Relay Health Case Study
Case Study on Relay Health Case Study/Relay Health Deirdre L. White July 1, 2017 Letourneau
University What stage of the product life cycle is this e platform in now? According to Relay Health
the Corporate Overview (2017) stated they have been recognized as leader in developing and
supporting key improvements in healthcare IT. They are a secure online service that provide
connectivity and solutions between the provider and the patient. Thus enabling patients, providers,
pharmacies, payers and pharmaceutical manufacturers, to connect by offering real time solutions
thus streamlining interactions throughout health care. Because of this Relay Health are able to
improve the care of the patient, they are able to access... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They should also show the uniqueness of their company and how McKesson and Relay Health
has joined forces thus making them a power house. McKesson has been in business since 1833
they are the largest pharmaceutical distribution network in North America they are also leading
the nation in health care information technology firm. Relay Health offers digital communication
mediums for connection of patient to physicians, pharmacies, payers and financial institutions.
Because of McKesson and Relay Health has joined forces it is important for them to focus on
those aspects in the business that are sustainable for a period of time. Making it possible for
anyone to access the service. In order for patients to obtain the services they need to make it
possible by not just making it possible for patients to access their product from a provider who
offers Relay Health. But making it impossible for patients to gain access without any stipulations.
It is important for Relay health to focus on removing access barriers making it easy for consumers
to gain access whether or not the provider offers Relay Health. It should still be assessable to the
consumer. Thus showing the buyers that they are offering a high quality product that is cost
effective. In Chapter 2 several Growth Strategy alternatives were posed. Consider each alternative for
Relay Health. Which one did American Well employ? Which alternatives might be
The Runaway Twin
The Runaway Twin by Peg Kehret is a fascinating book. The way the author describes the
challenges Sunny went through are just outstanding. I think the theme of this book is to never
give up no matter how difficult the challenges that are thrown at you are because in the end it will
be worth it. I believe this because when Sunny was caught in the middle of a tornado she stuck
her ground and tried her best to survive which she succeeded. Another example is, when Randy
was caught under a few wooden boards and a a cast iron sink she tried her best to set him free,
giving herself blisters in the process. She decided to run and try to find help for him she didn t just
give up on him. Sunny Skyland is only 3 years old. Her and her twin sister, Starr,
Aylor Research Paper
Human activity has changed Aylor almost entirely. It has started as a swamp, but human activity
has changed the biome entirely from swampland to deciduous forest. The area around Aylor used
to have moist soil. Now, the soil is prone to dry periods. Some of the soil has cracks in it. There
used to be all sorts of vegetation and animal life, from dragonflies to cattail plants. Now, there is
virtually no cattail plants, but there is now grass and weeds such as dandelions. The animal life is
now replaced by various insects and the occasional bird. The ecosystem has changed so vastly that
I, along with my classmates, could not tell at all that Aylor used to be a swamp until we were told.
In the beginning of the year in August, the grass was
Essay on The Death of Artemio Cruz
The Death of Artemio Cruz

Carlos Fuentes author of The Death of Artemio Cruz has used his novel to show how Mexico has
been transformed and molded into its present state through the use of his character Artemio Cruz.
Fuentes uses Cruz to bring together a historical truth about the greedy capital seekers, robber barons,
if you will, who after the revolution brought Mexico directly back to into the situation it was in
before and during the Revolution. Fuentes wrote the novel in nineteen sixty two, shortly after the
Cuban Revolution. Fuentes is able to express his disappointment from the Mexican Revolution, the
revolution by the people in his native land. The revolution seemed to change nothing for the average
person in Mexico; the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He was revolutionary in the way he was able to use characters in his writings to disclose the big
picture and history of his own home land, the country of Mexico. Fuentes was able to reach out to
people of all walks of life, his writings were eventually all translated, and he became known
worldwide. Fuentes wrote many controversial books, some of those were: Terra Nostra, The
Campaign, The Old Gringo, Where the Air Is clear, The Death of Artemio Cruz, The Good
Conscience, The Orange Tree, etc. I believe Carlos Fuentes published nineteen books altogether,
many of the books seem to be almost chapters of one large novel; a novel that was an idea to bring
information to the people, to help people think about things outside of the box, the way he saw
things. His work was very insightful and helped to show the struggle of Mexico throughout
history and even to the present day. Fuentes also wrote many essays of social protest and several
short stories. He had a love of history, a desire to show the truth and the want to enlighten people
to believe in a better way of life, all of these things he was able to due in his writings. I believe he
just wanted the average person to understand how and why their economy, Government and their
basic existence came to be. . . He was trying to reach the average Mexican. I believe Fuentes
basically blamed the people of Mexico for letting these things
Software Patent Law Essay
Software Patent Law

A patent can be defined as a legal document granted by the government giving an inventor the
exclusive right to make, use, and sell an invention for a specified number of years. 1 These special
rights are given to the inventor as a means of incentive to further advance technology. The origins of
patents are unknown, though the distinction of the longest continuous patent system belongs to Great
Britain. The British patent system originated in the 15th century, when the Crown first started
dealing with the granting of privileges to manufacturers and traders. The earliest known British
patent was issued in 1449 for a method of making stained glass.2

Since those medieval beginnings, patent law has grown and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

How do U.S. and European policies affect the global perspective on patenting software?

In the sections that follow, the policies of the U.S. and Europe will be analyzed to see how these
ethical questions may be answered.

Background Information: Governing Bodies

Up until recent times, the organization of the global patent system has simply been that each country
has their own patent laws and offices. These offices deal with their own domestic patent filings, as
well as those of foreigners seeking protection against infringement in that particular country.
Manufacturers have come to embrace the idea of distributing their goods to the world market; so as
globalization grows, so does the need for international patents.

In 1973, thirteen European countries signed the European Patent Convention (EPC), with the
objective of developing a uniform patent system (the European Patent Organisation) in order to
make patent protection in Europe easier and less costly. Four years later, the European Patent
Office (EPO) was founded as the executive branch of the Organisation. The EPO currently has
twenty seven member countries, and is still expecting more to join. Though the EPO does include
all fifteen members of the European Union (EU), it is important to note that the EPO is not
governed by the EU.3 Each country still maintains its own patent office and applies its own laws.
However, since the goal of the EPO is to harmonize
Restoration Of Restoration And Conservation
Everyday, our history and the visions of artists are threatened by time. Left alone, paint will fade,
old buildings will fall and the history associated with them will perish. As time goes by the need
to preserve and restore this history becomes increasingly important. Generations to come should
not have to miss out on these priceless pieces of history simply because these artifacts were left in
ruin. When it comes to cleaning and restoring historic art, there is always the risk of altering the
work from its original state or even worse, ruining it beyond repair; yet time and the elements put
these masterpieces at risk every day. Action must be taken in order to preserve our history. The need
for restoration and conservation is strong, however, the results of restoring works of art history can
come with heavy criticism. The team selected to restore the Sistine chapel ceiling, between 1980 and
1999 (Beck pg. 64), very well know this to be true. Before moving into the controversy surrounding
the cleaning of the Sistine chapelceiling, it is imperative to understand the origin of this grand work
of art. During the fifteenth century, the location of the Pope s Roman residence had moved from the
Lateran Palace to the Vatican. Sometime after this transition occurred, Pope Sixtus IV of the Della
Rovere family erected several new structures, including a new papal chapel that was named the
Sistine. In 1503 when Giuliano Della Rovere, better known as Julius II, became Pope, he
The Statement Of Engineering Methods For Design And...
The ultimate goal of my research is to implement engineering methods for creating material designs
that would improve the quality of the life for humanity. More specifically, I implement the
knowledge and skills that I have developed over the past years to make progress in design and
engineering of smart materials, biomaterials, and metamaterials. By the witness of my former
projects, publications, degrees, and certificates, I possess solid knowledge and skills in designing
and conducting experimental, numerical and analytical researchin interdisciplinary branches of
material sciences. To date, I have obtain major background in the fields of composite design,
bioengineering, and multi scale simulation, and accomplished multiple project in... Show more

A sample realization of the codes for simulating 3D particle reinforced composite is depicted in
Figure 3. The results of these efforts have been (and will continue to be) published in peer reviewed
journals of science and presented in major engineering conferences. Moreover, methods developed
for this research can be made compatible for advancing research in phase change materials, coatings,
tissue engineering, and many more frontiers of science.
During my master s degree at Villanova University, I conducted an experimental research under the
supervision of Dr. Jens O.M. Karlsson at Biothermal Sciences Laboratory . In this NSF funded
research position, I designed, built, and optimized different types of glass capillary microfluidic
devices, and utilized them for producing micro emulsions. Subsequently, these micro emulsions were
used for investigating ice nucleation and crystallization in supercooled ultrapure water, for which I
used high speed imaging technique in conjunction with a powerful optical microscope and a cryo
stage. Figure 4 is a micrograph taken from one such video. Needless to mention, the knowledge
gained from these experiments can open new doors to understanding mechanisms of damage in cells
and tissue due to preservation at cryo temperatures.
The demand for smarter design of materials for health related and energy related applications keeps
Jnc s Six Subsections
The following section is broken into six subsections that will assess how each topic relates to JNC 6,
7, and 8. The subsections are organized into the following: algorithms, classification of hypertension,
lifestyle modifications, pharmacological treatment, and management of care. It is important to note
that JNC 6 and 7 have a greater correlation in format and the types of recommendations presented to
clinicians. Contrastingly JNC 8 varies in format, as well as the type of recommendations presented
to clinicians, therefore each of the subsections may not contain information on JNC 8.
Algorithms:
Algorithms are useful for clinicians because they provide a schematic visual that is presented in a
multistep model to help in the diagnosis and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The algorithm begins with an indication that is used for adults over the age of 18 and noted that
lifestyle interventions should be continued throughout management. Goal blood pressures are
separated by age and presence of chronic disease. The goal for patients over 60 is SBP 150
mmHg and DBP 90 mmHg. The goal for patients under 60 is 140 mmHg and DBP 90 mmHg.
Different goal values are presented for patients with chronic conditions. Treatment with medication
is categorized by: general population nonblack, general population black, chronic conditions black,
and chronic condition all races. Based on the algorithm black patients should only be prescribed
thiazide type diuretics and/or calcium channel blockers. While non black patients can take all of the
medications listed in JNC 8 (thiazide type diuretics, ACEI, ARB, and/or CCB). If patient does not
reach goal blood pressure then three strategies are listed, along with lifestyle adherence. The
algorithm also explains not to use ACEI and ARB together. The final option for patients not at goal
blood pressure includes additional medications and/or referral to physician with an expertise in

Automobile Safety Essay
People in developed countries all over the world have come to see automobiles as the preferred
way to travel. They allow independence: point to point transportation without having to rely on
others to get where we want to go, to do what we want to do. Long range travel and short range
travel can be undertaken whenever one desires, either alone or with other people. Citizens of the
modern world must often wonder how people ever lived without automobiles. To think that human
beings once traveled everywhere by foot or on horseback is not just a humorous idea to reminisce; it
is foreign concept that would not allow the social and business cultureof today to exist.

It is almost as foreign a concept that early automobiles were driven ... Show more content on

Simple mistakes, that everyone makes, can lead to great harm. Even the most cautious and agile
driver cannot avoid every possible stalled car, unexpected furniture, careless cell phone user, stray
animal, unexpected construction, or drunken driver on the road.

Automobiles are therefore a huge source of potential injury, and even death. In the year 2001
alone, 37, 795 people lost their lives in automobile accidents in the United States. That is more
people than the populations of many small cities in America. In fact, that is over ten times more
lives lost than were lost in the horrible attack on the World Trade Center in 2001! On top of that,
over two million people were injured in automobile accidents in the same time frame.3 Neither of
these numbers includes the thousands of pedestrians who are killed or injured every year by
automobiles.

Given the risks involved in the use of automobiles much consideration should be given to how to best
make automobiles safer for humans. Often times, however, safety is not the first consideration in
automobile design. Some automobile manufacturers do not even look carefully at safety
considerations until a new product is sent down the crash test line and adjusted until it makes
government safety requirements. On the other hand, some manufacturers start car design with safety
as their first priority.

What Does Automobile Safety Have to Offer?
