Analysis Of The Book Snape Is A Fictional Character J....
Severus Snape is a fictional character in J. K. Rowling s Harry Potter series. He is characterised
as a person of great complexity, whose coldly sarcastic and controlled exterior conceals deep
emotions and anguish. In the first novel of the series, Snape is a teacher who is hostile from the
start toward Harry. As the series progresses, Snape s character becomes more layered and
enigmatic. Rowling does not fully reveal the details of his true loyalties until the end of the final
book, Harry Potterand the Deathly Hallows. Over the course of the series, Snape s portrayal
evolves from that of a malicious and partisan teacher to that of a character of considerable intricacy
and moral ambiguity. Although he continuously tried to protect the woman he loved and then later
on, the son of the given woman, he was misunderstood by many. He gave a lot of things up in order
to protect Lily and Harry Potterbut everybody just assumed that he belonged to the dark side because
of his cold exterior. Often misunderstood and settling in situations are common for Severus Snape.

DEMAT
In India, shares and securities are held electronically in a Dematerialized (or Demat ) account,
instead of the investor taking physical possession of certificates. A Dematerialized account is
opened by the investor while registering with an investment broker (or sub broker). The
Dematerialized account number is quoted for all transactions to enable electronic settlements of
trades to take place. Every shareholder will have a Dematerialized account for the purpose of
transacting shares.
Access to the Dematerialized account requires an internet password and a transaction password.
Transfers or purchases of securities can then be initiated. Purchases and sales of securities on the ...

Every security has an ISIN (International Securities Identification Number). A separate DRF must be
filled for each ISIN.
The complete process of dematerialisation is outlined below:
The investor surrenders the certificates for dematerialisation to the DP.
DP updates the account of the investor.
Demat options
There are many hundreds of Depository Participants (DPs) offering the Demat account facility in
India as of September 2011. A comparison of the fees charged by different DPs is detailed below.
There are a few distinct advantages of having a bank as a DP. Having a Demat account with a
bank DP, usually provides quick processing, accessibility, convenience, and online transaction
capability to the investor. Generally, banks credit the Demat account with shares in case of
purchase, or credit a savings account with the proceeds of a sale, on the third day. Banks are also
advantageous because of the number of branches they have. Some banks give the option of opening
a demat account in any branch, while others restrict themselves to a select set of branches. Some
private banks also provide online access to the demat account. Hence, the investors can conveniently
check online details of their holdings, transactions and status of requests through their bank s net
banking facility. A broker who acts as a DP may not be able to provide these services.
Fees involved
There are four major charges usually levied on a demat account: account opening fee, annual
maintenance
Rmc Research Paper
Poet Robert Frost once stated, Home is the place where, when you have to go there, they have to
take you in (BrainyQuote, n.d.). This statement is a positive reflection of the services provided
by the caring staff and volunteers at Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). Families with
severely ill children under the age of 18, who are undergoing treatment from local hospitals, are
grateful for this temporary home away from home. It was the aspiration of Fred Hill, a
professional football player for the Philadelphia Eagles, to provide a comfortable place where
these families could get a good night s rest and a hot meal while visiting their hospitalized
children. Hill, accompanied by the owner of the Eagle s football team, propositioned McDonald s.
As a result, the first RMHC was built in 1974 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ( A Place, n.d.). Today,
there are more than 360 independent, non profit Houses worldwide. The local Ronald McDonald
House in Mobile, Alabama is located on Spring Hill Avenue, which leads to USA Children s and...

These donors, along with many others, contribute millions of dollars and volunteer numerous hours
of their time every year. As a result, it is obvious that the support offered to guests of RMHC is not
merely from employees, but likewise from thousands of individuals and organizations. This
exemplifies the political economy perspective, included in the systems perspective, which focuses on
the dependence of organizations on their environments for necessary resources and on the impact of
organization (Hutchinson, 2015, p. 426). Ultimately, patrons are the most valuable resource of the
association. Consequently, it is extremely probable that in future years, this agency will continue to
be effective in carrying out its mission and vision for children and their families

Zoos Should Be Allowed In Zoos
I love zoos, I could spend hours in the zoo because of all the cute animals in there, but do you
really think that zoos are suitable for our animals? Are we hurting them or making them secure?
It s really tough to decide because we really don t know what s right or wrong for our animals. In
my opinion, it could go either way. I am looking at both sides of arguments, debates and articles
to really know if zoos are right or wrong. People argue that Zoos aren t safe or can t chose what is
better for animals. There have been many points of views that zoos aren t good because it can
affect animals in all sorts of ways, like suffering mentally and physically by being in captivity.
Truth is, animals are more safe in zoos than they are in the wild. Most animals are proven to live
longer in captivity than in the wild because zoos have everything an animalneeds to be able to stay
healthy have all the safety they need, compared to the wild where they can catch diseases and be
killed. In the article The Scientist researchers from Université de Lyon in France concluded that
80 percent of these mammals live longer in captivity than in the wild. I think this is a pretty big
percent for animals living in captivity than to living in the wild, and this is good because it means
that our animals are around for longer and are safe. Animals living in the wild are more likely to
be having a shorter life. As well as zoos helping animals live longer, zoos are helping animals that are

Gender Pay Gap Essay
Gender Pay Gap Across the World
I think every female knows it, and they all know it is happening, but nobody wants to say
anything[...] (Koerner) , says Rwvvffvafg fdadd89s[p9s8ps8ssowan Blanchard, an actress, as she
explains her thoughts on the global effects of the gender pay gap on singers. Seeing that Rowan
still knows the aspects of worldly issues at such a young age deepens the severity of this wage gap.
This gap is how women in many countries are experiencing unequal pay in their workforce. Although
this disparity has been occurring globally, the gap has decreased since the 1980 s but nothing has
completely ended the inequality around the world.
Women, on average, have earned less than men in every occupation in countries with this pay gap. A
group known as the World Economic Forum s Global Gender Gap Report has begun giving
countries scores, indicating how much each country has worked towards closing it s gender pay
gap. A score of 1 shows full equality, while anything higher indicates little to no growth towards
closing the pay gap. Although some countries have wider gaps, France is known to be the second
worst country in the world for the pay gap. Although many people may disagree due to France s
positive perception of gender equality, research has proven that occupational pay between males
and females in France is not equivalent at all. To put people s positive beliefs about France s pay gap
to rest, Edsor explains that France scored 17th best in the world for
Traumatic Finger Amputation Research Paper
Introduction
A traumatic finger amputation is when a person loses part or all of a finger because of an accident
or injury. This condition is a medical emergency. It needs to be treated right away to prevent more
damage to the toe and to save the lost part of the finger, if that is possible.
What are the causes?
This condition usually results from an accident that involves:
A car.
Power tools.
Factory work.
Farm or lawn equipment.
What are the signs or symptoms?
Symptoms of this condition include:
Bleeding.
Pain.
Damage to surrounding tissues, such as bones, muscles, tendons, and skin.
How is this diagnosed?
This condition is diagnosed with a physical exam. During the exam your health care provider will
determine how severe the injury is and the best way to treat it. X rays may be done to check for
damage to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If a large portion of the finger was removed, treatment may involve reattaching the finger with
surgery (replantation).
Follow these instructions at home:
Medicines
Take over the counter and prescription medicines only as told by your health care provider.
If you were prescribed an antibiotic medicine, use it as told by your health care provider. Do not
stop using the antibiotic even if your condition improves.
Wound care
Follow instructions from your health care provider about how to take care of your wound. Make
sure you:
Wash your hands with soap and water before you change your dressing. If soap and water are not
available, use hand sanitizer.
Change your dressing as told by your health care provider.
Leave stitches (sutures), skin glue, or adhesive strips in place. These skin closures may need to
stay in place for 2 weeks or longer. If adhesive strip edges start to loosen and curl up, you may trim
the loose edges. Do not remove adhesive strips completely unless your health care provider tells you
to do
Nicotine And Epigenetic Analysis
In this article, nicotine is utilized to figure out whether it causes emotional distress, for example,
anxiety and depression. These emotional symptoms might be brought about because of epigenetic
mechanisms or alterations, for example, histone acetylation. Nicotine is a profoundly addictive part
of tobacco. The chronic utilization of nicotine is believed to increment emotional side effects such as
anxiety and depression. Anxiety and depression is seen in dependent smokers as withdrawal
indications. Epigeneticsis the study of alteration of gene expression which causes changes in an
organism. Mechanisms can be methylation, histoneacetylation and alteration in microRNAs. Studies
recommend that epigenetic changes, for example, histone acetylation... Show more content on

The outcomes utilizing histone deacetylase inhibitors demonstrate the inclusion of epigenetic
histone acetylation in the weakening of nicotine and additionally immobilization stress induced
anxiety and depression like behavioral modifications. The selective CB1 agonist AC, similar to
histone deacetylase inhibitors, gave anxiolytic and antidepressant like impacts against these
behavioral adjustments, which recommends the association of the endocannabinoid system, and the
selective CB1 antagonist SR antagonized the impacts of AC. Some weakening impact of SR was
seen on the anxiolytic and antidepressant like impacts of histone deacetylase inhibitor induced
histone acetylation, at the same time connected with both function of the endocannabinoid system,
one of the targets for histone deacetylase inhibitors, and stressor induced emotion related behaviors.
Be that as it may, against the antidepressant like impacts of histone deacetylase inhibitors, the
lessening impact of SR was restricted in the nicotine treatment
Asian And American Culture
On our planet, billions of people have lived their lives. They could have used their lives to do
well or do bad. These lives are very intriguing. That is one reason why learning about culture is
one big factor of my life. My family has a very unique lifestyle, having been in the United States
for nearly fifteen years. I have been out of the country, experiencing new things. Having friends and
a family of different cultures, a birthday party with both was a captivating thing. Experiencing and
learning about our planet s cultures is a big part of who I am.

Culture is influential in how I think. My family is not fully assimilated into the American culture. We

When they came into the house, I thought of how different they were to my other friends, but they

how they acted. My cousins were the same ethnicity as me, but my friends were a diverse crowd.
Their ethnicity didn t change how they acted. This made me realize that a person s culture doesn t
depend on ethnicity or religion, but depends on how that person grows up. That fact alone changed

Differences Between Hamlet And Hamlet
Science has not yet taught us if madness is or is not the sublimity of the intelligence (Edgar Allen
Poe). Madness can be viewed differently by different audiences, In Shakespeare s play, Hamlet, the
main character is portrayed as mad by the other characters; however, a discerning eye could view
him as the only truly intelligent one because he sees the truth. An argument would be that Hamletis
not insane, but rather intelligent and the only sane one. Likewise, In Emily Dickinson s poem,
Much Madness is Divinest Sense , has similar themes and views on madness that relate to Hamlet.
Both pieces view madness as a divine sense of intelligence and sanity. In William Shakespeares
Hamlet, madness and irrational behavior is judged reasonable and... Show more content on

One of the themes prominent in both works is: the tension between ideal and real. This theme is
found commonly throughout Hamlet and helps to add the the idea that Hamlet not actually mad;
but rather, the only one to see reality. Ideally to a normal eye it would be reasonable to judge
Hamlet and his behavior as irrational; however, to a discerning eye, he would be judged as being
sane and the only rational character, which would often cause tension between the characters. An
example of this theme found in Hamlet is seen when he is talking about how his mother should
have taken more time to grieve his father s death before moving on, but in reality she was able to
to quickly recover and marry Hamlet s uncle. Hamlet says, Would have mourn d longer! Married
with mine uncle, My father s brother, but no more like my father (I.ii.150 154). This theme can
also relate back to Dickinson s poem, she writes about how when people see things on their ideal
ways, it creates tension between the two groups of people. Dickinson writes, Tis the majority in
this, as All, prevail... (Dickinson). This further explains the concept of the majority of a society
would see the ideal views which leads to the tension throughout a society. Another universal theme
found in both works is: The clash between appearance and reality. There are numerous examples of
this theme found in Hamlet. One example would b, a conversation between Horatio and Bernado.
Shakespeare writes, (Bernado) How now, Horatio! You tremble and look pale! Is not this something
more than fantasy? What think you on t? (Horatio) Before my God, I might not this believe without
the sensible and true avouch of mine own eyes (I.ii.52 59). This conversation states that he needs to
see something to believe it; but, then asks the question: Is it actually real? There is another
Failure Of Congestive Heart Failure
Approximately 2 3 million Americans, more than one percent of the population, are currently
affected by this medical problem with numbers increasing frequently (Drug Store News, 1997).
Congestive heart failure tends to be more common in the elderly, men, and also African Americans.
Congestive heart failure has become the most common cause for current hospital admissions.
Among causing prolonged hospital stays congestive heart failure has a very high mortality rate,
which has declined since recent medical advancements.
So what is congestive heart failure? A simple definition is the heart s inability to pump blood to the
rest of the body but it goes way beyond that. The body s natural mechanisms try to compensate for
the changes that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This negative feedback loop in most conditions is good, but with congestive heart failure it forces
the heart to work harder causing advancement of the disease.
Right sided heart failure consists of the heart unable to pump blood to the lungs. This can cause
right ventricular hypertrophy, and fluid will start to back up into the body causing edema where
gravity determines. Lying down may cause edema in the buttocks and flank areas but most
commonly people see edema in their ankles and legs along with increase weight gain over short
periods of time. This type of congestive heart failure is still very important and should be seen by a
physician to prevent further problems, because patients with right sided heart failure are at high risk
for left sided heart failure.
Signs and symptoms of congestive heart failure can range from mild to severe. They also can be
associated with many other disease processes making congestive heart failure harder to diagnose.
Even most doctors have to run numerous amounts of tests to confirm the diagnosis without 100%
certainty. Patients may present with shortness of breath, rales (fluid in lungs), peripheral or
pulmonary edema, dizziness, fatigue, dyspnea on exertion, rapid and excess weight gain, jugular
venous distention, reduced ejection fraction, severe hypertension or hypotension, and failed stress
tests (Drug Store News, 1997). These symptoms are not specific enough for a clear diagnosis so
additional testing is usually

War. A General of the Union army named William Tecumseh Sherman helped lead a campaign that

During this march the soldiers lived off the land and the Southern people s food and burning

Other soldiers gave up sleeping, when it got to cold, to sit in front of roaring fires (Kennett,
1995). The wind in the area sometimes combined with the rains and the cold air, nearly knocking
over the tents of the soldiers and making them freeze into the night. During Sherman s March to
the Sea, he made a stop at Georgia s then capital, Milledgeville. Sherman arrived in Milledgeville
encountering virtually no resistance from Confederate troops; for they were off defending
Macon and Augusta and various key bridges across rivers and gorges. The Georgia governor had
fled the town and took anything of value from the Executive Mansion, shortly before Sherman
arrived. Sherman took note of the bare house and its slim pickings and slept inside along with
some equipment and other soldiers for the next few days. News of Sherman s capture of Georgia
s capital helped break apart the will of the Confederate soldiers. After Sherman s short rest he
continued his march to Savannah where he could replenish his supplies. Sherman arrived on the
outskirts of Savannah on December 11, 1864. The city was occupied by Confederate troops, and
they had the city locked down. To help seize the city Sherman would have to capture Fort
McAllister to be able to safely advance to Savannah. Sherman sends 4,000 infantry to seize the fort.
After a very brief struggle the fort is seized and is in control by Sherman, and this fort gives him
Treatment Options That Work Melasma Is A Common Skin...
Melasma Treatment Options that Work Melasma is a common skin condition that causes skin
discoloration on the face. Statistics from the American Academy of Dermatology show that the
disease affects more than 6 million Americans. Of those afflicted by the condition, 90% are
women. The number of products that have been manufactured to address the treatment of melasma
is further evidence of how widespread the condition is. Sadly, the products make it appear as if
treating melasma is easy; it is not. Before you decide to buy product X, Y or Z, I advise that you
spend a few hours reading about the condition.
What causes Melasma?
The most common cause of Melasma is an increase in melanin due to overexposure to the sun.
However, an imbalance in hormones can also cause melasma. This is often evidenced in pregnant
women, hence the moniker mask of pregnancy.
Other common causes of melasma include the use of birth control medication and other estrogen
supplements.
What Products are Available for the treatment of Melasma?
There are a few genuine products that can eliminate skin pigmentation. With a little tolerance, you
can achieve impeccable results using some of the products. However, the ultimate success depends
on the type of melasma: dermal or epidermal.
Kojic Acid, Papain, Glycolic acid, niacinamide and alpha arbutin

the most potent natural treatments for melasma, is a powerful
