"The Metro Man: E.

Sreedharan’s Journey"
Now featuring: Aarav – The Curious student
Opening lines
Narrator:
Welcome to the true story of a man who built more than bridges and trains…
He built trust. He built India’s pride.
This is the story of E. Sreedharan, the man who showed us that with courage and
discipline, nothing is impossible.

Opening lines finished

🌊 Scene 1: The Pamban Bridge Challenge

Narrator:
Our journey begins in the year 1964, just after a terrible cyclone has hit southern
India.
A bridge has fallen. Hope seems lost.
But one young engineer dares to dream the impossible.

[Scene opens in the railway office, papers flying, storm aftermath.]

Messenger:
Sir! The cyclone has destroyed the Pamban Bridge! We’re completely cut off from
Rameswaram!

Officer Menon:
It’ll take six months to fix. People will suffer.

Aarav:
Six months? Isn’t there any way to fix it faster?

E. Sreedharan (looking out the window, calmly):

There is. We fix it in 45 days.

Officer Menon:
What? That’s impossible!

Aarav:
But sir, how will we do it so fast?

E. Sreedharan:
With discipline, teamwork, and zero delays. We work day and night. Every hour
counts.

Anand:
I’m with you, sir. Let’s make it happen!

Aarav:Let’s do it—for the people of Rameswaram!

🚆 Scene 2: Delhi Metro – Big Dreams, Big Problems

Scene opens with a meeting. Everyone is tense.]

Narrator:
Many years have passed.
Sreedharan is no longer young—but his spirit is stronger than ever.
Now, a bigger challenge awaits him—Delhi, one of the busiest cities in the world.
The people need a Metro.
The leaders want it fast.
But Sreedharan? He wants it right.

Let’s see what happens when honesty meets pressure, and vision meets obstacles.

Minister:
People are complaining! The Metro is taking too long. Just finish it—even if it’s
not perfect!

Contractor:
Let’s use cheaper material. No one will notice.

Aarav:
Sir, wouldn’t that be risky?

Narrator:
While others looked for shortcuts,
Sreedharan stood tall—quiet, firm, and focused.
He was not afraid to say NO to corruption.
Because he knew that even if the journey is hard, doing the right thing is always
worth it.

E. Sreedharan:
Yes, Aarav. And I will never allow it.
The Metro must be safe, clean, and strong—even if it takes more time.

Officer Jain:
But the elections are coming. They want to cut the ribbon fast.

E. Sreedharan:
Let them wait. I won’t cheat the people. Not even once.

Aarav:
I want to build like you, sir. With honesty.

E. Sreedharan:
And you will. That’s how India will grow.

🌟 Scene 3: Final Speech – The Message

Narrator:
Sreedharan’s mission is complete… but his message is just beginning.
He’s inspired a new generation—young people like Aarav, who now stand ready to
carry the Indian railway system ahead.
Before we end, listen closely to the man who taught a nation how to move forward—
not just on trains, but with values.

E. Sreedharan:
People say I am a builder. But really, I am a believer.
I believe in hard work, in discipline, and in India.

I never worked for awards. I worked for people.

Today, we ride the Metro not just on tracks…
But on trust, effort, and honest dreams.
Aarav:
Sir, what advice would you give young people like me?

E. Sreedharan:
Work hard. Do the right thing, even when it’s hard.
And always… always build with heart.

Narrator:
He didn’t build to be famous.
He built to make life better—for all of us.
So next time you step into a Metro…
Remember the man who dreamed it, designed it, and delivered it—with honesty and
heart.

This was the story of E. Sreedharan,

The Metro Man of India.
Thank you.
