Advertisement for JRF Position

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the position of Project Technical Support - III in an
ICMR funded Research Project entitled ‘Development and delivery of ready to commercialize indigenously
developed PoC- ICT for simultaneous diagnosis of HEV & HAV in single strip and establishment of
Integrated Hepatitis Management Sites (IHMS) in North-East and Central India for identification of
circulating HAV & HEV genotypes and devising intervention towards achieving goals of National Viral
Hepatitis Control Program’.

Objectives of the Project


The project's main aim is to develop an LFA-based diagnosis of HEV & HAV. The proposed studies include
molecular cloning, protein expression, Ag-Ab reactions, ELISA and LFA development.

Eligibility
Essential Qualification:
M.Sc. (with valid GATE) / M. Tech. Degree or equivalent in streams like Biotechnology /Biochemistry /
Microbiology / Life Sciences OR B.V.Sc. (with valid ICAR AIEEA-PG) OR B.Pharma (with valid GPAT)
OR MBBS (with valid NEET PG) or in any other science and engineering stream.

Desirable:
Candidates having experience in working with cloning, expression, and purification of proteins from
bacteria, protein characterization and crystallization, etc., are encouraged to apply. CSIR / UGC/ DBT-JRF
fellowship holders would be preferred.

Monthly Stipend:
As per norms (i.e. about Rs. 28,000 + 16% HRA (if hostel accommodation is not provided))

Duration:
The appointment will be for 6 months.
