Egg Drop Lab Report
Introduction The objective of this project was to create a structure that will protect a raw egg and
prevent it from breaking when being dropped from a minimum height of two meters. A decent
hypothesis or prediction one could develop before any experimental trials would be as follows. The
structure that provides the longest duration of impact between the falling egg the ground will provide
the desired results of an undamaged egg. The duration of time in which the ground applies a force to
the egg carrying structure is referred to as impulse. The longer the span of impact time, the more
mild the force acting upon ... Show more content on [Link] ...
All the failing designs possessed at least one of the mentioned flaws.
Conclusion
After viewing the trials of drops, multiple flaws were highlighted in many designs of the lab
participants. One flaw that could have been improved on was more even distribution of straws
surrounding the egg compartment, rather than overbuilding on one side. This could be solved by
building symmetrically. Another noticeable flaw was the reckless flight patterns of designs
The Golden Bear Research Paper
2 of the greatest golfers in the history of the game, Jack Nicolas and Arnold Palmer, made an
impact on the game of golf like no other. Between the 2 of them, they have broken records, and
still hold records to this day. Jack Nicolas, also known as the Golden Bear , still hold the record
for the most majors won in a career, with 18 of them. Arnold Palmer, also known as the King , has
the 5th most PGA tourwins in history. Between the two of them they have won 25 majors. Both of
these figures have had a impact on my life and many others, the way they carry themselves and act
toward others on and off the golf course. No one will ever replace the King and the Golden Bear .
Arnold Palmer, who was born on September 10, 1929, is still know as one of the greatest golfers
to ever play the game. Palmer was nicknamed the King , because if his great golf, but most
importantly because he was the first superstar on sports television. (Arnold Daniel Palmer) Arnold
was the first golfer in history to win ... Show more content on [Link] ...
When Jack first made a appearance on the PGA tour was at the 1960 US Open, Jack finnished
second that year to only Arnold Palmer. But only 2 years later, Jack defeated Arnold in the US
Open, and that started one of the greatest rivalries of all time. (Poulter) One of the biggest
differences I know between the two golfers form watching old reruns of tournaments, Jack was a
very high ball hitter and Arnold was a low ball hitter. I watched a show where both Jack and
Arnold described each other s games and that was the big difference that stuck out in my mind. But
in more ways than not, Nicklaus and Palmer were similar with the their golf related careers. Both
of them had record breaking golf careers, and now have golf course design companies. Also they
both have clothing lines, I guess even after there many years if competing they still want
Using Assessment and Feedbackas a Teacher Essay
Today, a teacher would be hard pressed to find a classroom that isn t differentiated with student s
who possess a myriad learning styles. Because of this differentiation, the classroom is more multi
dynamic than ever. One of the most pressing issues for teachers today evolves from meeting the
various learning styles this differentiation presents and ensuring that each student masters the same
core principles, curriculum requirements and skills. Four of the basic practices: assessment,
evaluation, grading and feedback; all present a set of unique challenges in their own right. In
educationthere seems to be many debates over the meaning these terms. Most do not have clearly
distinctive definitions...Assessment is often referred to as the... Show more content on

6). Essentially, we are taking an approach from two fundamental functions of the assessment an
assessment that measures what has been learned and an assessment that is administered prior to
learning. An assessment that is administered for what has been learned most assuredly will be part
of the instructor s design; however, when it comes to the later of the two, assessment administered
prior to learning, we need to ensure this is well aligned to the values and practices of differentiated
instruction (Powell, Powell, 2009, p. 6). The central concern now focuses on the way students learn.
It is important to remember that both differentiation and the various forms of assessment
administered prior to learning both place emphasis on building student strengths and skills to
accentuate learner self direction, self reflection and self management. Grading the differentiated
classroom as a result of a summative assessment has become somewhat of a white elephant and has
become a double edged sword. If grades are not affected by the student s background, we imply that
curriculum is far more important than the student. Conversely, if we grade based on student s
background, then we serve the student
Pericles Was One Of The Great Leaders Of Athens
Pericles was born c. 495 B.C. in Athens, Greece into a noble family. A prominent statesman and
strategos were his first jobs before he became a leader. His first jobs influenced him to be one of
the greatest leaders of Athens. He ruled Athens from 460 B.C. to 429 B.C. Pericles prospered the
land by strengthening the democracy, expanding the empire, and glorifying Athens. When Pericles
first ruled Athens, he created The Council of 500. The Council of 500 discussed and voted in
assembly meetings. Although Pericles supported The Council of 500, he thought that all people had
the right to vote. Not only the wealthy citizens, but also the poor were able to serve in the
government. Since he believed that every citizen
Global Warming and The San Francisco Bay
Do you think the San Francisco Bay would not be affected by climate change of global warming?
The short answer is no. Scientists believe that in the future that the sea level of the San Francisco
Bay will rise and flood several of the San Francisco Bay Area s populated areas and landmarks such
as the San Francisco and Oakland International Airport. How could we prevent or slow down the
bay from taking over our landmarks and populated areas? Around 10,000 years ago the San
Francisco Baywas once not a bay. The glaciers from the ice age melted into water and then the
water flowed into canyons to form into the San Francisco Bay. However the flowing of the bay
may not have stopped. The San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission
predicts that the sea level will increase so much the sea will take over and flood populated areas
and landmarks like the San Francisco and the Oakland International Airports. We could recover
from natural disasters like earthquakes, tornadoes, and hurricanes, but not sea level rising. The
New York Daily News say that it would take only 12 feet for the ocean to rise and take over several
landmarks and populated areas in the San Francisco Bay Areaand another landmark could be San
Francisco Giants AT T Park. My project is to solve San Francisco Bay s rising sea level problems
by slowing it down and have little consequences to the ocean environment as possible. The project
has three objectives that could solve San Francisco Bay s sea
ICT In English Language Teaching
Once there was famine for information but today s generation is drowned in the deluge of
information. The ICT (Information and Communication Technology) has been used in all fields of
life, including education. In Indian education, the computer technology has become so significant
that the government has incorporated the ICT in the curriculum. The use of the ICT in English
Language Teaching has of late started to stress the potential and significant progress in language
learning. It has become one of the major issues in the world of educationand has been in use from
preschool to the tertiary level which could facilitate students and teachers during the process of
teaching and learning. The ICT has been gaining vitality as it is an enabling tool for educational
revival as well. As indicated above, the importance of the ICT as a teaching aid, especially in
imparting the nuances of teaching and learning English is being dealt with in detail in this paper.

Explosive Devices and Their Effects on the Government Essay
Explosive weapons have a high capacity to damage the social and economic infrastructure upon
which civilian populations rely. The destruction of housing, power supplies, water and sanitation
systems, health facilities, schools, markets, roads and transport links, and energy infrastructure
present direct humanitarian problems, deplete local and national capacity for production and growth,
and necessitate high levels of reconstruction expenditure, diverting scarce resources from
investments necessary to achieving developmental targets such as the Millennium Development
Goals. Explosive weapons may be used to impair the functioning of such infrastructure in an effort to
undermine social and community level interactions and challenge the... Show more content on

The blasts from IEDS and attacks creates intense trauma. The trauma caused is not only physical but
also psychological with causalities having types of nervous disorders labeled Shell Shock .
Trauma Care Management not only deals with the treatment of causalities but starts from
transporting the injured people from the site of attack to hospital, Pre hospitalization analysis and
determining the nature of injury to classify on the basis of priority and proceeding cases as per the
analysis.
Trauma Care also involves setting up communication centers to aid families about the information
and details of their near and dear ones who were injured or were present in the area during the blasts.
Victim Assistance is required post the treatment of physical injuries as the Long term psychological

The Millionaire Next Door Essay
The Millionaire Next Door is a book was written by Thomas J. Stanley and William D. Danko. The
book is a collection of research done by the two authors in the profiles of America s millionaires.
The term millionaire refers to U.S. households with a net worth exceeding one million dollars. I
always believed that you are considered wealthy when you make a high income. According to the
authors, most high income earners are not rich, which surprised me. Most people with high incomes
fail to accumulate any lasting wealth. They live hyper consumer lifestyles, they spend their money
as fast as they earn it. I always perceived millionaires as living the lavish life with their big sport
utility vehicles and huge mansions. Well I was wrong, in... Show more content on [Link] ...
The fact that their parents did not provide economic outpatient care was astonishing. This means
most millionaires were not financially supported by their parents. The author s research indicates
that the more dollars adult children receive from their parents, the fewer they accumulate, while
those who are given fewer dollars accumulate more . I figured these millionaires were raised in a
wealthy family and didn t want to live any other way. I thought they were given things by their
parents throughout their life. Another trait is their adult children are economically self sufficient.
The authors clearly believe that giving money to adult children damages their ability to succeed. I
agree with this because if their children keep getting life handed to them on a silver platter they won
t learn the value of a dollar. They ll think that daddy or mommy will bail them out whenever they re
in trouble which will not teach them anything about being successful on their own. They allocate
their time, energy, and money efficiently, in ways conducive to building wealth. Millionaires budget
and also plan their investments. They begin earning and investing early in life. The authors note that
there is an inverse relationship between the time spent purchasing luxury items such as cars and
clothes and the time spent planning one s financial future . In other words, the more time someone
spends buying things
Comparative Study of Jewish Marriage and Hindu Marriage Essay
Comparative Study of Jewish Marriage and Hindu Marriage
PART I
INTRODUCTION:
The Old Testament is the first part of the Holy Bible. Together with the New Testament, it forms the
scripture that are sacred to Christians. Jews accept only the old Testament emphasizing the idea of
covenant between God and His people, and contains a record of their history to show how faithfully
they observed this covenant. As a cultural treasure, the Old Testament is one of the most important
source we have for knowledge of the past.
Jews divide the Old Testament into three main sections called THE LAW, THE PROPHET and
THE WRITINGS. THE LAW consists of the books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers,
Deutronomy and in this section, we can ... Show more content on [Link] ...
Since children were important to carry on the family name, a childless wife might allow her
husband to have children by her slave. This was legal in Old Testament. It was practised by
Abraham and Sarah and even by Rachel and Jacob.3 The wife gives her maid to her husband on
special ocassions. It is difficult to give a name to the status of the maid in such relationship. She is
secondary rather than a second wife, though if the husband continued to have relations with her, she
would have the position of a concubine.

Summary Of The Film Shoot The Geek
Michael Moore had an unusual use of segues throughout the movie. One transition was the
Happiness is a Warm Gun transition, where he played the famous Beatles song while showing
footage of a guns in different scenarios. These scenarios start out innocent, showing people holding
and operating guns. Also, children can be seen shooting paintball guns in a carnival game entitled
Shoot The Geek. Then a sharp and arguably disturbing transition to a blind gun enthusiast, before
finally showing murder and suicide. The end of this segue leads into Littleton, where Moore speaks
of the rocket technology in the city as a link to the Columbine massacre. This first segue is arguably
poorly placed. The emotional impact is there and the montage sets the tone of the documentary.
However, the transition from James Nichols speaking of wackos out there, to the montage, and
ending with the weapons of mass destruction in Littleton is awkward as it had no relevance to the
preceding or following subjects. However, it does provide a gloom tone that captures the audience
first in an innocent setting, but spirals... Show more content on [Link] ...
Before the montage, Evan McCollum speaks of how he does not see the connection between the
weapons he produces and the weapons used in the Columbine massacre. McCollum comments how
the weapons were made to defend the country for aggressors. The montage then points out the flaws
in America s foreign policy, including the bombing of a supposed weapons factory that turned out to
be manufacturing aspirin. This montage instills a sense that the weapons produced are not only for
defense, but for aggression also. Therefore, the manufacturing and questionable foreign policy could
be a slight influence on the amount of gun violence in America, and the montage provided an
effective communication of this
The Uniform Crime Report Essay
The Uniform Crime Report, which was developed in the 1930s, is commonly used by the Federal
Bureau of Investigation as a record of crimes committed all across the United States. These
crimes, which fall under two categories, Part I and Part II offenses, are reported by local police
to the Federal Bureau of Investigation each year. Part I offenses are considered to be the more
serious of crimes recognized by society. Such examples of this are homicide, forcible rape, robbery,
arson, motor vehicle theft, etc. Part II offenses are those that are considered less serious, such as
fraud, simple assault, drug abuse, gambling, stolen property, embezzlement, etc. Part I crimes can
also be subdivided into what are known as violent crimes and... Show more content on

Criminal profilers can use the information from the Uniform Crime Report to presume that the
shooter was that of another African American man, possibly gang related.
Although a crime is reported in the Uniform Crime Report does not mean that the arrestee in that
crime is representative of the population. It is easy to misinterpret the Uniform Crime Report and
generalize a certain race or even gender to a particular crime. We often see poor, nonwhite males in
the Uniform Crime Report for committing Part I crimes. This diverts the attention away from the
wealthy white businessman who might be a part of white collar crime. White collar crime is hardly
represented in this type of crime measurement (Barkan, 2012). However, measurements of crime
using the Uniform Crime Report are not completely accurate either. Local police officers often do
not report crimes that they think are not substantial enough. Only the more serious crimes (Part I
crimes) are the ones that they feel deserve the time and effort doing paper work for to be reported
in the Uniform Crime Report. This means that a lot of Part II cases go unreported by police and,
once again, the white collar crimes are over looked meaning the Uniform Crime Report is not
accurate (Barkan, 2012). The only crimes that can be reported into the Uniform Crime Report are
ones that are known by police. In some instances,
