The Pros And Cons Of Heroku
We believe that today the most value is in productivity and agility how fast you can hit the market,
how fast can you change and that s really all about developer s productivity and that s what Heroku
focuses on as an application platform, Heroku is an application platform that allows its developers
to push application code to the Heroku and then they run that code for the developers this is
basically what Heroku does, however Heroku does this in a dramatically different way than
traditional hosting or even cloud infrastructure are offering so instead of thinking about server as an

to use a third party service within Heroku platform and there are a lot of third party add ons
available on Heroku for the developers to consume third party services, these services can be any
thing from low level services like databases for example MySql, Sql, mongo etc. and then there are
high level services like new relic a performance monitoring and management, SSL, email, DNS etc.
these are all services developers can access with one click.
Heroku has change the way of deploying the application, before Heroku deveopers had to buy

configuration for even a slight scaling and then write the application on top of that, it was surely a
lengthy and tricky process but now developers only need to think and create there application and

My Passion In Sports
My passion is playing sports. I have always been athletic as I grew up playing all different types
of sports. I did gymnastics, basketball, and I continue to play on multiple soccer teams. However
,I have become a lot more passionate about track and field. Track and field is more of a laid back
sport compared to others as it goes on in an order of events. The events I participate in are various
sprinting events and the pole vault. Pole vault is my favorite of the two events because there are
not many people who compete and it is like a little family amongst competitors. My teammates and
I have a lot of fun hanging out and cheering each other on. Along with the people I also enjoy the
competition and the thrill of beating your personal record whether it is in a race or in pole vault.
I pole vaulted for the first time when I was ten years old. My neighbor, who coincidently is the pole
vault at the high school, invited my brother, my neighbors and I to try it one day during the
summer. I ended up not being horrible at it so when I got to high school I figured I would try it
again and see how it went. It went very well. My neighbor who is the pole vault coach is now
very old so he is not able to make it to practice very often. The pole vaulters and I do have the head
coach of the whole track team assist us from time to time but mostly we all, the four of us that is,
critique and help each other reach new heights, literally, when we vault. My teammates are my most

Trade Routes Dbq
Trade has been an important commodity since the settlement of mankind. Trade routes as the Silk
Road, Turquoise Road, and Gold Road have connected communities and countries throughout the
continents. Trading doesn t always involve commodities; trading can include technology, disease,
and religion. Early global tradeexperienced wealth and prosperity because of the demand for
goods, knowledge of the sellers, and expanding trade routes. When it comes to trading, supply and
demand are a key factor, as seen in Document 1, trade routes reach worldwide. Traders travel from
place to place buying and selling their goods to take to new markets as seen in Document 4. Like in
the Silk Road, the demand of silk from the west encourage trade between China
Animal Cloning Debate Essay
Animal Cloning Debate
A clone is a genetic copy of another living organism animal, plant or human. Animal cloning is a
widely discussed issue in our society today. The question now is whether the Australian government
should ban animal cloning. Many opinions are generated from this subject, such as the justifiability
of cloning, and how far it should go. Religious views are prevalent, so too are numerous ethical
concerns. The issue of whether or not the government should ban cloning has gained progressive
attention, as the science of animal cloning is further perfected.
BIOLOGICAL BACKGROUND
Animal cloning is the process of creating a biological replicate of another organism with the ... Show

The donour nucleus can be obtained from embryonic cells that are differentiated into the skin, heart,
brain and various other organs.
Success rates are very low, with an average of only 1 2% of cloned embryos that lead to a
successful clone. Losses occur at all stages of the cloning process. Some cloned embryos do not
develop in general, some fail to implant and a high proportion of fetuses die late in pregnancy or
soon after birth. Cloned mice have the tendency to be obese and tend to learn more slowly. Many
cloned animals have deformities such as an abnormally large size, which endangers the lives of the
surrogate mothers carrying them. The causes of the low success rate of cloning are uncertain, but it
is likely that it is due to the inadequate reprogramming of the genes of the adult cell by the
unfertilized egg.
SOCIAL RELEVANCE
There will be many different impacts on society if the government s decides to ban, or not to ban
animal cloning. A better knowledge of these impacts can be obtained by discussing the good and bad
of animal cloning. One application of the cloning technique is by cloning genetically modified
animals, so that their cells and organs can be transplanted into humans. Thousands of patients die as
a result of the unavailability of human organs for transplantations and this cloning technique could
potentially be a solution within the medical
Loss In The Book Of Negroes
Loss is Strong but Memories are Powerful. In the novel The Book of Negroes written by
Lawrence Hill loneliness and love plays an important role in the character development of
Aminata Diallo who is the main character of this novel. This novel emphasizes the loss of the
people Aminata loves most and how she works through the losses of her loved ones with the
memories of these people to help her cope with the losses. Loss is a powerful thing that everyone
faces at least once in their lifetime. Aminata shares the struggles of these losses, how it affects her
life, how it makes her fight for what she believes in and makes her become a strong independant

An example of this is when Aminata says I had no idea what had become of my husband or
where he was, but I still believed that if he was still alive and if he was able, he would one day

Chekura is still alive that he would find her and until then she will raise their child and keep her
safe. Hill also wants to show that women don t need the help of a man or any person to be
successful in life and Aminata is one successful person that is not afraid to stand up for what she

The Visualization Of The Small Bowel
Abstract The visualization of the small bowel has posed a challenge to gastroenterologists due to
the difficulty of physically reaching more distal regions of the small bowel anatomically. As the
small bowel can often be a source of pathology, endoscopy of the small bowel can be a useful
diagnostic and therapeutic technique. Over the last few years enteroscopies has been introduced
and being used widely. Various types of enteroscopies are being used; among them the most
commonly used are double balloon, single balloon and spiral enteroscopies. In this dissertation, I
am focusing and comparing among the three to find which one is having highest diagnostic and
therapeutic benefits. Objective: To assess the invasive enteroscopic technique with maximum
diagnostic and therapeutic yield, for common small bowel diseases like OGIB, small bowel crohn
s and polyps. Methods: Online electronic search of databases Medline, CIHNAL, EMBASE,
citation searching, the relevant literatures, carefully selected keywords (enteroscopy, Single balloon
enteroscopy, double balloon enteroscopy, spiral enteroscopy) and its appropriate combinations were
used. Further the citation searching was done to identify more relevant literatures. Results: From the
1035 articles, selected from 2001 to 2015, six articles were selected after excluding the relevant
criteria s and those were critically apprised and compared to get comprehensive results. Conclusion:

Persuasive Speech On Soda
Introduction
Have you ever feel like wanting to lose weight? There is one simple thing you can do in your life
that can help you lose weight. Besides losing weight, doing this one simple thing can avoid many
health disasters and will help your body to become healthier! What is this one simple thing, you
may ask? The answer is, to stop drinking soda.
Thesis Statement
Throwing soda away from your life will help to change your life and makes your body healthier
than when you are consuming them. In this paper, after we examine its harmful ingredients, and the
specific ways it can hurt your health, you ll see why you should stop consuming soda. Then, we ll
explore the healthier alternatives to soda that we can drink every day.
Main point #1: Ingredients in Average Soda Drink
Firstly, to understand the real issue with soda we must first look at the ingredients that are
contained in an average soda drink. Most average soda contains these few basic ingredients which
are carbonated water, natural flavor, caramel color, phosphoric acid and high fructose corn syrup.
The first few ingredients in an average soda are harmless. Carbonated water is plain water infused
with carbon dioxide, which creates the bubbles and the gassy feeling we get while drinking soda.
Natural flavors are often of the citrus variety and added for taste while caramel color is a natural
additive that gives the color of food products.
Besides, the next two ingredients are not so harmless. Phosphoric acid is a chemical that adds a
tangy or sour flavor by breaking down starches into sugar, and sugar is one thing we should avoid.
The reason for avoiding sugar is reported in the USDA s Dietary Guidelines (2010) for Americans.
Those who drink beverages with a lot of sugar tend to drink more calories than those who don t
drink sugar saturated drinks.
This then leads to the connection between consuming sugar filled drinks and weight gain. Starches
aren t the only source of sugar. Another ingredient in soda that we should be concerned about is high
fructose corn syrup. This specific ingredient is included because it is an alternative form of
sweetener that is cheaper than anything else. Besides, it is also one of the single worst ingredients in
the food
The Effects of Sports Teams and Stadiums on Cities Essay
The Effects of Sports Teams and Stadiums on Cities
What if a tax increase came to a city because of a sports team, would it be alright? Of course not,
right? Well, consider being told as a tax payer and being told it will help the economy of city to
build a stadium. However, a tax increase is never highly looked upon, and large companies sell
extraordinary economic growth, and cannot produce the promise. Area political leaders, local
community heads as well as owners of professional sports franchise sometimes claim that a pro

In the United States, new sports stadiums are commonly seen as a vital part of the redevelopment
of a city having a great economic growth with the production of jobs and a positive income builder.
After this, the owners of the pro sports teams with millions and millions of dollars of subsidies for
the construction of new stadiums and arenas and expect these facilities to generate economic
benefits exceeding these subsidies by large margins. However, a growing body of fact indicates that
professional sports facilities, and the franchises they are home to, may not be engines of economic
benefit anywhere claims Sachse, . In reality, sports franchises typically account for a very small
proportion of the total economic output of the cities in which they reside. Some economical studies
on the amount of income and employment in US cities find no evidence of positive economic
benefits associated with past sports facility construction and some studies find that professional
sports facilities and teams have a net negative economic impact on income and employment. It just
shows that these results suggest that at best, professional sports teams and facilities provide non
pecuniary benefits like civic pride, and a greater sense of community, along with consumption
benefits to those attending games and following the local team in the media; at worst, residents
Informative Essay On Mexican Food
A lot of Americans think they know Mexican food. An occasional trip down to Taco Bell,
Chipotle or Baja Fresh is the limit of most people s education. Why go any further? What is there
to know beyond nachos drizzled with cheese and jalapenos, tacos soaked full of beef and sour
cream and burritos, approaching the size of infant children, stuffed full of pork and cooked in a
deep fryer? Sadly, calling this Mexican food is a bit more than just a stretch. It s pretty much an
embellishment from top to bottom. Do you honestly think most Mexicans eat this type of cuisine
that Americans flock towards?
Authentic Mexican cuisine shares similar roots to much of the Mexican American and Tex Mex
foods that appeals to residents of the United States. Nevertheless, there are plenty of differences
between what s authentic and what s familiar. Here is a brief rundown of some of the history behind
Mexico s worldwide renowned cuisine. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The staple of this culinary culture was the corn tortilla, the tomato and the bean. All three of these
products, black beans, tomatoes and corn, are indigenous to the new world and are authentically
Mexican. Typical Mexican culinary fare before the arrival of the Europeans consisted of dishes
heavy on these ingredients cooked in the open air markets of the Aztecs over an open fire. Tomatillos
were also important ingredients that, along with the tomatoes, initially repelled many Europeans
because of their resemblance and lineage to a common poison plant called

A Child s Purity: Further from Death, but Closer to Heaven.
Throughout the recorded history of the Christian religion, countless writings, both canonical and non
canonical, have been discovered and translated. As is the issue with most religious texts, scholars
fiercely engage each other s interpretations and opinions regarding these texts. The Gospel of
Thomas is no different. Considered Gnostic by some and canon by others, the Gospel of Thomas is
a collection of sayings that were spoken by the living Jesus, and recorded by Didymos Judas Thomas.
Throughout the length of the text, there are a number of common themes; the most notable being
the idea that the people look to Jesus ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Satiating the lust of the flesh is frowned heavily upon in most religions. Because Adam and Eve
gave into this temptation, all humans are born with some semblance of the original sin.
However, the blank slate nature of a child is as close to perfect as one can hope to be. Many of
Jesus s sayings in the Gospel of Thomas suggest that children, babies in particular, have
everything they need to be almost perfect; for they are born with that of the light of the Father,
and therefore hold some divinity (Litwa, 2015). Jesus tells his disciples that circumcision is not
useful, for if it was, the Father would have made babies circumcised. Jesus says congratulations to
the poor and the meek, for the Heaven s Kingdom shall belong to them. A child a baby is nothing
if it is not poor and meek. A child has done nothing, earned nothing, and truly cannot be anything
other than poor, and meek. It is with age, and sin, that a child loses their sight of the path to
Heaven. At several points in the text, Jesus talks about the intrinsic war between father and son,
and the necessary hatred for one s parents. It is entirely possible that Jesus could be describing the
struggle that a good child faces in attempting to separate themselves from their parents, who have
become old and deep in sin. Jesus speaks of an anecdote about a slave being unable to sever two
masters, for he would be
How The Application Of Roy s Theory Of Adaptation Model...
Congestive heart failure (CHF) is the leading cause of hospitalization among patients older than 65
year of age. Annually, greater than 1 million patients are hospitalized with a primary diagnosis of
heart failure, accounting for a total Medicare expenditure exceeding $17 billion (Desai Stevenson,
2012). Heart failure (HF) occurs when cardiac output is insufficient to provide adequate blood flow
to meet metabolic and circulatory demands (Houston, Kalathiya, Kim, Zakaria, 2015). Despite
dramatic improvement in outcomes with medical therapy, admission rates following heart failure
hospitalization remain high, with greater than or equal 50% patients readmitted to hospitalwithin 6
months of discharge (Desai Stevenson, 2012). Mortality in Heart Failure is high, approaching
20% at 1 year and 50% at 4 years (Rickenbacher et al., 2012). The purpose of this paper is to
evaluate how the application of Roy s theory of adaptation model can decrease hospital
readmissions and mortality in patients with heart failure. The Roy adaptation model (RAM) is an
appropriate guide when providing nursing practice care for patients with chronic diseases such as
heart failure (Bakan Akyol, 2007). The use of Roy s theory can show interventions of how patients
can adapt to their condition and how it can decrease hospital readmission and mortality in patients
with heart failure. Therefore, the content of this paper will examine the application of RAM applied
to heart failure patients.

Analysis Of Truman Capote s Cold Blood
To judge is to irreparably arbitrate; the judged seldom find recourse if an error lies in the judge s
logic. In criminal proceedings, the courts judge alleged criminals and deliver verdicts. A frequently
encountered issue is determining guilt. Critics of the de facto court system cite moral culpability as
an ideal that the courts fail to attain. Priding its moral superiority, the United States surprisingly
lacks some of the basic rights to justice afforded to others elsewhere. America purports to have a
duty to serve justice, yet the justice system provides little leeway to those whose crimes are not their
fault. This notion of unfulfilled justice appears in In Cold Bloodby Truman Capote. When Dick and
Perry commit murder, the circumstances are such that Perry cannot be entirely accountable for the
actions he took. Perry bears no responsibility for the crimes he committed; storied psychological
illnesses and pitfalls compromised his sense of right and wrong, rendering him incapable of
intervening in his planned crime with Dick.
Perry never enjoyed to a hospitable, supportive family environment. Tragedy filled his early
years, spoiling his innocent view of the world too early. Evidence of this broken family life is
most evident in the commentary of Perry s sister. When asked about Perry, Perry s sister states that
She had said she was afraid of Perry, and she was, but was it simply Perry she feared [and]...the
