Harlem Renaissance Resistance
The Harlem Renaissance was the most important movement in regards to both American art history
and resistance art. The movement spoke to a new generation of artists, thinkers, poets, and scholars
to discuss African American pride, history, social, and cultural attitudes within a form. This was also
known as the New Negro Movement, stemming from the 1920s where African Americans sought to
educate, shock, and celebrate their own culture. Public inspiration in Harlem became popular due to
the works that Aaron Douglas created. In the postmodern era following the Harlem Renaissance,
artists such as Faith Ringgold and Michael Ray Charles began to reillustrate ideas from the Harlem
Renaissance and presents them as new ideas in several artworks, displaying its resistance to the
status quo.
To determine if an artwork that stems from the Harlem Renaissance into the 1980s is considered
resistance art can be difficult as one can argue both ways. The New Negro movement follows a
pattern of resistance in the artworks subject matter or the artist s method of creation. The Harlem
Renaissance s creations are a foundation of resistance through the use of subject matter and mediums
in response to social movements. The beginning of the movement marked a time of rebirth, pride
and unity for Harlem and it s newly free relocated citizens of African American descent. In the 1980s
African American topics such as, the Mammy character and or Uncle Tom s character as they are

Adderall Case Study
The perspective I would use, as the clinician, for Felix s condition, is cognitive behavioral therapy. I
would use CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) because it s a short term, goal oriented
psychotherapy treatment that takes a hands on, practical approach to problem solving. The goal
of CBT is to change patterns of thinking or behavior that are behind people s difficulties, and so
change the way they feel. This would seem like the ideal solution to help Felix battle his troubles
with focusing in school and the appearance of irritability and sadness or so depression. Based on
this case study I would go ahead and conclude that it seems that Felix has ADHD. Some signs that
point to this is his symptoms, which are the inability to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is based on his damaged frontal lobe from the car accident, which can be justified by a doctor
stating that his executive function is messed up. He can be treated with CBT (cognitive behavioral
therapy) through the help of learning to be more organized and having a reward from his parents
for doing the right thing. If, his parents chose the route of medication, it would be preferred that
Felix takes Adderall. The Adderall will help him stay focused in school and control his feelings of
sadness/depression, with the help of dopamine and norepinephrine in Adderall. The overall result
shall be a more stabilized child that can go on with his/her day without any interruptions that he had
Comment and Response to Texting and Writing by Michaela...
Comment and Response to Texting and Writing by Michaela Cullington After reading Texting and
Writing, by Michaela Cullington, I do not agree with many of her viewpoints. Cullington argues that
texting does not affect a students writing. Textspeak, the abbreviation and shortening of words like
used when writinga text message, does affect the way a student writes because they use the
abbreviations, and their writings tend to lack punctuation. When a writer uses excessive
abbreviations on a regular basis they can get stuck in the writer s head causing them to use them in
all of their writings. Cullington did make good points of her own opinion on texting and writing in
her piece, but I disagree with her and believe that texting and... Show more content on

Cullington recalled a few examples that teachers found while reading papers, 2 instead of to, ;
gr8, instead of great, ; dat, in place of that, ; g2g, for got to go, ; hbu, instead of how about you, ;
cuz, to replace because, ; and wut, for what, . Textspeak is a dangerous way to write, and once a
writer learns and gets used to writing that way, writing papers for school becomes more and more
difficult. A common acronym is LOL which is an abbreviation for laugh out loud. The abbreviated
for LOL would not be acceptable for an academic paper. Our current generation needs to pay more
attention when writing, and to use correct spelling and not use acronyms to shorten their written
ideas. Writing College, Writing Life s article Learning the Language by Perri Klass talks about
how some professions require abbreviations, which is one of the few times it is accecptable.
Abbrevaitons can be helpful and an easy way to write a few words in just a few letters. Teachers
do not like abbreviations because the writer tends to assume the reader knows what each acronym
means, the paper should be and enjoyable read, not a confusing puzzle. While writing a paper for
school teachers do not approve of abbreviation and acronyms, the writer should just take his or her
time to write our each word correctly. Michaela Cullington believes that texting
Chris Mccandless Reflection
This quotation is recorded from just one of the many letters sent in after Christopher McCandless
s story was published in the magazine entitled Outside. Many people believed that in order to do
something as insane as he did that he must be mentally disturbed . While people native to Alaska
saw him as just another person unprepared for the elements he was about to face. Despite the
negative aura that surrounded the story of Chris some people still wondered how all this affected
his parents. Any number of people believe that it takes a truly evil person to up and leave like
Chris did. In some ways these people have an argument, to see your parents for the last time and not
let them know it is the last time is pretty rude and selfish, but there
Hbov Analysis
Abstract Human bocavirus is a single stranded DNA virus. HBoV was discovered in 2005 within a
nasopharyngeal sample. HBoV belongs to the Parvoviridae family, these group members contain
four proteins. HBoV, in particular, contains two nonstructural proteins which are called NS1 and
NP1. HBoV also contains two overlapping capsid proteins which called VP1 and VP2 (Z. Zhou et
al., 2014). The non structural NS1 had been identified as main proteins that are responsible for
genome transcription, replication, and packaging in the viral cell cycle. Patients with HBoV
infection express various signs and symptoms such as rhinitis, pharyngitis, cough, dyspnea,
wheezing, pneumonia, fever, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea (Jartti et al., 2012). HBoV can... Show

HBoV2 can be divided further into two additional strains A and B since there is divergence in their
nonstructural gene nucleotide sequence (Jartti et al., 2012). Human bocavirus have been detected
in sample retrieved from another part of the body apart from the respiratory tract. HBoVs have
been found in stool, serum, saliva, and urine samples. Human bocavirus have been mainly found
in stool samples aside from nasopharyngeal samples. Human bocavirus can also be found in river
and sewage water. Since HBoV is a non enveloped virus, it has the ability to possible persist outside
the human body. HBoV and other viruses at times slip past the bacteriological standards used to
assess the virological quality of potable
Waltz Song Compare Contrast
dance: The traditional waltz will always be in debuts, but in our waltz we added our own little
twist. Usually, there will also be another performance from the debutant, but since Maggie and I
were running out of time we had to cancel that out. Our theme song was Lemonade (Jeremy
Passion s version). Maggie and I love that song, we complete thought it was appropriate for us to
use is as our waltz song. We had paired our court by height, (because we really do care about
height differences). There were 11 pairs (including Maggie and I and our escorts). We
choreographed our waltz with Yasmine, we sort of took some of her moves (from her quinceañera)
and made new ones in between a less than a week or so. The dancevaried from moves such as the
Ef And Theory Of Mind
EF and Theory of Mind
It has been suggested that there is a strong link between EF and Theory of Mind (ToM; Moses
Carlson, 2004). ToM is the ability to infer other people s mental states, such as intentions, thought,
feelings, and beliefs (Baron Cohen, 1988). Neuroimaging studies have indicated that prefrontal cortex
is involved in thinking about mental states (e.g., Amodio Frith, 2006; Frith Frith, 2003; Sabbagh
Taylor, 2000; Siegal Varley, 2002). It was well documented that individuals with ASD have deficits
in both ToM and EF (e.g., McEvoy, Rogers, Pennington, 1993; Pellicano, 2010; Russell, 1997;
Zelazo, Jacques, Burack, Frye, 2002). Individuals with ASD have deficits in ToM tasks and perform
worse on ToM tasks than ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moreover, EF abilities play a pivotal role in ToM development (Pellicano, 2013). The predictive
relationship between EF and ToM has been shown in the previous studies not only in individuals
with ASD (Kimhi, Kugelmas, Agam Ben Artzi, Ben Moshe, Bauminger Zviely, 2014) but also in
typically developing individuals (Carlson, Moses, Claxton, 2004; Hughes Ensor, 2007; Moses
Tahiroglu, 2010). For instance, Cognitive Flexibility and verbal abilities are the key predictors for
performance on the ToM tasks (Kimhi et al., 2014).
In summary, there were some evidence suggest the importance of Working Memory in social
communication and interaction abilities for individuals with ASD, yet other evidence showed
mixed results of specific EF abilities. Nonetheless, it is safe to conclude that deficits in ToM hinge
on the development of EF, especially Working Memory (holding in mind other s perspective) and
Inhibition (repressing the irrelevant information) (Carlson et al., 2002, 2004). Overall, individuals
with ASD have trouble with both EF abilities and ToM abilities, and EF is thought to play a
significant role in the development of ToM (Carlson et al., 2013). As such, trainings that promote EF
abilities among individuals with ASD might subsequently facilitate the development of ToM.

Variable Speed Control Techniques For Single Phase Ac...
ABSTRACT
This work presents a variable speed control techniques for single phase ac motor. A pulse width
modulation (PWM) AC chopper changes the value of the supply voltage applied to a single phase
motor. The variable supply voltage gives better speed control of motor. Harmonics generated by unit
of speed control are filtered by an input filter circuit. Experimental results would be in 230V and
speed control of single phase motor shows that PWM AC Chopper is simple and cost effective
control method compared to better control method to other methods in terms of simplicity and input
harmonic content. In this harmonics reduction techniques for designing a Pulse Width Modulation
(PWM) AC voltage controller is required. So that Total current Harmonics Distortion (THDi),
obtained for to be minimized. In the Main Circuit we have used Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor
(IGBTs) or MOSFET to obtain output waveform as we shown theory of AC voltage controller
with PWM techniques. We will be used at the end of project with Microcontroller are presented.
We obtained results by the analysis of the AC single phase motor and PWM AC chopper is
derived and its behavior of the system is studied by simulation using MATLAB and PROTEUS.
The Mains power factor, motor speed, and current are analyzed for different conditions as using
many circuits via op amp, IC 555, optocoupler and ARDUINO. Harmonics analysis of the motor
voltage and current are given and compared with phase control techniques.

Soliloquies In Hamlet
The tragedy Hamlet written by William Shakespeare, who formulated a drama regarding the young
Prince of Denmark, Hamlet, who experiences the emotions, depression, rage, and uncertainty
because of the assassination of his father, King Hamlet. The culprit who directed this criminal action
was Hamlet s uncle, step father and the new King of Denmark, Claudius. Hamletyearns to seek
revenge upon Claudius not only for the assassination of his father but, the incestuous relationship
between him (Claudius) and Gertrude (Hamlet s mother). In the Prince s first soliloquy, he ponders
on committing suicide when he encounters difficulty mourning the death of his father whom he
adored. As the soliloquy advances, he exposed his passions of disgust on his mother s decision to
marry her dead husband s brother, Claudius. This marriageis incest because, Gertrude, a widowed
wife, marries her brother in law, Claudius who is considered as family during the Elizabethan era.
His disturbances present itself in act one scene two where Hamlet goes through a state of
depression because of his father s death, and then leads to anger because of the relationship between
Gertrude and Claudius. In brief, Shakespeare utilizes the soliloquies to observe Hamlet and his
constant emotional shifts which allows character development throughout the tragedy In one
example, Shakespeare employs imagery to develop Hamlet in his state of depression and anger due
to the death of his father. Hamlet expresses his
