Notification
The 30th June, 2025
No. 11/32/2022-1FR/22588.— In exercise of the powers conferred under the proviso to article 309 of the
Constitution of India, the Governor of Haryana hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Haryana Civil
Services (Leave) Rules, 2016, namely:-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Haryana Civil Services (Leave) Amendment Rules, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Haryana Civil Services (Leave) Rules, 2016, (hereinafter called the said rules), in rule 9, in clause (a),
after sub-clause (4), the following sub-clause shall be inserted, namely:-
‘(4A) “Compensatory leave” means a leave admissible to regular Group C and Group D employee in lieu of
official duty performed on a notified holiday.’.
3. In the said rules, after rule 77, the following rule shall be inserted, namely:-
“77A. Compensatory Leave.- A Compensatory leave shall be granted to regular Group C and Group D
employee within one month of his official duty performed on a notified holiday(s) and same shall be lapsed,
if not availed within one month. It may be availed with connected holidays alongwith station leave, however,
the total spell not exceed sixteen (16) days in any case:
Provided that in case a compensatory leave applied within a period of one month and the same is
refused by the sanctioning authority, the same may be availed within next fifteen days (15) otherwise the
leave shall deemed to be lapsed:
Provided further that compensatory leave shall not be admissible in case any financial incentive has
been granted or is proposed to be granted for that day.”.
