Data analysis has become an essential tool in various fields and
sectors and can be used to achieve significant improvements in
decision-making and future policy-making.
Data analysis is an in-depth process that requires a combination of
skills and knowledge in multiple fields, such as mathematics,
statistics, and computing techniques, as well as a good
understanding of the context in which the data is being analyzed. In
this part of the research, we will discuss in more detail other aspects
of data analysis that include: advanced approaches to analysis,
modern techniques, challenges of analysis, and applied examples.
1 .Advanced Approaches to Data Analysis:
With the development of data science and modern technologies, it
has become possible to use more complex approaches to provide
accurate and detailed insights. The most important of these
approaches include:
1.1 .Advanced Statistical Analysis
• Multiple Regression: Used to determine the relationship between two
or more variables, with the aim of predicting future values. An
example of this is analyzing the relationship between different
economic factors such as GDP, unemployment, and inflation.
• Time Series Analysis: Used to study data collected at regular
intervals. The data is analyzed to understand seasonal patterns or
future trends. For example, this technique can be used to analyze
product sales or monthly temperatures.
• Factor Analysis: Helps reduce dimensions and reduce complexity by
grouping similar variables into groups or key factors.
1.2 .Machine Learning
Supervised Learning: Relies on historical data containing known
outputs to train the model to predict new outputs. The most famous
methods in this field are: linear regression, support vector machines
(SVM), and neural networks.
Unsupervised Learning: Used to discover patterns in data that does
not have a known output. An example is cluster analysis to discover
similar groups within data.
Deep Learning: A branch of machine learning that uses deep neural
networks to analyze complex data such as images, videos, and texts.
1.3 .Text Analytics
Sentiment Analysis: Used to analyze texts to extract negative or
positive sentiments and opinions. It can be applied to user
comments on social media or product reviews.
Information Extraction: Aims to extract specific information from
texts, such as names, places, or events.
