The Sniper By Liam O Flaherty
Written in 1923 by Liam O Flaherty, The Sniper is a gruesome short story that is narrated in the
third person point of view. I decided to analyze this short story because this introduction had
caught my attention unlike other short stories that I had read. I enjoy to read stories that are
exciting and give you thrilling rush to keep reading. I enjoy reading mystery, warfare, and horror
novels, because you really never know how much the plot can deviate, that can relate to action
thrilling movie genre, as well as O Flaherty imaginative use of technique that the best of his
reliance reflects in his writings. Liam O Flaherty was born in distant village in Gort na gCapall, on
Inis Mor which is one of the few Aran islands, living a very... Show more content on [Link]

This is where I can see that the author is transitioning a calm night into the war thrilling story it is,
who would risk their life to smoke a cigarette? Anyways, the reader doesn t fully comprehend why
the soldier decided to take the slightly risk of being spotted. Before he knew it Almost immediately,
a bullet flattened itself against the parapet of the roof , the narrator begins to explain that the soldiers
heart beat faster wanting to do something but can t because it was useless against the armoured
vehicle(Paragraph 4, line 2). At this point the reader can sense the amount of adrenaline going
through his body, the narrator explains that he s swore softly and then crawled away to the left and
now he s on full alert looking for the shooter(Paragraph 4 line 4). Honestly believing that he had
risked his life to smoke a cigarette, yet then the reader can understand that the risk is worth it in the
war. The reader can imagine what the soldier is going through in their head, this helps the readers
understand the emotions in the stories without it actually being said. The tone is practically
exhilarating and dramatic as the narrator navigates the main character through the story, until the
very end where all the odds turned against him. The narrator made his act of survival as defensible
and inevitable for doing what he had to do, He became bitten by remorse and cursing the war,
cursing himself, cursing everybody shows that main character is going through
Taking a Look at Bitcoin
Introduction I thought of writing a paper on Bitcoin because this is a very interesting topic and
everyone tries to get into it, I will try to make this topic understandable by writing it in laymen s
language. Thanks to Professor Dr. Burnham who has given me this opportunity to write a paper
on Bitcoin. According to the name of Bitcoin when we first hear this word Bitcoin we create
image in our mind that there would be some coin kind of thing but there is no coin it is only a
digital currency. Bitcoin is a peer to peer payment system introduced as open source software in
2009 by developer Satoshi Nakamoto. Although it does not meet the generally recognized
definition of money, the digital currency created and used in the system is alternatively referred
to as a virtual currency, electronic money, or cryptocurrency. The bitcoin system is not controlled
by a single entity, like a central bank, which has led the US Treasury to call bitcoin a
decentralized currency.[1] US government is flexible in promoting Bitcoin while China
government does not allow bitcoin at all. This is actually not easy for any country to accept the
challenges involved in Bitcoin but still Bitcoin has launched its first ATM in Singapore because
Singapore is a very small country and it easy to manage if there will be any kind of issue faced at
any point of time there. How does bitcoin work? Whenever you initiate a payment using Bitcoin, it
simply means in bitcoin network that amount in your account
False Memory Analysis
False Memories

Anderson asks a very good question, Are our memories truly forgotten? When we cannot retrieve
information, do these forgotten memories still exist? As per Anderson, an analysis performed by
Nelson, expresses that 75% had the capacity to review a things that when given a number sign
following two weeks, and reviewed 78% of the unaltered things and 43% of the changed. There are
still memories that are stored in one s brain even when it seems like they are forgotten (Anderson,
2015).
The cerebrum neurons are fit for transforming, it reaction to experience. The neural pliancy gives the
premise to memory, the territory of the mind that commitments to memory and having a real part in

Having reliable memories in case of child abuse or rape is very crucial to a cases. In a case the
lawyers are depending on one having, reliability memories and that they are contested (Otgaar,

recalling of memory are very important, because memory recollection are often the determining
if the suspect is convicted (Otgaar et al., 2013). There have been studies have suggested
memories on to children and adults. Children are more likely to induce these types of memories.
These false memories are either misinformation or implantation. When an adult or a child reply on
associative activation process the suggestion based false memories increase with age. (Otgaar et
al., 2013). Otgaar, concluded that children are more vulnerable to memory impressions than
adults, but have a lower accuracy rate than adults, There is a higher false memory level with
children than adults when viewing videos with themes like; street fighting, party. The Deese

National FFA Convention
National FFA Convention Twas the night before the 87th National FFA Convention. My bags
were packed with my official dress for the days ahead and you would think I have already been there
because I already couldn t what to go back. . As I try to go to sleep concerts, rodeos, and shopping

We arrived at Marengo Cave at first I was worried about everything and anything about what could
happen in the cave but once we went in it was awesome making memories, getting to learn about
the caves history plus the charity they donate to, the beauty and a few cave jokes. One of the
memories was when Gage and I were walking down this little incline (the incline was wet) Gage
and I were walking about the time I slip I tried to hold on to Gage but then he slips but we caught
ourselves. There is this one part of the cave where there is wet mud and people throw change to
try to get it to stick and they tell people to not take any money because at the end of the year they
collect the money for charity. The tour guide told us about two hundred feet under ground not to
worry about the cave falling on us because if it did
Elements Of Catholicism And Voodoo
A religion can be defined as a system of belief that manifest, to some degree, the following eight
elements: belief system, community, central myths, ritual, ethics, characteristic emotional
experience, material expression, and sacredness. Depending on the religion, some of these elements
may carry more weight than others. I will look at Catholicism and Voodoo and the role some of
these elements play within these systems of belief.
Catholicism is a monotheistic religion believing that God is the Creator of all that is. We must love
and serve God in our daily life, through prayer and good works, in order to achieve salvation. The
element of central myths plays a large role within the Catholic faith, as the Bible is the core of

Eucharist is when we receive the body and blood of Christ through the symbols of bread and wine.
It further extends the initiation that took place at baptism to enter fully into the heart of Christian
faith through participation in the Eucharist ([Link],2017). Confirmation is the final step of
initiation. It is receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit that unites us more firmly with Christ and
strengthens our bond with the Church. The remaining four Sacraments guide us through the rest
of our life. The Sacrament of Penance is received regularly to confess our sins and seek
forgiveness so that we may remain in God s grace. The Sacrament of Marriage takes place when
two people commit to spend the rest of their life together, anointing of the sick is when a priest
anoints a sick person with oil and offers prayers, and Holy Orders is the sacrament that takes place
with the ordination of a bishop, priest, or deacon into ministry (Molloy, M., 2010).
Voodoo is also a monotheistic religion that combines Catholic and African beliefs and is often
surrounded by many misconceptions. Voodoo has been portrayed by the media as a form of devil
worship and curses, with Voodoo dolls being used to inflict pain on one s enemies (ancient
[Link]). It is practiced primarily in Haiti, New Orleans, and the Caribbean. This religion is
several hundred years old, dating back to when African slaves were brought to America from Haiti.
They were not allowed to practice their African
Primary Reading Mastery
Primary School d/Dhh Students Trezek and Wang (2006) evaluated the effectiveness of utilizing the
Reading Mastery I program (Engelmann Brunner, 1995) supplemented by Visual Phonics with
kindergarten and first grade d/Dhh students. Three teachers in a Total Communication program and
13 students were included in the study that lasted over 8 months. Students degree of hearing loss
ranged from severe to profound, and two of the first graders wore cochlear implants. Students were
divided into three groups based on their age for instructions. The pre posttest achievement of students
was documented. A word reading test was administered to both kindergarteners and first graders
whereas pseudoword decoding and reading comprehension tests were only used for first graders. The
results showed that the word reading subtest scores were statistically significant (from pretest to
posttest), and the effect... Show more content on [Link] ...
Three preschoolers who had various degrees of hearing loss were scanned. The philosophy of
education was Total Communication. The 40 weeks of intervention (50 week in one case)
approximately an hour a week was delivered. During the interventions, the Reading Mastery I (2008)
curriculum supplemented with Visual Phonics and smart board technology was used. Researchers
found that all the students demonstrated significant improvements. The results showed that all
participants demonstrated at least some use of phonemic awareness and phonics skills when they
were explicitly trained, and that these skills were sustained in early elementary school. Furthermore,
all participants exhibited overall reading levels at or above age level when measured in early
elementary school (p. 107). Because of the limitations with generalization, the researchers
recommended further research to confirm outstanding results of this
The Aristotelian Conceptualization Of Self Sufficiency
Before comparison of different contexts of self sufficiency, it is necessary to understand how the
Aristotelian conceptualization of self sufficiency merges itself with the political aspect of virtuous
life. In the examination of the nature of human beings and of the magnanimous man, self sufficiency
in a fuller sense is revealed to be inherently political. In defining happiness, Aristotlefirst also
clarifies self sufficiency itself not by reference to the self alone. We do not mean a man who lives
in isolation, but a man who also lives with... fellow citizens generally (NE I.7 1097b8 11). This
expanded understanding of self sufficiency, while initially and potentially paradoxical, rather does
little more than begin to redefine self sufficiency as a quality that can be possessed by more than
isolated hermits. It is not until the discussion of the high minded man that this expanded self
sufficiency becomes political in nature. The magnanimous man will requite good with a greater
good , putting himself in the recipients debt in order to repay disproportionately. Additionally, this
high minded man is a person who will rather possess beautiful and profitless objects than objects
which are profitable and useful, for they mark him more as self sufficient (NE IV.3 1124b11 13;
1125a11 12). Oddly, self sufficiency is characterized by excess rather than mere contentment. This
Aristotelian self sufficiency is counter intuitive in two ways. Firstly in that it requires more
