Cold Forming Lubricants

FUCHS possesses extensive knowledge of raw materials and processes, and

with its many years of experience, it can provide customised products for
nearly all forming processes.

RENOFORM forming lubricants are synonymous with top quality and

outstanding application results, whether for rolling, drawing/deep drawing,
stamping, fine blanking, cold extrusion, wire, tube, and bar drawing, or
hydroforming. By using RENOFORM forming lubricants, you can enhance
efficiency, durability, and plant safety while reducing wear, environmental
impact, and follow-up costs.

Drawing, or deep drawing, is a crucial sheet metal forming process where

tensile and compressive forces are applied to the workpiece, typically
without altering the sheet's metal thickness. Key factors in this process
include the material, its thickness, the draw ratio, and the lubricant used.
The friction conditions and lubricant requirements are more complex than
in other metal forming processes. However, with our expertise, we can
provide the ideal lubricant for your application.

Wire, tube, and rod drawing is a metal forming process where

the workpiece undergoes tensile and compressive forces. The
material is pulled through a female die, continuously reducing
its cross-section. This technique produces workpieces with
smooth surfaces and precise tolerances. Using the appropriate
lubricant ensures excellent drawing performance, a high-quality
surface finish, minimal wear, and extended service life, while

Refrigeration Oils

Refrigeration oils are crucial in the field of lubricants and lubrication

technology. The longevity of refrigerant compressors relies heavily on the
refrigeration oil quality.

Key parameters include favorable solubility with the refrigerant, excellent

low-temperature flowability, high thermal stability, good ageing
resistance, and strong chemical stability in the presence of refrigerant.

Coolants for Data Centres

The digital revolution, driven by 5G communications, crypto-mining, and

artificial intelligence, is leading to the development of more powerful
processors and servers. These advanced processors and servers require
more cooling than traditional air cooling, as the traditional method requires
more space, energy, and water. To address these new cooling challenges,
hyperscale and colocation data centre designers are turning to liquid
cooling techniques commonly used in high-performance (supercomputing)
centres.

Immersion cooling, a form of liquid cooling, is particularly well-suited

for future cooling needs. Single-phase fluids are the preferred choice for
immersion cooling systems due to their zero ozone depletion and Global
warming potential, as well as their simpler design requirements.

The process of immersion cooling is still in its early stages but holds enormous potential for future
development, which is already in full swing. There are even initial approaches to using the excess heat
generated in the future to heat rooms or water elsewhere instead, thereby taking a closer look at the
sustainability factor. The idea has already been tackled by our experts at FUCHS.
