Comparing The Battle Of Waterloo And The Battle Of...
Drill and discipline, are what make it possible for a victory in battle. If warriors going into battle
are not accurately trained in the practice of drill and discipline it can result in a mere senseless
blood brawl ending with large amounts of casualties and grave losses. In the battle of Agincourt
1415 is was a battle between King Henry V of England whom wanted to reclaim lands both won and
lost during the previous century from France which was under the rule of King Charles VI although
the army outnumbered the English, it was in this battle the French suffered many casualties due to
poor strategy. In the battle of Waterloo 1815 two hundred years later it was a battle between the
English army commended by the Duke of Wellington and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moreover, though their Calvary was great it was foolish to send them off against archers though the
men wound not be completely harmed by the arrows horses would be put into a panic and their own
men would be trampled by their horses. The French had set themselves up for failure as the chaos in
battle must have put pressure of numbers and desperation [which evenly] caused the French to spill
from their columns resulting an unorganized and disastrous attack against the English. In the battle
of Waterloo there are noticeable changes compared to the battle of Agincourt besides the change in
weapons. The first is the size and organization of military units on the field as show in John Keegan
s diagram, cavalry and infantry are spread throughout the field with artillery placed within infantry
units, this is has created a spread out line rather than a tight knit line used in the battle of Agincourt,
allowing more movement and opportunity to inflict more damage on the enemy. The second
noticeable difference is the men used in battle, rather than it being aristocratic vassals of the king
and their vassals, it was men as
General Mills Mission Statement
General Mills is a profit company. They are responsible for Cheerios , Pillsbury , Betty Crocker ,
and Haagen Dazs , just to name a few. General Mills has been in business since 1928. The company
has over millions of dollars. The URL for the website is www.generalmills.com.
The company mission statement is We serve the world by making food people love . This is a short
and powerful statement. They want to feed people healthy food. The company puts a lot of oats in
everything. So there for ,the company has lots of nutrients to serve off to the world. I can bet that
everyone has at least two items from the company in their kitchen.
The website mentions that they are the best company that provides the right amount of nutrients to
everyone ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They hire farmers who grow the ingredients naturally. They promote safety ,quality and diversity.
Then they enhance the products by nutrition and variety.
They have an amazing value chain going on,
While viewing the website, I seen things that wore emotional appeals. They show starving children
getting fed their food. That makes us react because starving children are a big thing right now.
They also show a beautiful farm. They want to let us know that the food they provide is 100% safe
and natural. They even show a beautiful Caucasian family at a dinner table eating dinner. They show
the family laughing. They want to let us know that their food provides smiles and love.
They show logical appeal by saying things on the website like We are family . Logically , the
whole America is one big family. But we are not related. They say this because they want us to
know that they are on our side. They also say We serve the world and We grow together . They
give us a power to the reason. Because they know there are a lot of phony companies selling bad
food with unnatural
A Sand County Almanac Aldo Leopold Analysis
In part II of A Sand County Almanac Aldo Leopold continues to talk about Wisconsin, but also
talks about other various places across North America he has visited. I think his experiences
across North America have influenced his philosophy toward nature and management because
Leopold traveled North America, as he shows in part II he has walked its mountains and crossed
its swamps. As a result Leopold observed firsthand the interdependence of the world, because
when he opens part II about the cranes of Wisconsin then later he talks about Sandhill Cranes
when he recounts his trip in the Gulf of the Colorado River located in Sonora, Mexico. Looking at
my National Geographic field guide for birds I can see that Sandhill Cranes summer breeding
ground reaches into southern Wisconsin and its winter non breeding ground is around the USA
Mexico border, so he likely has witnessed the differences in their behavior during the breeding and
the non breeding season.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As a result Leopold knew from his travels that one can learn from the mistakes of what happened
to animals like the passenger pigeon throughout North America and the bear in Escudilla things
that happen locally can have a non local effect like causing the deer population to rise. Leopold has
not yet sufficiently talked about his opinion on manage for me to know with certainty what he
thinks about management, it does look as though he will talk more about that in part III. Right now
I would not be surprised to see him in favor of protection for animals and plants, because of the way
he talks of the Passenger Pigeon and its monument, also the way he talks of the Wisconsin
marshlands and the efforts of government via the CCC (Civilian Conservation Corps) during FDR s
administration to restore the
Fahrenheit 451 Literary Analysis
Literature is represented in Bernard Schlink s The Reader , and Ray Bradbury s Fahrenheit 451
through a character s understanding of its cognitive value that is influenced by certain ideas,
thoughts, and experiences, that exist within fiction and nonfiction. Fahrenheit 451 is a dystopian
novel, that entails a futuristic world administered by an oppressive, volatile and tyrannical
government, on the verge of war. The novelpresents a society that appears to have vacated all its
love of books and the need for any independent knowledge. On the other hand, The Reader opens
up in a post war Germany when Michael, a fifteen year old boy, engages in an affair with a 36
year old woman, Hanna, who abruptly exits his life, only to turn up in court, years later, accused of
the mass murder of Jewish women that were locked in a burning church while she undertook the
profession as a concentration camp guard. By then, Michael, is a law student who observes the trial
and realises that Hanna is, in fact, an undisclosed illiterate, a detail that has exceedingly affected her
actions in the past and which gravely undermines her position in court during her trial. Hanna s late
understanding of the holocaust, through her reading the prominent books by Holocaust survivors,
such as Primo Levi, and Elie Wiesel, and the histories of the camps, show her keen need for
understanding the historic literature, after which she is able to come to terms with taking
responsibility of the role she played
Essay On The Curios Incident
Rationale: the following assignment is based on the book The curios incident of the dog in the night
time by Mark Haddon.
The book narrates how the life of Christopher John Francis Boone (the first character) changes, since
he found his neighbor s dog, Wellington, murdered in front of the neighbor s house. At the beginning
the murderer was unknown and the curiosity of Christopher to find the killer of Wellington started to
grow. Therefor Christopher commence a strategy to come upon the criminal, based on his beloved
fictional character, Sherlock Holmes. During the investigation he relevance ago a math exam A that
he will do for up the mathematics class level, as well Christopher discover truths about his family, his
personality, his goals, and finally the killer, his father. Amid the investigation Christopher also
mention some characteristics of his behavior, they lead to de reader to understand Christopher´s
conduct as autism person. At the end of the story after he made the exam for math A, some aspects
of his life started to change. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This in order to clarify the why of the attitude that Christopher took after the new. Also I will try to
use a language very similar to the Christopher lexical, keeping some of his more common
expressions. The main argument to choose an internal monologue, is that this kind of text can give
me the best way to communicate the whole of feelings, thoughts, and the reaction of Christopher,
about inputs that were coming, on this moment; I will try to communicate what was happening in
his brain, the confusion, the meaning of the small things all the inputs coming. Also knowing that
Christopher is autistic, I will represent some sounds with the symbol sound , I will repeat some
phrases, and quote others from
How Did Niccolo Machiavelli Contribute To The Prince
Niccolò Machiavelli was an Italian philosopher born in Florence, Italy in 1469 during an unstable
time in which Italy was divided into four rival city states (Biography). The time period was erratic
with frequent power changes due to their vulnerability to other regimes vying for power. The
regime change that had the most impact on Machiavelli was the fall of the Medici s who were
ruling Florenceup until 1494. In their demise, Machiavelli became a diplomat and served the new
Republicuntil the Medici returned to their throne (Biography). In light of their return, Machiavelli
played a part in organizing a militia against the Medicis but was unsuccessful and consequently was
tortured, jailed, and subsequently exiled from his beloved home city (Biography). His banishment
and inability to be apart of his esteemed city, neither politically or as an ordinary citizen, ultimately
hurt him worse than the torture ever could. In his banishment he began working simultaneously on
the books he is most known for The Princeand The Discourses. His prior experiences with the
Medicis and his grievances towards them influenced much of his writings and his views on how a
Prince should act in a Republic.
The disunity of Italy, was a strong example for Machiavelli, for a condition a Republic should avoid
since it would lead to tremendous instability and would obstruct the Prince from taking absolute
power over his Republic. Furthermore, Machiavelli s experiences within this chaotic state left a
What We Saw Theme
What We Saw in black and white
Black and White, what comes to mind besides two colors? These colors have always represented
Good and Bad, people have avoided the gray area in between for centuries but it has always been
there. In Aaron Hartzler s first fiction novel What We Saw, this representation of good and bad was
presented often. The line between black and white was crossed many times by Kate but in the end
she stepped in between. A high school party filled with booze started the entire plot off. A horrid
act done by 4 high school boys is what made Kate fall into the gray along with her finally seeing
people as not just black and white but also gray. In the story Aaron Hartzler presents that not
everyone and everything is all good and white and not everything is all bad, Aaron helped show the
gray in the situation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kate did not see everyone in the white area, however her fault was believing that certain people
could never do anything wrong. Even in the beginning, when she states to her mother that Ben
didn t ever mess up. (2) She was later proven wrong when Ben does something or rather doesn t do
something during the party. The importance of the theme in this novel is shown with the main
characters struggles towards the situation and what happened along with who was there. For me
this theme comes around very often. Seeing the world in black and white would be the same as
turning a blind eye to every wrong going on in the chaos that is the world. There is nothing
wrong with seeing the good in people, however never looking past that to the gray can cause for
strife. For me this theme is of importance in a way that helps me realize how I see people can affect
my view on the world and how I see good and
Robber Barons Pros And Cons

October, 2016
Robber Barons or Not? The 19th century, the industrial revolution. These were times times of new
manufacturing processes. The time of captains of the industries. Entrepreneurs, people who organize
and operate a business or businesses while taking on greater than normal financial risks in order to
do so, dominated with wealth. However they ruled with social respect. These powerful men were
mistaken for robber barons, unscrupulous plutocrats that gain a fortune through ruthless means.
However, through proof of treatment to workers, their effect in politics, and their distribution of
wealth; entrepreneurs are not robber barons. The factory workers say that it s impossible to do
anything right. If
Moddmic 5 Case Study
The AntLion ModMic 4.0 was a huge success in the gaming community due to its ability to turn
any audiophile grade headphones into a high quality headset. In an attempt to further improve the
possibilities of DIY audiophile headsets, AntLion has released an updated version of their
microphone, the ModMic 5. The ModMic 5 offers a large amount of customization options over
the 4.0, but does so with a slightly higher price tag. The main question when looking at the
ModMic 5 is not about it s quality, but more so about its value over the 4.0. The main selling
point of the ModMic 5 is its modularity. Aside from the microphone itself, the packaging includes
multiple accessories that can be mixed and matched to enable a personalized feature set. The
microphone comes with two standard 3.5mm audio cables, one with a length of 1m and one that
is 2m long. To help with cable management, the ModMic 5 also comes with multiple cable clips
and a braided cable wrap. The clips and wrap can be used to keep the wires for the microphone and
the headphones bundled together seemingly making it one cord. In addition to the cable, a mute
switch module can also be attached to the microphone which allows the microphone to easily by
muted by moving a slider up and down.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The 3M adhesive ensures that the base clasp does not become detached from the headphones. The
magnets used to attached the mic to the base is fairly strong so the microphone will not move
around while gaming, but it is also very easy to detach the microphone and move it between
different bases. Once attached, the adjustable mic boom can be bent so the mic itself is held at an

Were The Young Turks Responsible For The Armenian Genocide
To what extent were the Young Turks responsible for the Armenian Genocide of 1915?
The Armenian Genocide was the systematic destruction of the Armenian population as part of a
deliberate policy of the Ottoman regime in 1915. Governing the Ottoman Empire between 1908 and
1918, the Young Turks or more specifically, the Committee of Union and Progress (CUP) conceived
the deportations and eventual genocide of the Armenian peoples as a necessary condition in the
establishment of a Turkish state. This was ultimately reinforced by an Islamic ideological construct
that envisaged the removal of internal enemies or infidels from the social body, that coincided with
the Young Turk notion of destruction as self construction . The theocratic nature of the empire saw
the collective religious and cultural devaluation of the Christian minority that was further instilled by
the notions of Pan Turkism that had sought to achieve a homogenous Turkish state.
One of the most tragic metamorphoses in modern history was the process, from 1908 to 1914, that
transformed the seemingly liberal Young Turks into extreme chauvinists, bent on creating a new
order and eliminating the Armenian Question . The Young Turks originally emerged prior to the
1908 revolution as a constitutionalist movement against the autocratic regime of Sultan Abdul
Hamid II, and subsequently governed the Ottoman Empire between 1908 and 1918. Inspired by
Western ideology and French democracy, the Young Turks had adopted

Bridges are networking devices that can connect 2 local area networks (LAN). A bridge can learn
all of the MAC addresses on the network, and this is done during the bridges data gathering
phase. Basically a bridge will receive the data and analyze the address. The bridge will then pass
the data on to the correct address. The ports on a bridge are in and out, but they are smart ports
with the ability to locate the address on the network. Switches are much like a bridge where they can
connect networks that use the same protocols. They are used to direct traffic over multiple networks.
Some switches will check ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In a small network with just file sharing a 10 Mbps NIC card would work fine, but with 24
computers in the LA office the advantages of having the faster 10/100 cards outweigh keeping the
older slower cards. Karla receiving formal training would help SMPR in the future. I believe that it
would make her an even greater asset to the company if she was properly trained. Her knowledge
and experience would greater benefit this company. Karla has done a great job with the knowledge
that she posses and if she had some formal training she could be an even greater benefit. Managing
and troubleshooting a network a certain level of training that she at the moment lacks, and that is
why I believe that she would benefit from some formal training. I would benefit in attending the
seminar on fine tuning Ethernet networks. This seminar would help increase my knowledge pool.
Seminars are times to learn new techniques and then apply to techniques to help my network run
more optimal. I believe all Techs would greatly benefit from attending these seminars for the
knowledge that they gain, and possibly from the people that they meet. Gaining this knowledge
would help me do my job better and also help keep the SMPR network running smoothly. Ethernet is
typically the technology that is used to allow computers locally to communicate with one another.
Computers that are close to each other they are connected by Ethernet.
