Sop Statement Of Purpose For Engineering
Statement of Purpose

One man s magic is another man s engineering , these words by Robert A. Heinlein have always
fascinated me and makes me feel proud to be an engineer. Engineering is a field that improves the
quality of life of people by creating ways to live better, think better and make the society more
productive. Thus it has touched people s lives since centuries.
My desire to be an integral part of this process of betterment motivated me to choose engineering as
my career. A natural aptitude for mathematics, good analytical ability, tenacity and high academic
credentials helped me secure admission for undergraduate studies at Sreenivasa Institute of
Technology and Management Studies affiliated to JNTU University, one of the most prestigious
universities in India. My diligent efforts led me to realize my dream of being an Electronics and
Communication Engineer.
During my undergraduate studies, I was exposed to a spectrum of subjects in Electronics and
Programming, such as Microprocessors, Computer Networks, Computer Organization, C, Data
Structures, JAVA and Digital Signal Processing etc.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The American Dream Failure
What is truly the American Dream that people have been trying to achieve all these years? Is it
that Dream of making it big in America, where people hear the successes stories from rags to riches
or does it go beyond things like money, expensive cars and houses. The American dream itself has
no set definition to its meaning, people can only assign what they think is the right term for it. For
this paper and research on the American DreamThe definition that I came up with is that the
achievement of the American Dream does not come from possessions but more so from each person
personal achievement of happiness while not interfering with others achievement of happiness.
While this definition of the American dream is broad it is already not achievable.
The Work And Decision Making Relationships Amongst The...
Since 1950 s, contemporary dance practitioners, both modern and post modern choreographic
artists/dancers, have worked with a group of dancers as a small community or social group to
create group works. This essay will discuss and reflect on the precise nature of the working and
decision making relationships amongst the choreographer and the dancers; what the group dances
looked like, or how the choreographies composed the group on stage; nature of the studio and
rehearsal processes and processes of transmission of corporeal values; and lastly, how the group
worked together in terms of pay and conditions and how and where they rehearsed and performed.
Using, internationally recognised choreographers Merce Cunningham and Twyla Tharp, I will
discuss these questions on the processes of group dances by how these choreographers worked and
developed a group of dancers.

The precise nature of the working and decision making relationships amongst the choreographer and
the dancers;
Merce Cunningham: dancer, choreographer, teacher and director of his own company (Brown,
1975, p19) has created, produced, and directed dozens of choreographic dance pieces since the ninety
forties, working with hundreds of dancers. By example and accomplishment (Cunningham) has done
more to generate and influence the contemporary arts than any other choreographer, (Klosty, 1975,
p11). He choreographs works of a larger scope than a solo. Brown styles Cunningham as a awkward
and a private man, but he
The Role Of Resilience In Adolescents
Children and adolescents are resilient. According to McWhirter, McWhirter, McWhirter, and
McWhirter (2013), resilience is the capacity to adapt and function successfully despite
experiencing chronic stress and adversity (p. 130). Resilience is also the ability to come back from
a negative situation and turn the adversity into something positive (Prince Embury, 2015). When
adolescents are placed in a stressful or difficult situation, they strive to make the best of it; however,
there are some adolescents who struggle to make the best of the situation they are in, which leads to
risky behavior. Family factors tend to influence resiliency as well as protective and riskfactors.
Family factors that influence resiliency in adolescents is parental... Show more content on

At risk youth are still capable of getting involved with school and community activities. Some
adolescents become involved with art, music, and drama so they can express themselves
artistically. Others get involved with sports because of the family like atmosphere and team
building exercises. Others become involved with local mentoring organizations like Big Brothers,
Big Sisters and church youth groups. All of these activities serve as protective factors for at risk
youth, and help adolescents develop resiliency. According to McWhirter et al (2013), the social
support networks of the larger community also help to ameliorate the effects of stress on children (p.
131). Adolescents rely on their peers, youth leaders, coaches, and teachers to help them develop
resilience. One of the risks of depending on peers to help develop resilience is peer group pressure
can be either a very powerful ally or a formidable antagonist, dissuading or encouraging problem
behavior (McWhirter et al, 2013, p. 116). As a result, it is imperative for adolescents to choose their
friends wisely, especially if they come from a difficult home background. School and community
environments help adolescents develop the skills they need to overcome their difficulties
(McWhirter et al, 2013, p. 146). Schools and communities also help adolescents develop resiliency
because they provide the support they need to
What Does Gregory Maguire s Wicked Mean
The book Wicked written by Gregory Maguire is much like the classic story The Wizard of Oz.
Instead of seeing the story through Dorothy s perspective, it is seen through Elphaba the Wicked
Witch of the West s eyes. When reading a narrative, it is important to understand many of the
symbols to get a better understanding of the characters and theme. Wickedfollows Elphaba s life
while she undergoes prejudices of others along with dilemmas with being different. As Maguire
builds the storyline he utilizes symbols to convey a more in depth perspective of the novel. To
begin, the first symbol that could represent Elphaba and her fear is water. Water is used in the book
because in its own way is perfect. Elphaba is very guarded to it because if she
Parity And Disparity Analysis
This paper will discuss the parity and disparity between the payment levels at the Ambulatory
Surgery Center (ASC) and Hospital based surgery center (HOPD). It will examine how payment is
structured between a Medicare program and a private practice program. The terms parity and
disparity mean the cost of procedures in the ASC and HOPD. The disparity between the two
payment structures will be discussed first.
The disparity is a result of how payments are calculated. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid
studies uses the hospital market based system for HOPD. This is a lot more costly than the ASC
payment method which is linked to the consumer price index. The disparity is important because
health cost need to be controlled because money is
Why The Kkk Was A Bad Organization
Reasons why Reconstruction Sucked. There are many reasons why the KKK was a bad
organization. The KKK to be summed down is basically the white people didn t like African
Americans so they did everything in their power and will to get rid of the black population. In my
opinion, I think it was a messed up period of time. Reconstruction is the period between 1865 1877
after the Civil War during the states of the confederacy, the confederacy was controlled by the
federal government and the social legislation and it included the granting of new rights of the
African Americans was introduced. To basically summarize the last sentence, they wanted no more
blacks. Why is the KKK so bad they ask? They did everything in their power and will to get... Show

Although Congress passed legislation to avoid the KKK. Their goal to fix white supremacy grew
from democracy victories. This happened in the South during the 1870s. After an unsuccessful time
in the KKK they soon got revived. This happened in the early 20th century. The burning of crosses
and rallies got serious to the point of major breakouts. There were also many parades and marches.
The marches and parades were to bash immigrants. During the civil rights movement in the 1960s,
the KKK would bomb black schools. They also would bomb churches. Many confederate veterans
were included in the KKK. A group in Pulaski, Tennessee the first two words of the group started
with the greek word, kyklos. The meaning of that word is circle. There were carpet baggers that
wanted to feed on the misery and the depression on the south. In the south they had no money.
They shut down the railroads in GA, LA, MI, and AL. There was no money for them to run the
railroads. They couldn t run locomotives because they didn t have anything to haul. It didn t matter
anyway because it was destroyed. The people in the north found that they could make a dollar
because of the misery of the south. Most of the trade ships that they had were destroyed by union
blockades. The reconstruction took the south a very long time to come back. The renewal of the
economy bounced back faster than the rural state did. The port cities was a quicker comeback to the

Tom Wingfield Synopsis
Plot synopsis: This play is a memory play introduced by the main character and narrator, Tom
Wingfield, based on his recollection of his mother, Amanda, and sister, Laura. After their father
leaves them their family is stuck living in the past. Tom works at a warehouse trying his best to
support his sister and mother. Tom often finds himself bored and uses cinema movies and drinking
to escape his everyday life. Amanda, Tom s mother, is obsessed with finding a gentleman caller for
Tom s sister, Laura, who spends most of her time with her glass collection. After Tom brings Jim, a
gentleman caller who turns out to be engaged, home Laura learns a valuable life lesson.

Analysis: During my research I found out there were many similarities the author used in the play
which coincided with his own life. For example both the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Throughout this play I began to realize how much of an effect Tennessee Williams life was affected
by his father s absence and his parents failing marriage.
The author s writing style was very simple yet meaningful at the same time. My overall favorite
quote that stuck out to me throughout the whole book was in scene two on page sixteen when
Amanda tells Laura So what are we going to do the rest of our lives?.... Amuse ourselves with the
glass menagerie, darling? (Williams 1999 p.16). I believe this quote is very meaningful because it
expresses the way people are in life. Many people wait for opportunities while others create their
own opportunities for success and this is very important when it comes down to work, schooling and
even relationships.
I really enjoyed this play because there was so much significance within the characters lives and the
author s life. I learned many interesting facts about the character which managed to capture my
attention throughout my research and while reading the

The Hollow Men, And Rime Of The Ancient Mariner
Conrad s novel Heart of Darkness, Coppola s film Apocalypse Now, Eliot s poem The Hollow
Men, and Coleridge s Rime of the Ancient Mariner all show a hollow or dark spot somewhere
within every human heart. Heart of Darkness follows Marlow as he enters Africa in search of a man
named Kurtz who had recently stopped shipping ivory to The Company. Apocalypse Now, a Vietnam
war based rendition of Heart of Darkness, follows Captain Willard on his way to assassinate Kurtz,
a man who had turned on the US army with questionable methods. Rime of the Ancient Mariner
tells the reader of a sin committed by the Mariner, and his prayer for renewal. The Hollow Men,
on the other hand, depicts three stages of life for all humankind rather than following specific
characters. The Hollow Men shows that human experiences can affect one s outlook on life and
society, twisting it into something significantly darker than how it began. This idea can explain the
outcome of the characters within Heart of Darkness, Apocalypse Now, and Rime of the Ancient
Mariner. In both Coppola s film Apocalypse Now and Conrad s novel Heart of Darkness, Kurtz has
experienced much different things than the Marlow character had prior to the two meeting. In both
stories, Kurtz had strayed from a path set out for them by a bigger entity. In Apocalypse Now, Kurtz
strayed away from what the United States armybelieved to be sensible action, whereas in Heart of
Darkness Kurtz stops sending ivory to The Company. Both Kurtz
Disorder of Donnie Darko, choose a movie with a main...
Donnie Darko is an almost confusing film about time travel, schizophrenia and the manipulation
of one s fate. The film focuses on a teenage schoolboy named Donnie Darko. Donnie is not
mentally healthy but he is very intelligent and has extremely high Iowa test scores. He also has a
tendency to hallucinate and do destructive things when sleepwalking, such as flooding his school
and burning down a house, due to this he is on strong medication and sees a therapist on a regular
basis. After a near death experience, Donnie starts seeing an imaginary friend known as Frank.
Frank is a seven foot tall, demonic looking rabbit, who tells him about how the world is going to

Donnie Darko s behavior is very abnormal, he is not like anybody else in his environment. This can
mostly be attributed to being a paranoid schizophrenic. Paranoid schizophrenia is one of the most
damaging of all mental disorders. It causes it s victims to lose touch with reality as Donnie does
with his ideas of time travel. They often begin to hear, see, or feel things that aren t really there, or
hallucinations which Donnie often experiences. They also become convinced of things that
How Did Budweiser Change The Economy
One of the most iconic American brands is Budweiser, from the parenting company Anheuser Busch
InBev SA/NV (AB InBev. Budweiser started its journey in 1857 when Adolphus Anheuser migrated
to the United States from Germany. Anheuser finally settled in St. Louis, Missouri where he
established his own brewing supply house. While in St. Louis he met his future wife, Lilly Busch,
the daughter of Eberhard Busch who became partners with Adolphus creating the Anheuser Busch
Company.

In the 1870 s, during one of Busch s many trips to Europe to study the latest brewing techniques, he

official sponsor of the Kentucky Derby. Budweiser however is the official sponsor of MLB and
the NBA; it also sponsors a car in NASCAR, over 95 teams over the four major sports leagues, and
dozens of running and cycling events. In nearly every professional arena across the United States you

A Very Breif Biography of Karl Marx
Karl Marx was born in Trier in Prussia in 1818, and he passed away in London in 1883. The
overall approach characterized in Marx s theoretical writings and his analysis of capitalism can be
defined as historical materialism, or the materialist perception of history. Actually, that view may
well be deemed the foundation of Marxism. Marx contested that the superstructure of society was
predicated precisely by the productive roots of society, so that the main system must always be seen
in relation to the roots. The roots are made up by the means of production, in which influences of
production (land, raw materials, capital, and labor) are combined, and in which relations among
individuals come forth, determined by their relationship to the means of production. As Marx said in
the preface to A Contribution to the Critique of Political Economy in 1859, The sum total of these
relations of production constitutes the economic structure of society, the real foundation, on which
rises a legal and political superstructure and to which correspond definite forms of social
consciousness. The mode of production of material life conditions the social, political, and
intellectual life process in general. Marx viewed this main system to consist of the family, the
culture, the state, philosophy, and religion.
In Marx s opinion, all the aspects of the main system benefitted the interests of the strongest class in
a society. He saw the class separation in any society beyond a primitive level
A Good Plan Violently Executed Now Is Better Than A...
A good plan violently executed now is better than a perfect plan executed next week. What is it
about this quote from General George S. Patton that some leaders are able to grasp and others
cannot? Throughout military history, untold number of plans have been developed and executed
with both success and failure. It is not the plan that moves entire Army s across a land mass or
storms a country s beach head, but the plan that is developed during a split second between rounds
cracking over your head that defines the battle at hand.

In today s Army, we as leaders have become inundated with having to know every little piece of
information out there that we have become afraid to make certain tactical decisions for fear of not

on the FOB, less than a mile, and I found the NCOIC I was to link up with. He started off briefing
me what the timeline looked like and where I needed to be. My driver and I went inside to get the
mission brief, after we waited by the truck to be inspected. That s when the games begin. The
Sergeant First Class looked over our license and dispatch paperwork; that tarp that we didn t have

in the back with no way to hide them. So, out came 1SG. Surely I figured she would be to say yes
or no. I was sadly mistaken because before it was over, I was answering questions from the
Battalion Commander of this unit. He explained that it wasn t safe to have prisoners being seen
by the local populace, which made no sense to me at all. I gave him a simple alternative to fold
the seats up and the prisoners could sit on the floor of the bed, thus not being able to be seen by
other civilians. This solution didn t appease the LTC because now the prisoners were not safe from
a rollover. It took everything I had to not smart off to him and say a canopy wouldn t protect
