Normally if you mixed the two metals it would decay. However, since it was in space the subzero

most used weapon in Conocimiento is The spaser. The spaser is a spear that can open up its head

Stop Animal Captivity
Why We Should Put an End to Animal Captivity

In May 2016, a critically endangered gorilla was shot dead by zoo officials after a young child
slipped into its enclosure. The incident created an uproar, with the public debating either the
mother s parenting skills or the justification of killing in an emergency situation. The public
outrage was of no avail, to an incarcerated animal who had no choice but to die at a place it never
belonged. It is now more crucial than ever to question the relevancy of keeping animals captive in
zoos and aquariums.
Historically, people have collected and kept various animals as status symbols. Many of these
prized collections were later transformed into public zoos during the 19th century. What began as a
private area for zoological study, the zoo eventually became a popular destination for a picnic and
entertainment. In those days, animals were confined to small cages, an alienating environment far
cry from the open wilderness. While there has been a considerable improvement since then, with the
implementation of naturalistic enclosures, the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But a study performed by the University of Arizona, found that 86 percent of the visitors went to
the zoo for social or recreational purposes, and only six percent went to a zoo in order to learn
more about animals. One can learn much better about a bear s life through a documentary than
having that same bear in a concrete prison. Many people liken zoos to a paradise for animals a
blissful place where animals are not compelled to struggle for food or run away from predators. If
that were the case, given the chance, animals wouldn t have escaped from their captivity in numerous
instances. Every aspect of their lives is manipulated and controlled, from what they can eat, to when
they can sleep. The convention of equating zoos with theme parks has maintained the status quo of

Introductory Personality Psychology Case Study
Undergraduate students enrolled in introductory personality psychology courses at The
Pennsylvania State University from the Altoona and University Park campuses will be recruited
for participation. All students enrolled in the courses will be required to complete the procedure
for this study to earn a grade in the course, however, they will be required to give their consent to
use their data in the present study in exchange for extra credit in the course. Those who do not
consent to use their data will be omitted from the study and will be offered an alternative course
assignment to earn the same amount of extra credit as those who opted to participate. Each
participant s age, race, and gender will be collected for use for comparison... Show more content on

The data will then be correlated and analyzed.
Procedure
Students will be taught to code individuals using the LPFS criteria by reading fictional sample
cases created by the course instructor. The instructors of the course are individuals who are
clinically trained psychologists and have worked with the LPFS before. Because there are two
campuses collecting data, the cases will be the same across all of the courses and coded by all of
the instructors teaching the course to ensure that there is agreement about the LPFS scores given.
Once the sample cases are decided upon, they will be distributed to the students. Before coding the
case, the students will be given a brief lecture on personality disorders and the implication of the
LPFS into assessing personality dysfunction. The students will then be instructed to code the case
and will be graded on completion of the assignment. Upon completing the assignment, the
instructor will go over the cases and give feedback regarding the codes. This will involve the
instructor giving the codes that they decided on with their colleagues for each dimension of the
LPFS. Once the review of the students codes for the fictional cases is complete, the students will be
instructed to code themselves using the LPFS criteria. Again, students will receive a grade for
completion of this step in the process. It
A Good Man Is Hard to Find by Flannery O´connor and the...
Flannery O Connor s short story A Good Man Is Hard to Find and a movie called No Country for
Old Men have striking similarities as far as their portrayal of fate working in the lives in humans.
They illustrate how the present and the future is left up to chance and is directly correlated with past
actions. Both the short storyand the movie portray the inevitability of fate to naturally dictate the
outcome of people s lives. Fate is one of the dominant themes in No Country for Old Men. Anton
Chigurh, the ruthless killer in the story, would sometimes haphazardly kill people. At other times,
he would propose that a potential victim call a coin toss which would ultimately decide whether
they live or die. When Chigurh would murder people without a coin toss, they were often in the
wrong place at the wrong time. However, it wasn t completely up to chance, but fate. It s the idea
that every action and every decision a person makes will inevitably dictate their future. Chigurh didn
t feel accountable for anyone s deathbecause perhaps all of his victims decisions in life led up to
their moment of death and that things were just meant to be that way. For example, he killed a
man on the side of the road so that he could take his car. Chigurh also killed all three of the men
who happened to be in the motel room he thought Llewellyn Moss would be in. It is by fate that the
man was on the same road as Chigurh at the same time. It is also by fate that those three men got the

Analyzing The Film Gladiator
My film I watched was Gladiator. It was an action movie as opposed to a documentary about war. It
was based in Rome in the early times.
In the movie, the emperor of Rome was Marcus Aurelius. He was a very victorious general. After
his death he wanted Maximus to take the throne, and he wasn t even his son. Aurelius s son was
very power hungry and wanted to rule. His plan was to rule Rome and take the throne. He wanted
to murder the last ruler Marcus Aurelius and then execute Maximus, which was the new emperor
after so then he would be next in line. Maximus then escaped the execution but was then sold into
slavery. From there he was forced into being a gladiator. He was trained by Proximo. Later they were
sent off to Rome to perform a lot of
Little Brother Privacy Analysis
Privacy is the state of being free from unwanted or undue intrusion or disturbance in one s private
life or affairs, also known as the freedom to be left alone (dictionary.com). The right of privacy is
the right of a person to lead their life in a manner that is somewhat protected from public scrutiny.
Privacyis a fundamental building block most governments try to uphold when it pertains to citizens.
A personhas the right to determine what information is taken about them and how that information
will be used. In the novel Little Brother, by Cory Doctorow, the right of privacy is a topic the main
protagonist, Marcus, struggles with extensively due to the expert technology and surveillance
available. Marcus is a seventeen year old boy who figures... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cameras, laptops, and any other technology sold in stores today are easily trackable and easily
surveilled. Cameras have started to be incorporated into the daily lives of citizens and businesses,
but, most importantly, in schools. For both the novel and in reality, school cameras have become a
necessity to be able to control students. In Little Brother, motion activated cameras and recognition
software are installed throughout Cesar Chavez High. These are the means the school uses to
control the students and keep them inside. For the Chavez, it is much more cost effective and
much more accurate just like schools in today s society. In the UK, around 2,000 schools put up a
total of 47 cameras, both indoor and outdoor. The schools justify the cameras by using the student s
safety as an excuse. Although a school is safer with cameras, the controversy is about whether or
not the schools are trying to keep others out or survey the children inside. Aiding in the battle
against cameras, many skeptics also bring up the topic of laptops. In Little Brother and reality,
school provided laptops are common, but there is a catch. School administration does have full
access to all laptops. Administrations are able to see searches performed online and any documents
that are created. The two main differences between the novel and reality is just how much access the
The Importance Of Crime In Miami
Miami, vice city, holds a million of people, events, and cultures. Sad is the part, in the southeastern
of Florida, quite a few number of people incorporated in Mafia are manipulating the lives of the
rest. Though in such a Metropolitan city, crimes are expected to find by, yet the city council must
ensure the safety of public, its properties, and a well established justice system. In the city of Miami
may also be used sarcastically for that its residents are too scared with crimes to enjoy a peaceful
sleep. Near Miami Beach, a gangof 13 criminals haunted the streets of Miami. An old woman
named as Lindsey, lived nearby the residential area of Ocean Drive Miami Beach residing in a
very luxurious condo with an amazing view that faces the waters of Miami shores. She was too
old and her 21 years old granddaughter used to assist her for the execution of outdoor tasks, as
she was an elder who could barely walk without assistance. Lindsey was capable enough to
provide for the household. Her late husband who was deceased after a long suffering illness has
left her a lot of property and bank balance. She could not use much of it and her granddaughter used
to live a very limited, dull, and fun less life. Katy the granddaughter has never asked for demands

Piperine In Osteoarthritis Chondrocyte
What is Piperine?

Turns out arthritis busting piperine has been lurking right under our noses all along! Quietly sitting
alongside us at the dinner table, in the form of black pepper, this nutrient boosting powerhouse is an
awesome table companion and should be added to every meal. Especially when eating dished
containing curcumin.

Why is piperine so powerful

Piperine is a white crystalline alkaloid and the chief active constituent of black pepper. This
enigmatic compound, first discovered in 1819, is responsible for black peppers pungent odour and
distinctive taste.

The power doesn t with a flavorsome kick, oh no! Recently, scientist discovered that piperine can

The study titled, Piperine inhibits IL β induced expression of inflammatory mediators in human
osteoarthritis chondrocyte ,was the first to show the anti inflammatory activity of piperine in OA
chondrocytes.

The 2013 study found that piperine inhibited the production of PGE2 and NO induced by IL 1β.
Piperine significantly decreased the IL 1β stimulated gene expression and production of MMP 3,
MMP 13, iNOS and COX 2 in human OA chondrocytes .

The study went on to claim that Piperine inhibited the IL 1β mediated activation of NF κB by
suppressing the degradation of its inhibitory protein IκBα.
Effectively abrogating the IL 1β induced over expression of inflammatory mediators.

What does all that mean? Put simply it means that piperine has been shown to stop many of the
inflammatory pre cursors to inflammation in OA chodrocytes and the processes that contribute to
the inflammatory cascade.

Historical uses

The ancients knew black pepper as a powerful natural medicine. it is even written that Mohammed
was quoted as saying black pepper could cure all illnesses except for
Is College Education Worth It Essay
Is college education worth it?

Do we really need to go to college to succeed in life? Is the student loan debt worth it? Some
people would say college education is worth the expense of tuition, but others would say college
education is not worth the expense of tuition. Some people think we need to go to college to be
successful in life. But I disagree. I don t think we need to go to college to be successful in life, and
this is why. Although we can get scholarships is the student loan debt worth it? When we go to
college, we go there to learn, to expand our horizons and find out what we need to do in life. But
when we graduate and it s all said and done with, we have student loan debts to pay off. The
average student loan debt is 27,000. If we work hard enough and keep our grades up then we can
get scholarships or you can pay cash. If you do this then you won t have any student loan debts.
But yes it does pay off in many different ways. The college graduate makes twice as much as
someone who graduates from high school. You are making around 1,300$ a weak vs 652$ ... Show

There are so many other jobs out there that pay good where you don t need a college degree. If you
want to be a nurse or doctor than yes you need to go to college. But you have to know what you
are going into college for before you just go in there without knowledge of what you want to do.
So there are ways to be successful in life without having to go to college and pay all this money for
books, food, living ect.... And then when you get out all these debts you have to pay off. If you
pay cash up front or get a scholarship then you don t have student loan debts to pay off. And there
are so many doctors out there that have been in the field for say, 20 years now that still don t have
the money to pay off their debts. I think that it is good to have a college education, but you need to
know what you re doing before you go into
My Junior Year Of High School
My junior year of high school, I rocked a strapless empire waist dress. Since then every dress I
buy is a strapless empire waist dress and I plan on keeping it that way. I want my wedding dress to
be crème with lots of lace and a vintage type feel as well as floor length with a short train. I also
plan on being barefoot, because the odds of my husband being that much taller than me that I
need to wear heels is slim to none. Plus, I have never actually worn heels in my life and I do not
plan on starting anytime soon. As for my soon to be husband, he will be wearing a nice suit or a
tux, I honestly can t tell the difference, so it does not really matter to me which one he chooses. I
want the suite to be dark brown to match our color scheme... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The time I want my marriage to take place sunflowers will be almost out of season which will
hopefully drive the price down. I also want some type of maroon colored flowers to go with our
color scheme. I also like the idea of having pinecones or ivy tied into the bouquets, I m an outdoorsy
person and would like to have that showing throughout the wedding. As for the men I think a maroon
and orange type lily would look good in there pockets. My bridesmaids will have bouquet s that look
close to mine, but not as big. I do not want to be over looked after all.
As for attendant gifts, I plan on giving the bridesmaids and the groomsmen some sort of little gift.
For the groomsmen probably a nice shaving kit with there initials on it or something, so they do
not look scruffy and homeless during the wedding. As for the bridesmaids I m not one of those
people who would write on cute little mugs will you hold my dress while pee? or whatever. That
s not really my taste. I will probably give them nail polish to match the wedding colors or take
them for a manicure so they all have nice manicured hands with the right colors for the wedding.
Most of my friends are always outside and their hands look like crap which I don t necessarily
want for the wedding. For everyone who attends the wedding I plan on just having decorative cake
boxes that people can take filled with wedding cake. That way it will be
