Different Types Of Software Types And Their Uses
Digital Technologies 1.40

In this report I am talking about a number of different software types and their uses. There are
many types of software that all do different jobs. There are also many brands or different
alternatives to certain software s such as .png (portable network graphic) and .jpg. there are other
types of software that do not preform one specific task but instead allow other software to run.
These are operating systems these allow higher level more specialised software to run while doing
the base computing to make it easier on the components of the computer. And also communicate with
the components.
Operating Systems and Application Software

When computers started out, customised programs used to be written and run at a very primitive
level. This involved manipulation of bits and bytes using numeric instructions called machine code .
Eventually, symbolic languages were developed that made this manipulation easier. However, as
computers became more complex, it seemed senseless for each program to repeat the same code that
handled low level tasks like reading and writing to disk, altering graphical displays, and printing
information. Things became even more tricky when multiple users needed to be accommodated.

These low level tasks are all now handled by the operating system, which acts as an intermediary
between the higher level programs that accommodate users, and the lower level tasks of system
management already mentioned above memory
Fifty Shades Of Grey Themes
Fifty Shades of Grey is an elaborate film that ties love and romance with bondage and discipline,
dominance and submission, sadism and masochism (BDSM) (Leistner Mark, 2016). This movie has
a push/pull romantic relationship with an university senior Anastasia (Ana) Steele and a muiti
millionaire Christian Grey. Ana and Christian are instantly attracted to each other however, their
relationship throughout the movie tends to be strictly sexually based. Ana is a hopeless romantic
and Christian is a sadistic lover, which causes Christian to become apprehensive about Ana and send
Ana on a course that ultimately causes her to try everything in her power to prevent that resistance.
This begins to draw them closer together, but Ana then learns about... Show more content on

This is depicted throughout the entire film, from the first time the main characters have sex all way
to the end of the film. In addition, the role that each gender plays in the movie is another theme that
was portrayed in the film. BDSM within the film is expressed as pleasurable and something that
everyone will enjoy. With all the whips, toys and ties that are mentioned or said within in the film it
sounds amusing for anyone. In addition, the contract (De Luca Johnson, 201) that is a fundamental
base line for Christian to be involved with Ana is poorly portrayed. Within the movie it is seen not as
a consent between both the dominant and submissive, however it is a rule that is turned into a
living, breathing, and at times uncomfortable interpersonal experiences (Laurie Kean, 2015). In
reality, this consent is something that both the dominant and submissive agree to that will and will
not happen when being involved in BDSM not something that will alter one s life. BDSM is based
on trust and communication between the dominant and the submissive, which was lacked in the
film. Ana agreed to situations that she didn t know she was putting herself in, for example
punishment that Ana was going to receive because she was out of line (De Luca Johnson, 2015).
Here in the movie it was shown as whipping using a leather belt on the butt, the tears and faces that
she was making whilst it was happening showed that it was not pleasurable. Here once again, BDSM
was not presented correctly. Research suggests that an important factor in maintaining sexual
satisfaction and relationship satisfaction is being able to communicate effectively (Leistner, Mark,
2016), this is why at the end of the film, Ana ended the relationship because communication was not
there and she felt hurt and betrayed rather than
jazz Essay
Jazz is the kind of music that makes me want to do one of two things. Depending on the mood of
the jazz, sometimes I feel like relaxing and just listening to the music and letting it run through me.
Other times I feel like getting up and dancing as if I have not a care in the world. The jazz concert
I attended on at SLO Brewing Company on October 6, 2001 inspired me to do both of these due to
the variety used by the musicians in dynamic, rhythm, tempo, and many other aspects of music.
The group consisted of three individuals called the Anthony Wilson Trio. The instruments included
an electric guitar, a percussion set, and an organ. The three sounds were creatively combined to
make for a wonderful concert. ... Show more content on [Link] ...
The songs would unexpectedly slow down or speed up creating specific effects which embellished
the songs by taking the audience by surprise. The tempo varied between andante and allegro, rarely
speeding up or slowing down to the extremes of the tempo scale.
The beat and meter of each song was fairly difficult to distinguish. The meter tended to be irregular
and seemed to change throughout the song. In addition, the usage of several syncopations made the
task of finding the beat even more difficult, but also may have been more distinguishable to an ear
more musically trained than my own.
The harmony of the music seemed to carry mostly consonant sounds interspersed with a few
dissonant moments. The concert contained both melodic styles of staccato and legato, legato being
slightly more prevalent. There was also a variety of musical texture throughout the concert,
homophonic being the most common, but a small amount of monophonic and polyphonic textures as
well.
A few aspects I found intriguing about the jazz concert included the percussionists use of metal,
bristle like brushes on the drums which had a calming effect on the particular pieces in which they
were used. The percussionist also used, in addition to traditional drumsticks, a set of drumsticks with
white, soft looking pieces on the end, creating a muted effect on the drums. The percussionist also
performed numerous
Comparison Of Romeo And Juliet 1996 And 1996
Romeo and Juliet is one of the most commemorated and referenced plays in the history of the
world. Because it is so popular, many variations of the play exist. Since different ideas about the
play have produced a multitude of different reenactments, lots of plays out there have many
differences. Three of these versions, Two of which are movies made, one in 1968, the other in
1996, and the last is an actual play production on Broadway in 2014, have many differences and
similarities. What we can interpret from these variations is that even though the words on the script
may not change, with time, culture can alter the appearance and mood of the production. Romeo and
Juliet (1968) was filmed mostly in Rome, Italy. The movie featured sixteen year old... Show more

Some of these similarities come between Romeo + Juliet (1996), and Romeo and Juliet (1968).
Both of these productions are movies, and such allows the viewer to get a better visual
experience of the script by Shakespeare. Two two of these share many qualities, such as the
Montagues and Capulets being two of the wealthiest houses in Verona, and a very open conflict
between each other. The two of these also share some contrast. In the 1968 film, both houses were
Caucasian, however, in the 1996 film, there is an ethnic difference between the Montagues, who
are white, and the Capulets, who are Hispanic, except for Juliet and Juliet s direct family. Another
difference is that the fight between the houses in the 1996 version was more gang related, violent,
and involves the use of firearms, while the 1968 version is a chivalrous conflict, and cheap swords,
not guns, are used. What s also the same between these two is that the setting in both of these have
hot climates. Rome, Italy, which is where the 1968 version was filmed, typically has warmer
temperatures year round. Los Angeles, California, where the 1996 film was set has hot and dry
temperatures and weather, especially in the

Short Story On Thomas Ham
Thomas Ham looked out the rainy window. The cars and trucks passed by. He saw the gray
buildings. He was scared. Why? When he got home his mom s boyfriend was probably. His dad
died from saving Tom from a fire. There was no money. They were forced to move to New York
City in a small apartment. The yellow bus slowly came to a stop. Tom got off of the bus. Pressed
the button to call up to his mom, Hi, mom
Hey, you can come up. The key is under the rug, his mom said. He walked through the passageway.
He came upon a courtyard with some old tables and chairs. He walked into his building. Then he
jogged up the stairs with his books. He picked up the key from under the rug. He turned the key
and walked in. He walked into the wood floor and green wall apartment. His mom was sitting
reading on her bed. Hey, how was your day? ... Show more content on [Link] ...
Even though he was 13 and a half he didn t have anything else. It also reminded him of his dad.
Later that night, Tom went to go wash up after he ate his ramen noodles. He brushed his teeth. He
went to his bed and said to his mom, Will Will here tomorrow?
Ya, I know you don t like him but he is a nice guy. Thomas hid under the covers and cried until he
fell asleep.
Thomas woke up and it didn t look like his house. He stood up and stepped on the wool carpet. He
looked at the wooden support beams. He walked down some stairs. He saw a regular kitchen and
dining room. This must be a dream, he thought to himself. He walked out of the house. There was a
fountain when he walked out. People in medieval clothes were walking around everywhere. There
were white stone roofed house.
People were mumbling when they saw him, is he the one?
Wait is that Thomas?
Call the king!
Thomas looked around anxiously because they were looking at him and talking about him. Then
suddenly everything got quiet. A guy with a crown and
A Brief Note On Northwestern Mutual And Financial Planning
On May 31, I began working for Northwestern Mutual in downtown Nashville. Northwestern Mutual
is a Fortune 500 life insurance and financial planning company. Since then, my title hasn t just been
intern or college intern and I wasn t just doing busy work or making copies for people. Northwestern
Mutual treats their college interns as full time representatives with all of the daily jobs and
responsibilities that full time employees handle. Northwestern gave me the title Financial
Representative and sent me on my way to make a difference in peoples lives by giving them the
opportunity to gain financial security through live insuranceand financial planning.

Talk about an encouraging and reassuring first day after being so scared!
A typical work day during this program looks something like this: get to the office around 7:00
AM, start dialing at 9:00 AM, and then from 10:00 AM on is when meetings are set up to meet
with potential clients. Every day I had to wake up and call 30 40 people and repeat my sales
language over and over again to try to get them to meet with me. Of those 30 40 people per day,
only about 10 15 would answer and about 3 5 would actually say yes to setting up a meeting with
me. Once I met with the people who agreed to meet with me, I would complete a something called
a Fact Finder on them. Basically, a Fact Finder is a booklet of questions that I ask to get to know
the clients professional, personal and financial goals along with their current finances. At the end
of the Fact Finder, is when you talk about what services that you offer and how those services can
help that person based on the information that was talked about in the Fact Finder. Since May 31,
I was able to write six lives on two couples and a young adult. That is when the rewarding part
occurs. It is an indescribable feeling to know that you just covered a family and that now they are
safer because of you and your hard work. This job is not about instant gratification in any way. You
