ASSESSOR’S SCRIPT

(PRELIMINARIES/ORIENTATION)

Preparation (5minutes)

 Preparing forms, tools, feedback and TESDA Rep area. (Once all done, inform the panelists)

 Ma’am and Sir, I have already prepared all the tools, equipment, and facilities. I am now ready to
conduct the competency assessment for EIM NC II.

Good Morning Everyone!

 I am Donel Gilles an Accredited Competency Assessor for Electrical Installation and Maintenance
NC II.

 I received an appointment dated July 10, 2025 from the TESDA Provincial Office in Surigao del Norte
to assess a total of 10 candidates for Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II.

 I have ensured that the assessment site adheres to occupational health and safety guidelines and that all
essential resources are available.

 I have also made sure that all tools, equipment, and facilities are complete, working properly, and safe
to use. I received 10 copies each of the application forms with self-assessment guides, CARS, rating
sheets, and specific instructions for candidates, as well as one copy each of the assessor’s guide and the
attendance sheet.

Good Morning, Candidates! (face the candidates)

 By the way, I am Donel Gilles an Accredited Competency Assessor for Electrical Installation and
Maintenance NC II.

 I would like to acknowledge the presence of _________________, our Processing Officer,


______________ our AC Manager and ________________, our TESDA Representative from TESDA
Provincial office.

 Candidates, you don’t need to worry about them being here. They’re just observing to make sure the
assessment is done following TESDA’s set methods and procedures.

 By the way, they will not assess you and I will be the one who are going to assess you.

 Before we begin, I’ll call your names one by one. When called, please come forward, bring your ID
and admission slip, and sign the attendance. (lantawon jud an face sa id and admission slip carefully

 Candidates, I have your completed Application Forms and Self-Assessment Guides. This means you
are aware of and able to perform all the required competencies for EIM NC II.

 I would like to welcome all of you to our Assessment center, Provincial Training Center- Surigao
del Norte for your assessment EIM NCII.

 The purpose of this assessment is to determine your level of competency.

 The Qualification for Electrical Installation and Maintenance NCII is composed of 3 competencies:
 BASIC COMPETENCIES
 COMMON COMPETENCIES
 CORE COMPETENCIES
The CORE COMPETENCIES composed of 3 units:

-Perform roughing-in activities, wiring and cabling works for single-phase distribution, power, lighting
and auxiliary systems
- Install electrical protective devices for distribution, power, lighting, auxiliary, lightning protection,
and grounding systems
- Install wiring devices of floor and wall mounted outlets, lighting fixtures/ switches, and auxiliary
outlets.

The different tasks to be performed in this assessment are the following:

 Interpret electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical drawing


 Identify use of materials, tools, and equipment
 Perform procedures for installation of electrical protective devices
 Determine materials specification

For today’s assessment, I am going to assess you.

In this process I will collect evidences in determining your knowledge and skills through the following
assessment methods: written test, demonstration, and oral questioning.

As an assessor, I evaluate performance based on standards, record results, give feedback, and ensure fairness
and integrity in the assessment process.

Are there any questions?

For your personal needs, the restroom is located at the front of the assessment center, and the canteen is on the
right side of this building.

There allowable or reasonable adjustments:

 If you find any instruction unclear, feel free to ask before we begin. I’m here to help and can translate
if needed.
 If you have difficulty writing your answers, you may respond verbally—this is an allowed
accommodation.
 Please inform me ahead of time if you need to take medication or have any special needs so proper
arrangements can be made.

During the assessment process, there are Do’s and Don’ts.

 For any concerns or clarifications, raise your hand before the assessment starts. Once the assessment is
ongoing, questions will no longer be entertained.
 If you encounter any physical discomfort or difficulty during the assessment, notify me immediately so
I can assist you.
 Leaving the assessment area while the assessment is in progress is not allowed.
 Fooling around and use of mobile phones are strictly prohibited in the assessment area. Understood?

Any questions? Clarifications?

If you have concerns or doubts about the assessment result, you have the right to file an appeal. You may submit
it to the TESDA Provincial Office.

You can get your National Certificate at the TESDA Provincial Office in Surigao del Norte within five working
days after your assessment, or it will be sent to your email as an e-certificate within 24 hours.

If you are found Not Yet Competent after the assessment, don’t worry. You can take the assessment again
anytime at any accredited center for EIM NC II.

Please be informed that assessment results are kept strictly confidential to protect your integrity as a candidate.
Only authorized personnel and the training institution where you undergo your actual training can access them.

All assessment documents are safely kept to ensure the fairness and integrity of the assessment process.

unclear, feel free to ask so we can explain it in your local language.

(WRITTEN TEST)

The first procedure of our Exam will be the Written Test.

The written test consists of 30 items. You need to get 50% correct, which is 15. You have 1 hour to finish. Read
the instructions carefully and write your answers only on the answer sheet, not on the questionnaire.

You will now proceed to the demonstration phase.

After the assessment, you can get your CARS at the assessment center. To claim your National Certificate, go to
the TESDA Provincial Office – Surigao del Norte after 5 working days. Bring your CARS, a passport-size
photo with a white background and collar, and ₱50 for the fee. You may also receive your e-certificate by email.

had serious issues like loose connections and incorrect termination. These are critical in this qualification. So,
the result of your assessment is Not Yet Competent. If you have concerns or doubts about the assessment
result, you have the right to file a appeal. You may submit it to the TESDA Provincial Office.

But don’t worry—you can take the assessment again anytime when you’re ready at any accredited assessment
center. Please sign the rating sheet and the Competency Assessment Result Summary.

I assessed a total of 10 candidates, 9 were found competent, and 1 was not yet competent. I may now sign the
