Title: The Missing Trophy
Characters:
Alex – The team captain, serious and organized
Jamie – The class clown, funny and dramatic
Riya – The logical one, always asking questions
Tina – The quiet one, but very observant
Sam – The forgetful one, always in their own world
---
Setting:
A school auditorium after a quiz competition. A trophy is missing!
---
Script:
(Curtains open. Everyone enters the empty auditorium, looking confused.)
Alex:
Where is it?! It was right here on this table!
Jamie:
You mean the golden, shiny, expensive, beautiful, sparkly trophy?
Riya:
Yes, Jamie. The one we won 20 minutes ago. Where did it go?
Sam:
(waiting)
…Wait. We won?
Tina:
(softly)
Yes. And now it’s missing.
Alex:
Someone must have taken it. We need to figure this out before Principal Rao comes back.
Jamie:
Oh no! It’s a mystery! I always wanted to be Sherlock Holmes.
(puts on imaginary hat)
Elementary, my dear… classmates!
Riya:
Enough with the drama. Let’s think. Who was here last?
Tina:
We all were. But Sam left for a bit.
Sam:
(surprised)
I did? Oh right! I went to get a samosa. It was worth it.
Alex:
Did you take the trophy with you?
Sam:
Why would I take a trophy to eat a samosa?
Jamie:
Maybe you were hungry for victory! (laughs)
Riya:
Okay, let’s check our bags.
(Everyone opens their bags. Tina suddenly pulls out something shiny.)
Tina:
Uh… guys?
Alex:
The trophy! Why is it in your bag, Tina?
Tina:
I didn’t take it! I think… I saw Sam put it there.
Sam:
Me?! I put it in your bag?
Tina:
You said, “Hold this for me,” and handed me something shiny while running off.
Jamie:
So… you stole it without knowing you stole it?
Sam:
I guess I did a... trophy transfer.
Riya:
This is ridiculous. But at least we found it.
Alex:
And just in time. Principal Rao is coming!
Jamie:
Quick, everybody! Act normal!
(They all freeze in exaggerated “normal” poses as curtain closes.)
---
(Curtain Call – Everyone bows and waves.)
