Q2. Why did the battle of Badr happen?
Ans: The Quraysh wanted to destroy the Muslims once for all. They did not want to leave idol
worship so under the pretext that they were going to protect the caravan of Abu Sufyan, they left
Makkah and marched towards Madinah. Although the caravan reached safely but they did not go
back and the Muslims had to face the challenge.
Q3. What are the lessons we learn from the battle of Badr?
Ans: 1- Victory comes only with the help of Allah.
2- Obeying the leadership and the unity are the tools of victory.
3- We should be ready to sacrifice our lives to save our country and faith.
Q4. How did the Muslim deal with the captives.
Ans: 70 non-believers were captured in the battle of Badr. It was decided that those who could
pay ransom they should be freed after taking the ransom and those who were unable to pay, they
would teach the Muslim. Those who were unable to pay and teach they were freed without any
condition. They were dealt politely and kindly.

Ans: A martyr is someone who sacrifices his life in defense of his religion, country, land and
honor.

Ans: Prophet (s.a.w.) defended Madinah in the battle of Badr, Uhad and Ahzaab. He and his
companions did their best and even many companions sacrificed their lives to defend their
