Anti Federalists Vs The Ratification Of The U.s. Constitution
On the other hand, Anti Federalists were against the ratification of the U.S. Constitution. Unlike the
Federalists, many of the Anti Federalists were not included in the deliberations on the new
constitution; they were not selected as delegates to the constitutional convention. Anti Federalists
were in favor of a confederacy; a system where the central government exercises no control over
subunit governments (i.e. states) and acts for the subunits. Therefore, their name, Anti Federalists, is
not a good depiction of what they actually supported. Unlike the Federalists, they Anti Federalists did
not have as much time to prepare and organize for the ratification debates because many of them
were not included in the U.S. Constitutions... Show more content on [Link] ...
As typical of the time period, both sides commonly wrote under pseudonyms; it is a fictional
name used to keep one s identity concealed. Keeping one s identity concealed can force readers to
focus on the quality of your arguments, rather than on personalities. It is harder to get ad hominem
about a writer you cannot identify. So a pseudonym can serve a good purpose in public discourse.
Also, because the practice was common there was less concern about who authored the piece. When
selecting a pseudonym, the authored was very deliberate on who they selected to represent them.
The names were selected for symbolic meaning; a practice which was employed by almost all
writers from both the Federalists and Anti federalists.
The selection of a pseudonym was vital to the portrayal of an author s piece. The Federalists Papers
were written under the pseudonym Publius, however, it was written by Alexander Hamilton, James
Madison, and John Jay. Most Americans would recognize Publius as the Roman who was one of the
founders of the republic. Also, they would identify him as an individual who saved the Roman
Republic from tyranny on several occasions. Therefore, using Publius as a pseudonym possessed
influencing power. The writers of the Federalists Papers wanted to be known as defenders of the
republic and used Publius to symbolically represent that. Using a historical figure with a republican
reputation such
Society Expectations In Society
From the moment we are born , our genders have giving others a certain expectation from each
and every one of us . Women are usually expected to look to know how to cook and clean , to
have children and stay home to take care of them they are to aspire to be a perfect wife for their
future husband . Men are expect to take care of their family by bringing a good amount of money
homeeach day and with that pay the bills . Even though most of us probably don t see things like
this , maybe some of our family members still do and they go by these false perceptions that
society has put on all of us since the day we are born . I know that my family does and maybe
yours does too , speaking from experience I know how tiring it is to hear the same things being
repeated to you almost your whole life or doing things you just don t wantto do. Many children are
raised in a household where they are taught to follow these expectations created by society .
Including myself , I have always been told there is a certain expectation from me as a women that
I should get used to cleaning the house and cooking a meal because if I cant t do those tasks , no
man will want to be with me . Which I find infuriating , i should not be expected to take a care of
another who can take care of themselves and if I were to , it would be my choice not because i am
expected to do so , due to my gender. That doesn t go for just women, but men too. It s not fair that
men are expected to pay for the bills , rent
The Role Of Communication And Interpersonal Interaction On...
Assignment 1:
The Role of Communication and Interpersonal Interaction in Health and Social Care
In a health and social care setting there are two different types of communication and those are
verbal communication and non verbal communication. Verbal communication is the way you talk to
someone and non verbal communication is your body language towards someone.
Verbal Communication
There are many different types of verbal communication. One is whether you have clear speech.
Having clear speech means that someone will be able to understand what you are saying without
having to ask you again. It depends on whether you pronounce words correctly with the right
sounding at the end of words and what your voice sounds like so, if you have a sore throat then
your speech may be too quiet and not clear to understand.
Another type of verbal communication is selection of appropriate language. This is the use of
formal language, informal language, avoiding slang or regional word as appropriate. If you were
just talking with your friends or colleagues then you may use informal language because you are
familiar with the people but, if you were talking to a service user or client then you would use
formal language because you have to be professional within the workplace. You would not use slang
with them or regional words because they may not be able to understand what you are saying and it
is not professional to use this type of language. Another form of verbal communication is age
Scheron s Theory Of Addictive Behavior
Scherhon (1990) describes the addictive behavior as an overpowering, but welcome desire. It is
suggested that individuals are addictive to compensate for their lack of self esteem, handling
problems, pain, depression, and any emotional and psychological issues. Drugs originate satisfactory
moments leading the individuals to develop an addiction(American Psychiatric Association, 2002).
Addiction, is a disease and involves behavioral components such as bio psycho social and manifests
itself in a unique way in each patient. It is a pathological relationship established between the person,
the psychoactive substance or additive behavior in a particular psycho social context. The
individuals have difficulties of controlling consumption, even ... Show more content on

The psychotherapy is one of the models used to treat drug addiction. Psychotherapy has gained
popularity, and numerous clinical reports indicate the potential and effectiveness of this treatment
applied to dependent patients. However, it has limits and has not always been followed by research
regarding substance abuse (Woody, Luborsky, McLellan O Brien (1995).
The chemical dependence, in general, causes difficulties in all areas of the individual s life. The
individual s behavior is affected bringing considerable consequences such as legal and social
problems, relationship, and physical harmful such as brain damage (Woody, Luborsky, McLellan O
Brien (1995). The individuals can be helped through a psychotherapy because the technique is
adapted to the specific needs of the individual and it is focused on the interpretation of internal
conflicts, where the individual can express his emotions and recognize his behavior and the need for
a change (Woody, Luborsky, McLellan O Brien (1995).
The patient would benefit from Cognitive Behavior Therapy to make them aware of their triggers
and provide them with the tools to counter those behaviors while empowering
Hashimoto Thyroiditis Research Paper
Hashimoto Thyroiditis also known as Hashimoto s disease named after Hakarum Hashimoto back
in 1912, is an Autoimmune Lymphocytic infiltration of the thyroid gland by antithyroid
autoantibodies. It is highly likely for a person to develop Hypothyroidism as a result of the
autoantibodies attacking the thyroid and keeping the thyroid from producing the amount of
hormones our bodies need. As stated in the Ear, Nose and Throat Journal Approximately 5% of the
general population has hypothyroidism, with Hashimoto thyroiditis the most common cause. (2)
The journal also goes on to say how women are affected disproportionately with a ratio of 10:1.
While there is not a definite cause of Hashimoto s it has been researched that majority of people
who have the disease have a family member who also suffer from thyroid disease, suggesting that it
could be genetic.... Show more content on [Link] ...
Some women have thyroid problems for the first year after having a baby, although majority of
the problem tends to go away after time it has been researched that as many as 20% of these
women will develop Hashimoto s years later. (3) As well excessive iodine and radiation exposure
can play a role in helping with thyroid diseases that can eventually lean towards Hashimoto s in the
future. Hashimoto s can take years to develop and can be associated with many conditions such as
diabetes mellitus type1, autoimmune adrenal insufficiency (Addison disease), atrophic body
gastritis and many more. It is prevalent that in majority of the cases of Hashimoto s the person has
already had some type of encounter with a thyroid problem rather it be hypothyroidism or
hyperthyroidism, the problem never really went away it just evolved in time into
Argument Essay On Abortion
Abortion Debate
Abortion is the termination of a human pregnancy by choice. A U.S Supreme Court case on January
22, 1973(Roe v. Wade) ruled that unduly restrictive state regulation of abortion is unconstitutional.
Although this court case essentially decriminalized abortion, the morality behind it is still heavily
questioned 44 years later. Movements such as pro life and pro choice have both made strides in
converting their beliefs into legislation. However despite the legal progress both sides have made,
abortion continues to be an ethnically divisive topic.
A PEW Research Center survey stated that, 40% of americans believe that abortion should be illegal
in all or most cases. The mission statement of a major pro life organization named National Right to
Life (NRLC) says, The mission of National Right to Life is to protect and defend the most
fundamental right of humankind, the right to life of every innocent human being from the beginning
of life to natural death. The Pro Life Action League believe that unborn infants have the same
constitutional unalienable rights as any other human being.
Many opponents for abortion cite religious reasons as the basis for their arguments. A PEW
Research Center survey stated that, 70% of evangelical protestants believe that abortion should be
illegal in all or most cases. In addition, 44% of Catholics also believe that abortion should be illegal
in all or most cases. One pro life organization, Pro Life Action League, said that
Gene Therapy for Cancer Essay
Cancer occurrs by the production of multiple mutations in a single cell that causes it to proliferate
out of control. Cancer cells often different from their normal neighbors by a host of specific
phenotypic changes, such as rapid division rate, invasion of new cellular territories, high metabolic
rate, and altered shape. Some of those mutationsmay be transmitted from the parents through the
germ line. Others arise de novo in the somatic cell lineage of a particular cell. Cancer promoting
mutations can be identified in a variety of ways. They can be cloned and studied to learn how they
can be controlled.
Several methods such as surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy have been used to treat cancers. The

It may be possible to correct an abnormality in a tumor suppressor gene such as P53 by inserting a
copy of the wild type gene; in fact, insertion of the wild type P53 gene into P53 deficient tumor
cells has been shown to result in the death of tumor cells (3). This has significant implications,
since P53 alterations are the most common genetic abnormalities in human cancers. The over
expression of an oncogene such as K RAS can be blocked at the genetic level by integration of an
antisense gene whose transcript binds specifically to the oncogene RNA, disabling its capacity to
produce protein. Experiments in vitro and in vivo have demonstrated that when an antisense K RAS
vector is integrated into lung cancer cells that over express K RAS their tumorigenicity is decreased
(4).
Despite the promise of such approaches, a number of difficulties remain to be overcome, the most
important of which is the need for more efficient systems of gene delivery. No gene transfer system
is 100% efficient, unless germ line therapy is contemplated. During the past two decades, there have
been major advances in our understanding of how cancer develops, proving that cancer has a
genetic basis (2). A series of genetic abnormalities that accumulate in one cell may result in a pattern
of abnormal clonal proliferation. Our growing understanding of the genetic basis of cancer offers
new opportunities for the molecular prevention and treatment of cancer. There has been a
The Leadership Styles Of Sir Li Ka-Shing
As a most successful leader, there are lots of success experiences about his leadership. One of the
leadership styles that Sir Li Ka Shing having is the transformation leadership style. His
transformation leadership style can be shown by his growing business operation. On the different
stage of his company s growing, his innovation is widespread. He always change the old way
although it seems health and success. He is a transformational leader who uses intellectual
stimulation. Nothing can stop him from innovation and change the old rules. He has the ability of
imagination and creativity in rethinking assumptions and old ways of doing things. To illustrate
my point, Sir Li Ka Shing entered the business world as a teenager, selling plastic goods until he is
twenty two years old. He started his own plastics company, Cheung Kong, specializing in plastic
flowers. He entered the real estate market in the [Link] 1979, only the colonial government owned

without seeking any opinion. Sir Li Ka Shing autocratic action is inappropriate and this will
eventually create fear and low employee morale. Therefore, to apply autocratic leadership style in an
appropriate way, Sir Li Ka Shing should listen to his employees and take their complaints into
considerations. This will lead to the employees to remain loyal towards Sir Li

more detail needed; but probably enough to write a paragraph or two in an essay on industrialisation
between 1919 and 1941...
The nature of industrialisation in the 1930s
The nature of industrialisation changed in the 1930s. In the 1920s industrialisation had occurred
because of free enterprise and big business. But with the onset of the Depression, industrial output
fell dramatically. (statistics needed). To combat this, the federal government adopted a role of
directly stimulating industrial growth. The Public Works Administration (PWA) instituted in began
many large industrial projects with the aim of spurring the economy and providing many jobs. The
Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) was a federal project to energise the economy through a massive
industrial scheme sponsored by the federal government. Twenty five dams were built to reshape the
land and generate hydro electricity, which could further contribute to industrial growth. Another
example of government leadership of industry was the National Recovery Administration (NRA),
which attempted to foster industrial growth through the creation of codes for each industry. These
federal programs fundamentally changed the nature of industrialisation. In the 1930s, the
government s approach to industrialisation was more akin to socialist state style industrialisation
than it was to the American capitalism style industrialisation of the 1920s. Further, the federal
government s
Olaudah Equiano
My book is called The Slave who bought his Freedom . It was written by Olaudah Equiano. He
was born in 1745. I believe that he wrote this book to show people how he and many other African
Americans struggled. I also believe that he is trying to paint a picture of what Africa looked like
and how it felt to be torn away from its cultured landscape.
Only a small part of Equiano s childhood was enjoyable. He talks about his religious beliefs.
Which is a god that they called by the name of Chukwu. He, and his people believed that Chukwu
lived in the sun and that he was the one and only god. Equianos s father was one of the chiefs in
his village and he was a great leader. When Equiano was younger he wanted to be just like him. He
deeply loved his parents and his younger sister, Owi, who is a year younger than him.
In one day, his life was taken away from him. When he was eight years old, he was playing with
Owi in the sand. All of a sudden they were both stuffed in sacks and dragged away. They were
captives of the Oye Eboe. The Oye Eboe are Indians. He said that as a small child he was frightened
by them. They were instantly separated from each other. They united again in Africa, but that was the
last time that they saw each other. Equiano was sold many times before they took him away from
Africa. As a slave he worked all the time. ... Show more content on [Link] ...

is what he ended up doing. He faced many hardships at sea, became a Christian, and educated
himself. He even became a hair stylist at a time. Even though he went to the remotest spots on the
world he was never able to come back to Africa. He died between the times of 1797 and

German sculptor. The artist worked both in traditional techniques and materials, as bronze or
plaster, at the same time exploring the border between painting and sculpture by producing
evocative reliefs and works in mixed media. Fischer received his education from the Academy of
Fine Arts in Munich, where he studied under Heinrich Kirchner (1953 8). There he initiated the
artistic group SPUR (1957), together with Heimrad Prem, Helmut Sturm and Hans Peter Zimmer.
Recognized quickly after leaving the academy, Fischer was honored with several scholarship and
prizes, such as the prize of Stiftung Arnold schen (1959) or the Villa Massimo scholarship (1961).
Persuasive Speech About Sports
As Kobe Bryant said; Sports are such a great teacher. I think of everything they taught me:
commodity, humility, and how to resolve differences . (Kobe Bryant). Sports are all over the world
and range from many activities such as hockey, basketball, football, cricket, swimming, and
bowling. I as a youth participated in many different sports including volleyball, basketball, soccer,
golf, tennis, and gymnastics and with all of these sports I was able to grow my confidence,
determination, and leadership that I now carry with me through life. All children benefit by being
involved in a sportat some point in their life. Today I will discuss the Health, social and
psychological benefits and Educational benefits that come from children participating in sports. Not
every sport is for every childand not everyone is amazing at sports, but all children should
experience sports and find a sport they love. With sports children can grow into healthy and athletic
adults as well as successful humans with high positivity in physical activity. Sports enhances the
physical and mental developments of children and aids their growth as they get older and become
adults
I. Children grow with the help of sports. Children s health, social, and psychological benefits are
adapted at higher rates with the participation of sports. Sports positively affects aspects of children s
development with themselves and their esteem, others around them, the idea of working towards a

Essay On The Perfect Pearl
The Perfect Pearl
The Pearl in Steinbeck s story of the same symbolizes the corrupting power of materialism which
recently destroys everything worthwhile in Kino s life. In this book, it takes place in a little town
in Mexico called La Paz. This book begins with a description of the loving family s life of Kino and
his wife Juana and there infant son Coyotito.
One early morning on coast of Mexico, Kinos family was getting ready for breakfast. When Kino
went to check on Coyotito, he loves how sweet his baby boy looks when he sleeps, but as he began
to get closer he was shocked with fear! There was a scorpion crawling down the splintery wooden
rope that held the baby s cradle. Then a million thought went through Kinos head and he sprung ...

dealer only offers a thousand pesos when Kino believes that he deserves fifty thousand. Although
other dealers inspect the pearl and give similar prices, Kino refuses their offer and decides to go to
the capital to sell it there. That night, Kino is attacked by more thieves, and Juana once again
reminds Kino that the pearl is evil. However, Kino vows that he will not be cheated, for he is a man.
Later that night, Juana attempts to take the pearl and throw it into the ocean, but Kino finds her

hand. Juana watches from a distance, and sees Kino approach her, limping with another man whose
throat Kino has slit. Juana finds the pearl, and they decide that they must go away even if the
murder was in self defense.
