Title: Starlight Defender: The Chronicles of Max Vega
Page 1: The Kid No One Believes
• Max Vega, 12, lives in a trailer park outside of Roswell, New Mexico. He’s obsessed
with space and aliens—and everyone thinks he’s a little weird.
• He’s bullied at school, lives with his grandma (a retired Air Force radar tech), and spends
nights scanning the sky with his homemade radio telescope.
• One night, the telescope picks up a strange signal: a binary distress call… from inside
Earth’s orbit.
Page 2: First Contact
• Max rushes to record the signal—and then sees a crash. Something falls from the sky into
the desert beyond the ridge.
• Armed with a ashlight and a slingshot, Max sneaks out and nds a wrecked alien pod.
Inside is a wounded alien kid—Zara, a princess from the planet Lysari, eeing a war.
• Zara warns Max: the enemy, the Graveth, are close. They've followed her. Earth is next.
Page 3: The Graveth Arrive
• That night, Max witnesses the sky tear open—a Graveth ship cloaks itself and lands in
the mountains.
• People begin disappearing. Electronics go haywire. Max sees a black-suited "government
cleanup team" arrive, but they’re not human—they're Graveth in ltrators.
• Max and Zara narrowly escape one of the scouts thanks to her tech and his quick
thinking.
Page 4: Training Days
• Max hides Zara in an old missile silo his grandmother used to work in (long since
decommissioned).
• She shares alien tech: a plasma gauntlet, a hover disc, and a neural link to her ship,
which is still orbiting.

• They begin training—Max has a talent for strategy and improvisation, and Zara is
impressed by his bravery and instincts.
• They become friends, bonding over the feeling of being outsiders.
Page 5: Grandma Knows More
• Max’s grandma catches him sneaking back and reveals she knows. She once saw
something crash decades ago—and has kept a hidden radio transmitter in the basement
ever since.
• She helps them decode the Graveth encryption and reveals a terrifying truth: Earth is seen
by the Graveth as a "seed world"—raw material for invasion and terraforming.
Page 6: First Battle
• Graveth drones attack the town’s power station. Max and Zara intercept them. Max uses
improvised weapons (e.g. reworks, a homemade EMP) and Zara uses her alien blade.
• The battle is messy—but they win. It's Max’s rst real taste of combat. He realizes: he’s
not just ghting for fun now. He’s ghting to protect his home.
Page 7: Betrayal and Capture
• Zara’s beacon is traced. The Graveth launch a full assault on the missile silo.
• Max and Grandma are captured; Zara is forced to surrender herself to save them.
• The Graveth plan to use Earth’s satellites to send a wormhole beacon—bringing the full
invasion eet.
Page 8: Escape and Resolve
• In a holding cell, Max and Grandma escape using a hidden blade Zara slipped to Max
earlier.
• Max reaches Zara just as the Graveth prepare to launch the signal.
• With only minutes left, Max and Zara team up for a desperate plan: override the beacon
to target a black hole instead.

Page 9: Final Showdown
• Inside the Graveth ship, Max and Zara ght through corridors of alien tech.
• Max confronts the Graveth warlord—General Kroth—and tricks him into activating the
wrong coordinates.
• The wormhole opens—sucking the beacon and half the ship into space.
• Max and Zara escape on a hover-bike seconds before the ship implodes.
Page 10: Earth’s Defender
• Zara’s people arrive to retrieve her—and offer Max a place at their intergalactic academy.
• Max declines—for now. “Earth still needs me.”
• Grandma gives him a nod. “Guess saving the planet runs in the family.”
• The last shot: Max scanning the stars again—only now, he’s not waiting for someone else
to come. He is the someone.
