Earthing Work
1 Check approved shop drawing is being followed for earhting work.
Check that the sleeve level and thickness of the pipes / earthing rod are
2 in accordance with the approved Technical Data Sheets (TDS) / GA
drawings / Shop drawing.
Check the sizes of the earthing Strip / Wire / Cable are in accordance
3 with the approved Technical Data Sheets (TDS) / GA drawings / Shop
drawing.
Check that the Level, Location of earthing pits and sizes of the earth
4 bars are in accordance with the specifications and approved shop
drawings.
Check that all earthing chamber covers are properly installed as per
5
approved shop drawing.
Check the connection(s) of earthing Strip/wire/cable is being properly
6
connected to earthing rod electrode.
Check that all installed cable trays, trunking, and equipments are
7 properly equi-potentially bonded as per standard practice and project
specifications.
Check that earthing strip/wire/cable is being properly connected to
8
equipment as per project specification and approved shop drawing.
Check if earthing resistance resistance value is less than 1 Ohm and all
9
earthing pits earth value report is being submitted.
Check Earth Continuity test for all metal parts and equipment of
10
building.

Fabricated bracket provided as per manufacturer's

recommendation.
15 Fixture is secured tightly on the bracket.
Light fixture is vertically in plumb and properly aligned
16
with the wall.

Cable laid in the ground
10 Before laying the cable ensure trench depth is as per spec. (min
750mm for LT & 900mm for HT)
11 All debris, filth and rocks removed from the trench.
12 Sand bedding and brick lining is done as per details in the shop drawing
/ spec.
13 Ensure Cables laid on sand bed side by side, no crossing of cables.
14 Backfilling done with soft soil, remove stones, filth debris from the soil.
15 Cable markers provided at every 10mtrs and at every change of
direction OR as indicated in a drawing.
16 Megger the cable after laying is over.

GENERAL
9 Surface finish of DB cabinet is good , no scratches, damages, dents etc., noticed.

12 DB location is as per the approved shop drawings or as per the consultants` approval.
13 Plumb, square etc., of DB installed are proper ( verified with spirit level )
14 If any dead cement mortar inside DB, it is removed and appearance is clean and tidy.
15 DB is covered with Polythene sheet prior to installation or erection
16 DIN rails are fixed up rigidly and firmly.
17 All the MCBs are fixed up tightly to the DIN rails.
18 The rating of MCBs is correct and it is as per the specification
19 Dressing of wires is done properly phase wise and appearance is neat and tidy.
20 Neutral link and terminal blocks are in place and these are fixed up to the DB rigidly and firmly.
21 Earthing is done for the DB, routing is done properly, General appearance is neat and tidy.
22 All the conduits are terminated into DB properly neatly, no excessive conduiting is done than the envisaged.
23 The adaptor box is fixed up neatly, properly and the end caps are in tact.
