of winter closed off the Salinas Valley from the sky and
from all the rest of the world. On every side it sat like a lid on the mountains and made of the
great valley a closed pot (pg 756), he creates a depressing and negative mood. This foreshadows
the story because it describes the setting and hints the time period of where the story is told, where
there was only a limited opportunities for women. Some words that Steinbeck uses deliberately is
when he says It was a time of quiet and of ... Show more content on [Link] ...
The story ends the way it does in order to show the dramatic irony of the story and to represent the
theme. In the ending Elisa feels depressed and starts to cry. This is one of the vivid examples of
irony found in the story, it is ironic because the tinker who uplifted Elisa ended up making her even
sadder than she was before. The tinker encouraged her so much, and boosted her confidence, without
thought, threw away her chrysanthemum seeds. This relates to the theme of gender inequality
because Elisa is seems to have many good traits such as being smart, energetic, attractive, and
ambitious, but all these good characteristic are ignored because she is a woman, which society
believes has no place in the
Good And The Social Sectors
Good to Great and the Social Sectors: A Monograph to Accompany Good to Great is the
companion piece of Good to Great. It uses the idea that leadership is foundational piece to build
greatness upon. Jim Collins and his team of researchers have authored six books books about
business leadership and what makes great companies successful. He lays out four stages of
discipline with each having its guiding principles as the framework of ideas for the book. Many
people who read Good to Greathave asked how to apply the key principles to social sector
organizations. So Collins authored the companion piece, Good to Great and the Social Sectors: A
Monograph to Accompany Good to Great. In it, he outlines the use of the culture of discipline in
social sectors and that it is not a principleof business; it is a principle of greatness. Because the
principles outlined in the original book are not directed to those with business acumen they can be
applied widely to all endeavors. Good to Great and the Social Sector shows the principles in Good to
Great do apply to the social sector and to answer questions about perceived difference between
business and social sectors.
In applying the principles of Good to Great, calibrating success shows up as a top question social
sector readers ask about when trying to apply the principles. Social sector organizations do not have
the same input and outputs for measurement that businesses have. Money is an input and not a
measure of greatness in the
Samuel Beckett Essay
Beckett s Absurd Characters
Beckett did not view and express the problem of Absurdity in any form of philosophical theory (he
never wrote any philosophical essays, as Camus or Sartre did), his expression is exclusively the
artistic language of theatre. In this chapter, I analyse the life situation of Beckett s characters finding
and pointing at the parallels between the philosophical background of the Absurdity and Beckett s
artistic view.
As I have already mentioned in the biography chapter, Beckett read various philosophical treatises;
he was mostly interested in Descartes, Schopenhauer, and Geulincx. These thinkers are the main
sources which influenced and formed Beckett s view of the world as well as his literary writings.

Reflection Of Victor Frankenstein
I watched the movie Victor Frankenstein, in this movie unlike others before it, they intended to
portray the life of the creator instead of the monster. I believe that they successfully made this
difference because they explain his life and show his years before the monster is even created. The
movie is more focused on Igorand his relationship with Victor Frankenstein. This film shows more
concern with the journey of the two men and how they come to be equals in not only the science
aspect but in the aspect of being humans. For Victor Frankenstein the journey is focused on
forgiveness and feeling guilty for his brothers death. Victor feels guilty for telling his brother to
follow him out in the snow and having his brother die while trying... Show more content on

I truly believe that this was a good movie. It pleased my asthetic and was a variety of different
genres within one movie. However I did not enjoy the gross gore and animal cruelty shown in
this movie. This movie was very strange in the way they planned out how things were going to
be brought up and how they left out key parts of the story but how they told the story that was
told was very good. This movie did not go over very well with society. The movie got very bad
reviews because, like me, people did not very much like the amount of gore and animal cruelty
shown in this movie. For example, in the movie it shows a half dead chimp with a rotting corpse
and flies coming out of it. That chimp must have been in so much pain and just the fact that they
brought to life that chimp and killed it over and over again made me cry. Not only that but Victor
Frankenstein also shoved a five inch needle into Igor s back and sucked out the contents of his
hump which made me gag. So needless to say it was not very openly enjoyed in the public
Women s Health Media Analysis
The media industry has such a strong voice and power when it comes to what us the people get to
see. When a certain type of media is released, whether it be advertisements, magazines,
commercials, etc.. the industry does have something to tell us and wants us to interpret that
message. Now depending on if the viewers actually decode what the industry is saying or not
saying is completely on them, it doesn t affect the industry because at the end of the day the media
can also be whatever you want it to be. The Women s Health is a great example of the construction
of manipulation by the media through the use of text and images. One can conclude that in order to
fully grasp and understand what the media is trying to say you must carefully read... Show more

Type and imagery play a very important role in captivating the viewers attention, as well as
altering how you interpret things. The Women s Health magazine uses this strategy to draw
viewers in by connecting health and being sexy. This particular magazine used sexually revealing
photographs as well as making the word sexy dominant enough to allow one to assume that the
magazine is trying to say that if you want to look and feel sexy like this model, then you must read
our information. Which is altering the women s minds to maybe purchase the magazine due to low
self esteem or other reasons, whether the viewer knows that s the message or not. Before
purchasing or falling victim to these articles, you must view and read the media more carefully to
get a better understanding of the message as a
