The Alien And Sedition Acts Of 1798
The Alien and Sedition Acts of 1798, instituted by President John Adams, were a turning point in
American history. The Acts were the result of impending war with France, the French Revolution
had just started, France was in turmoil with all the fighting, America was a new country, trying to
find its footing and place in the world. President Adams was worried for the nation that the influx of
FRench immigrants as a result of the war would disrupt the balance and security of the nation. As a
result, Adams created the Alien and Sedition Acts, a series of laws on how aliens were treated and
how the populace of American society could speak and act towards the government. The Alien and
Sedition Acts instituted by Adams were unconstitutional and in direct violation of the Bill of Rights.

In 1798, war was brewing in France, the Revolution had been going for 9 years. But it had not just
affected France, but the world. America had been a new nation for over 20 years. At this time
President John Adams was the second president of the U. S., with Thomas Jefferson as Vice
President, as he lost the presedential election. Adams was a Federalist, through and through. He
wanted to model policies off of Great Britain, Federalists saw foreigners as a threat to national
security. Aos the Federalists hated the French Revolution because it led to mob rule and the
confiscation of property. Thomas Jefferson was a Democratic Republican, he loved France that they
were having their own democratic
What Is The Schlieffen Plan
This paper will examine and discuss the German Schlieffen Plan utilized during World War I. The
Schlieffen Plan was designed by Chief of the General Staff of the German Army Alfred von
Schlieffen, as a strategy for invading France, while also holding off Russia. Schlieffen wanted the
attack to be a swift and decisive strike to ensure that France would capitulate quickly, allowing
Germanyto send their forces on the French front over to the Russian front, combining their armies
into one force that could then invade Russia. One of the main points of the strategy, was that
Germany would go through Belgiumand attack France where it was weaker, instead of the Maginot
Line, which was heavily fortified. The army would then sweep around and take Paris.
Foolish Impulses In Romeo And Juliet
The famous english novelist (and [Link] s favorite writer), Jane Austen once said Every
impulse of feeling should be guided by reason (A Quote from Pride and Prejudice). Unlike Jane
Austen, the characters in the famous play by William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet do not have
a guided reason therefor resulting in their foolish impulse. In Romeo and Juliet, two families of
the same rank are enemies and have never gotten along, Capulet and Montague. Capulet and Lady
Capulet have a young daughter named Juliet while the Montague family has a son named Romeo.
At first sight the star cross d lovers ([Link].6) fall deeply in love resulting in the quick
decision of marriage which later turns into fatal downfall. In Romeo and Juliet, William
Shakespeare uses characterization to portray that adolescent behavior is marked by foolish
impulses. Romeo is enchanted with the first sight of Juliet is shown through his adolescent
experiences: If I profane with my unworthiest hand this holy shrine, the gentle fine is this: my lips,
two blushing pilgrims, ready stand to smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss (1.5.91 94). With
the first sight of Juliet, Romeo believes she is the most beautiful thing on earth. Romeo
determines that Juliet is better than him and he does not deserve someone as amazing as her.
Now Romeo is beloved and loves again, alike bewitched by the charm of looks ([Link].5 6).
Romeo is finally in love again after his heartbreak from Rosaline, a girl who
Brachii Research Paper
The biceps brachii arises from the scapula by two heads. The long (lateral head) arising from the
supraglenoid tubercle, descends within the capsule of the shoulder joint and lies in the
intertubercular groove. The short (medial head) arises from the coracoid process in common
with the coracobrachialis. The insertion is into the tuberosity of the radius (posterior part) and
the fascia of the forearm (and ultimately the ulna) by means of the bicipital aponeurosis. The
biceps and brachialis are the chief flexors of the forearm. The origin of the brachialis embraces
the insertion of the deltoid. The coracobrachialis is generally pierced by the musculocutaneous
nerve. The triceps brachii forms the bulk of the posterior arm. Its three heads are arranged in two
planes: the long and lateral heads occupy a superficial plane, whereas the medial head is deeper.
The radial nerve passes between the long and medial heads and then lies on the humerus under cover
of the lateral head. The long head separates the triangular from the quadrangular space and the teres
major from the teres minor. The triceps is the extensor of the forearm.... Show more content on

continuation of the radial nerve into the forearm. The deep branch winds laterally around the radius
between the layers of the supinator and continues as the posterior interosseous nerve to the muscles
of the posterior forearm. The median nerve, enters the forearm between the heads of the pronator
teres. The ulnar nerve, enters the forearm between the heads of the flexor carpi ulnaris and under a
tendonous arch formed between these
