INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICANTS
Your interview is at the location noted above. You can only attend your appointment at the designated location at the
designated date and time.
When coming for an appointment at the US Embassy or Consulate, you must present the following mandatory documents:
A passport valid for travel to the United States with a validity date at least six months beyond your intended period of stay in the
United States
DS-160 confirmation page completed and submitted within the last 6 months. This should be the same DS-160 with which you
booked your appointment. If it is not, you must contact the AVITS support center to update the DS-160 prior to your
appointment.
Important note: Please verify that all your information matches before attending your appointment! If the DS-160 does not
match the one used when creating the appointment, access to the interview will be denied. To get your DS-160 updated within
your user account, please login at www.usvisaappt.com. In your Dashboard, click Support to create a ticket and upload your DS-
160 confirmation page, so the number can be amended. This update can take up to 48 hours.
A passport photo taken within the last 6 months, with the applicant's name written on the back;
Visa application fee receipt;
Required documentation for certain visa renewals: F/M (I-20), J (DS-2029), H/L (I-797), etc.

SECURITY REGULATIONS
Applicants are not permitted to enter the U.S. Embassy/Consulate while carrying any of the following items:
A Battery-operated or electronic devices such as mobile phones, digital diaries, digital watches, pagers, cameras, audio /video
cassettes, compact discs, MP3s, floppy disks, laptops, or portable music players
Large shoulder bags/purses - only bags that can be carried by hand will be permitted
Bags such as travel bags, backpacks, briefcases, suitcases, leather, cloth bags, and zip folders - you can only carry plastic bags
containing application-related papers
Food items
Sealed envelopes or packages
Cigarettes, cigars, matchboxes, lighters
Sharp objects such as scissors, pen knives, or nail files
Weapons or explosive materials of any kind
This list is not exhaustive. Other items may be prohibited at the discretion of security staff.
There is no facility at the Embassy or Consulate to store prohibited items. You must make arrangements to store these items
before you enter the Embassy or Consulate. Due to security considerations, there is no information window for walk-in visitors
at the Embassy. Only visa applicants with scheduled interviews will be admitted into the Embassy/Consulate.
