Dreschler Hotel

Trend Analysis
I have reviewed the trend analysis for the Dreschler Hotel and competing hotels and find that in
comparison to the competing market, Dreschler is well within the numbers on average.
Occupancy rate as compared with like hotels appears to be almost par with an average of 99.3
index for the last six month period of 2005. This is stating that on average Dreschler is almost at
the same rate of occupancy as other competing hotels. The average daily room rate comes out to a
100.8 index which is stating that the rate being charged daily is at or above what other hotels in this
competing industry are charging. The same with ... Show more content on [Link] ...
Other areas of the establishment could be opened up more for private sitting time or just admiring
the beauty surrounding the lodge. Breakfast is served at the door of all rooms by 7 a.m. every
morning, and consists of cheeses, fresh fruits, juices, yogurts, and fresh baked pastries. I would like
to see a public dining area in the garden for those who wish to dine on their morning pastry and
coffee in the comfort of the morning sun.

Funding Options
There are several funding options available since we have no working capital. We could go public
and offer shares to raise money to invest into the modifications, but the problem with this is that
as a business owner you will not get to keep 100% of the profits; you will be paying your
shareholders a dividend. Equity investors will require a percentage of ownership as well as the
return on their investment. This can also wind up being costly down the road. Another option is to
acquire a loan, but most lending institutes will only lend 60% 70% of the requested amount
leaving the borrower having to raise the other 30% 40% in equity. This may not be a bad deal if the
equity investor does not demand a large portion of ownership and is patient on returns. Another
option is a 7(a) loan since they are the simplest and
Music and Poetry
Music and Poetry

The poetry of William Wordsworth initiated the Romantic Era by emphasizing emotion, intuition,
and pleasure rather than form and affectation. His poems set the stage for John Keats, a central
figure in early 19th century Romanticism. The fundamental themes in the works of both poets
include: the beauty of nature; the consanguinity of dreams/visions and reality and yet the tendency
of dreams to mask reality; the intense emotions brought about by beauty and/or suffering; and the
transience of both sensation and human life. Although William Wordsworth and John Keats wrote
poetry with entirely different senses of purpose, they came together in the worship of a song that
each found in nature. Both Wordsworth and Keats ... Show more content on [Link] ...
Wordsworth s persona in The Solitary Reaper explores the limitations of language as he watches
the maiden in the field, enthralled by her melancholy strain (6). Unable to know of what she
sings, he is forced to rely only on musical characteristics to influence his reaction. Such things as
tone, quality, audible key, and tempo make it possible for one to grasp the essence of music.
Although the maiden s words flow from her lips in Gaelic, the persona is able to identify the
emotions underlying her song from the melodic nature of the lines she sings. Will no one tell me
what she sings? Perhaps the plaintive numbers flow For old, unhappy, far off things . . . Or is it
some more humble lay, Familiar matter of to day? Some natural sorrow, loss, or pain, That has been,
and may be again?

Whate er the theme, the maiden sang As if her song could have no ending; (lines 17 25)

Wordsworth s persona s reliance on the melancholy sound of the maiden s song also forces him to
open his mind and his ears, leaving him free from any possible language based influence and
entirely enraptured by the sheer loveliness of the lass s simple, soul filled music.

John Keats wrote his Ode to a Nightingale in the typical style

Installing A System With Graphical Password Schemes
Since conventional password schemes are vulnerable to shoulder surfing, many shoulder surfing
resistant graphical password schemes have been proposed. However, as most users are more
familiar with textual passwords than pure graphical passwords, text based graphical password
schemes have been proposed. Unfortunately, none of existing text based shoulder surfing resistant
graphical passwordschemes is both secure and efficient enough. Here, we propose 4 D Password
scheme to make the existing scheme even more robust and powerful. We propose to different
authenticationscheme to one system, and this will lend more stability and make the attacks on user
privacy even more difficult to succeed in. We proposed a system with graphical password scheme,
Color code authentication, OTP based authentication, and Time Elapse Authentication scheme
composed as a 4 D Authentication system.

Today, although the password authentication is used widely, since users write their password directly
on screen and tend to make their password easy to remember, they may be vulnerable to several
attacks such as brute force, guessing, replay, and shoulder surfing. Although many authentication
schemes were proposed to improve the usability and security, they are still vulnerable to the shoulder
surfing attack. In this project, we propose a 4 D pattern based authentication scheme which is secure
against this attack. Also, we analyse the usability, deplorability, and security of the

A Room With A View by E.M. Forster and The Remains of the Day by Tovah Martin

A Room with a View and The Remains of the Day are two novels which involve journeys of
physical and spiritual discovery. The main characters of the stories are dissimilar in gender, age and
social status but both experience situations and encounters which challenge their perspectives and
personal values. The authors of these books have both included references to nature and landscape to
emphasize, mirror and reinforce the reactions and emotions of their characters.
They have also used nature and landscape to highlight key events.

A Room with a View was written in 1908 and the opening chapters are set in Florence, Italy, a
vibrant country, ... Show more content on [Link] ...
Eventually both ladies have their rooms with views and Lucy throws open her windows and admires
the lights dancing over the Arno, in sharp contrast to the cypresses and Apennines, black against
the rising room. This is like a metaphoric opening of Lucy s eyes and mind in preparation for the
adventures which await her. In addition, this black and white vignette is a romantic, idyllic view of
the Arno and is in contrast with the brightly coloured, sunlit scene of the following morning, which
is full of life, movement and noise, as the Italians go about their daily routines and Lucy views the
reality which is about to alter her world for ever.

By comparison, The Remains of the Day is set in the rolling countryside of England between the
two Wars. Stevens is the old butler at Darlington Hall and he has lived his life in service,
metaphorically confined within large, country houses. He has had a sheltered, privileged life,
gaining his knowledge of England from employers, guests, staff and books, especially The Wonder
of England by Mrs Jane Symons. His present employer, Mr Farraday, an American, observes that
you re always locked up in these big houses and encourages Stevens to get out and see this beautiful
country of yours . Stevens begins his journey along routes which surprised him due to their
familiarity . However, he soon experiences a sense of unease mixed with exhilaration as the
surroundings become unrecognizable.

Tempe Brennan Qualities
Men and women both possess similar attributes, but inevitably cannot portray each trait alike. Men
are often viewed to be stronger, to be more confident, and to be more courageous than their female
counterparts. This is especially a common perception while pursing a potentially dangerous career,
such as a firefighter, a police officer, or even a detective. Raymond Chandler, an American novelist
who has a particular interest in detective fiction, declares, the detective ... must be ... a man. He is a
hero, he is everything. He must be a complete man and a common man and yet an usual man
(Chandler). It is undeniable that Chandler views the work of detectives as only a suitable option for
a man, and that as a man successfully solves crime, he is... Show more content on [Link] ...
However, Tempe Chandler s definition is slightly challenged: Tempe is a woman, and he completely
ignores that such a detective does not have to be a man. Dr. Tempe Brennan is a forensic analyst
who specializes in the study of bones, but when murders increasingly occur in her city of
Montréal, she develops an interest in the cases and is eager to help to solve the crimes. Tempe s
readiness and dedication to work are qualities that Chandler holds vital to his definition of a
detective, and it is clear that Tempe possesses these traits from the beginning of the novel. When
Tempe first learns that a body has appeared mutilated and separated into trash bags, she cancels her
weekend plans because she knows that she is irresolute about [her] social life, obsessive in [her]
work (Reichs 2). Tempe s devotion drives her to a point where she cannot stop thinking about the
case. Unlike an ordinary detective who only works on a scheduled time, Tempe invests all of her
time in the case and even when she is not supposed to be working, she finds herself at her workplace
Within twenty minutes...[investigating], determined to accomplish something (Reichs 103). It is
clear that Tempe stops at nothing to find answers, which is an important trait in Chandler s

MADDOX V. MONTGOMERY United States Courts of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit 718 F.2d 1033
(11th Cir. 1983) Facts:

Jimmy Maddox was convicted of rape in a Georgia state court and sentenced to life imprisonment.
Having unsuccessfully pursued his direct appeal and the state post conviction remedy, Maddox filed
a federal habeas corpus petition alleging prosecutorial suppression of exculpatory evidence in
violation of the ... Show more content on [Link] ...
Maddox had appealed the denial of habeas relief.

Decision of the Court:

The United States Court of appeals ruled that the suppressed evidence is purely impeaching
evidence and no defense request has been made, the suppressed evidence is material only if its
introduction probably would have resulted in acquittal. Given a minor role of Phillips testimony and
the limited impact that Phelps statement had on the jury s assessment of Phillips credibility, Maddox
could not demonstrate that so the evidence probably would have resulted in an acquittal. Also, the
evidence was immaterial under United States [Link]; the defendant filed a joint motion to
suppress all physical evidence gathered by the officers and any statements made by the defendant.
The magistrate found that the defendant did not have to raise a fourth amendment challenge and its
suppression did not violate his (Maddox s) due process right. For ongoing reasons, the district court
s dismissal of Maddox s habeas petition was affirmed.

Reasoning of the Court:

The United States Court of Appeals first determined that Brady doctrine did not apply because the
Maddox defense team had not requested the information be disclosed. It was only after
unsuccessfully pursuing his direct appeal did he bring up this post conviction habeas corpus petition.
In the United States v. Agurs the Court stated that such a failure to

In case the lockerhirer has some genuine reasons as in the case of NRIs or persons who are out
of town due to a transferable job etc., banks may allow the locker hirer to continue with the
locker. In case the locker hirer does not respond nor operate the locker, banks should consider
opening the lockers after giving due notice to him. In this context, banks should incorporate a
clause in the locker agreement that in case the locker remains unoperated for more than one year,
the bank would have the right to cancel the allotment of the locker and open the locker, even if
the rent is paid regularly. (iii) Banks should have clear procedure drawn up in consultation with
their legal advisers for breaking open the lockers and taking stock of inventory. 3. Access to the
