1. Why spirituality as the offshoot of Religion?
Spirituality is a subset of religion, there is going to be some overlap between
the two, just as there is between the egg and the chicken. First and foremost,
both believe in a greater power. Second, both religion and spirituality yearn for a
connection to this greater force. Thirdly, rituals and practices are found in both
religion and spirituality. Fourthly, both revere the holy and the otherworldly.
Finally, both are afraid of failing. An Example of this would be Religions believe in
God the Father, Jesus, Allah, Brahman, and Tao, among others. Spirituality may also
believe in this God or see God as a global or fundamental energy. Both think that such
an entity holds power much superior to our own. Philippines has many religions
regardless the place they are in. However, an increasing number of individuals
are discovering that religion alone cannot satisfy their profound need for a better
life. As a result, people looked for something more profound and better than
religion. This was discovered via spirituality.
2. What is Spiritual Intelligence?
Spiritual intelligence is described as the ability to ponder the ultimate
purpose of existence and the interconnected nature of our interaction with the
world around us. Individuals' psychological well-being improves as well as
their ability to achieve a life objective. It's not the greatest moment to ask for a
salary increase or present a fresh concept to someone who looks like they had a
fight with their wife before going into the workplace that morning. Spiritual
intelligence, or SQ, is the foundation for IQ and EQ. Spiritual intelligence helps
increase our awareness of our life purpose and the values hierarchy. The more
we understand the interconnectedness of all forms of life, the more strength
we have in being a wise and effective change agent.
3. Why emotional intelligence and moral intelligence are so closely linked in
spirituality?
Spirituality is strongly connected by emotional and moral intelligence because
they impact and intersect with other aspects of overall well-being. Emotional
intelligence is all about cultivating a positive mentality that helps you to
recognize and accept a connection to something larger than yourself. This
enables you to connect with your true potential and gain spirituality, or the inner
knowledge that shines through. Knowing one's emotions and dealing with them
in a healthy way that respects all parties involved is what emotional intelligence
implies. Moral intelligence is described as the ability to make rational and
empathetic distinctions between right and wrong. It's the ability to hold strong
ethical beliefs and act on them constructively. It enables one to behave properly
and honorably. Meanwhile, spirituality is the bedrock of self-existence, the unified
core of an individual's external and internal variables that allows each act of life
to be imbued with higher moral, intellectual, or religious qualities. A guy who is
"spiritual" develops his own individuality, self-sufficiency, and self-worth. As a result,
spirituality implies the individual's autonomy, in which man ascends, rises to these
ideals, and realizes them in his life journey as he builds his spirituality. Then comes the
development of conscience, or the highest degree of morality, which determines a
person's spiritual world and culture. In this situation, man's emotional and moral
intelligence work together to give him the insights he needs to stay on track to reaching
his full potential and living the life he was meant to live with a sense of connection to
something greater than ourselves, which usually entails a desire for a sense of purpose
in life. Spiritual intelligence permits us to ask why we are doing something in this way.
This ability allows us to function more effectively. Basic behavioral change is also
instilled by this talent. It helps us to connect with our core meanings, beliefs, objectives,
and motivations, allowing our lives and enterprises to make a difference. All intellect
begins with this concept. Each of us has come to live fully. With this in mind, it
could be useful to ask yourself how alive you feel in different situations and
settings. When we are nervous, unhappy, and removed from the life we desire,
our sense of aliveness may be drastically different from when we are joyful,
excited about the future, and connected to the delight life has to offer. Explore
how your body, emotions, mind, and soul are affected by different emotional
states. When these four aspects of your life are considered together, you may
consider your emotions to be indicators that may help you determine whether
you are on track or off track in terms of building the life you desire.
4. What is spirituality according to Ron Rolheiser?
Spirituality is an individual's or a group's endeavor to meet and experience
the presence of God, other people, and the cosmic universe in order to join
them in a community of life and joy. The resulting general and specialized
disciplines and habits form the foundation for numerous spiritualities. Many
successful people, such as Tony Robbins, Charlamagne Tha God, and Oprah
Winfrey, start their days by praying or meditating. Setting aside a few minutes in
the morning to connect with ourselves and set positive intentions, whether
through reciting a prayer, practicing a quiet moment of mindfulness, or listening to
a guided meditation, will encourage a peaceful, grateful mindset for a successful
day in line with your spiritual values. Spirituality may be compared to a
mountain summit, where each person ascends at their own pace yet all
eventually reach the same objective. While millions of people still turn to
conventional religious law and prayer for solutions to life's most
challenging dilemmas, others have adopted a different approach,
integrating old spiritual rituals from various religions into their modern
lives. Daily spiritual activities may or may not deliver all of the answers we
seek now, right now, or ever. Nonetheless, everyday spiritual practice
provides several health and well-being advantages. Small, ordinary rituals
may provide comfort, improve living habits, and set positive objectives
while progressively uncovering a greater meaning.
5. What is desire?
A strong emotion of seeking something is defined as desire. It's the
longing that emanates from deep inside you. It's not that clutching,
desperate feeling from outside. But there's a part of you that wants to go
deeper, to something bigger. It’s like the when you are deeply in love with
someone that you desire him or her every day. You always go to places he or
she usually go and try to keep in touch with him or her to be close friends.
Sometimes having a desire is great to build up motivation and inspiration
but some desires are evil and obsessive. We should always limit our desire
toward something or someone.
6. What is soul?
Soul is the immaterial part or essence of a human person that provides
uniqueness and humanity, which is sometimes confused with the mind or the
ego. An example of your soul is the part of you that makes you who you are and
that will live on after your death. Our soul makes us unique and our rational,
spirited and appetitive parts.
7. What are the four pillars of spirituality?
Joyful surrender, we frequently feel overwhelmed and powerless in the face of
seemingly overwhelming obstacles. We let go of unsatisfied longings and
anguish via humility. It's the knowledge that we're more than our human selves,
and that our spiritual connection may help us take bold leaps ahead. True
Grace, extending a helpful hand for heavenly support. Unseen forces are
continually looking out for us and guiding us. This unexpected heavenly favor
might be seen as this spontaneous gift. Divine Love, you may understand the
significant lessons, synchronicities of events, and chances available on your
path when you reflect on your life. Adopt this great and lofty component of love
when we acknowledge the generosity of spirit inside us. Give to others. We
grow more loving and compassionate to others by offering time, attention, and
resources. Spirit of Gratitude, Gratefulness cultivates joy and happiness in our
life. I had a vivid dream with a prescriptive pronouncement of biblical passages
during a period of severe struggle. Spiritual resilience provides us with the
courage, strength, and endurance to overcome challenges and life-
altering events. Make self-care a priority and take emotional breaks when
you need them. Use nature walks, quiet time, and journaling as a way to
release emotions and express yourself authentically. Accept help from
individuals who are sympathetic and kind. Accept change and see it as an
opportunity for personal development and self-discovery. Maintain a good
self-image and a higher feeling of self-worth.
8. What personal experience of yours that define spirituality?
I am not a religious person and i don't pray that often. I doubt prayers because to
me, it does not make sense. If there's someone higher and loving behind everything,
that thing should know what we need. So, what's the point of praying? Not until it
was my 9th grade, it was the first time i cried and kneeled on the floor asking for that
thing to heal my puppy. I was repeating my prayer until i lose my voice. I felt
hopeless on the chapel. The only thing I had was faith on my prayers. I trusted my
words that it will be delivered to the mighty one and maybe he will grant my wish.
Days after my dog was healed. Prayer is a form of faith power that we have evolved
for the benefit of ourselves and others. When it comes to spirituality, we may sense
the force rising inside us. We must sincerely pray for and think good of people. We
can frequently witness how they react to this activity and how they develop spiritually
in ways that are visible to us. The key to effective prayer is genuine gratitude. When
you express real thanks, you strengthen your faith without allowing doubt to seep in.
In fact, this final step of thankfulness may be all that's needed to bring all of these
spiritual experiences together in one unexpected insight one that seems like a whole
embodiment of the divine presence inside us.
9. Among the four imbalances, choose one that really speaks to you?
Emptiness. Even if you don't have any health, emotional, or financial issues, I
believe life should be more than just a daily existence. Everyday I could eat 3 times a
day with full meal but still I feel like the children outside who eat once a day are more
complete than I am. I feel empty inside, not that I’m not grateful but that’s just how I feel.
I grew up wanting to be a police woman but my parents hinder it because of the
stereotype. They wanted me to become an accountant. Pursing a dream that’s not
originally yours feels like living a life that’s not yours too. For me, it’s really important to
be happy on what you are doing, as years pass by doing things, I’m not happy with, I
feel empty. After accomplishing a hard task or achieving an achievement, I felt like it was
just a requirement. There’s nothing special about things I do and I feel like I should do
more than my maximum. Now that I’m pursuing what I love, I think I got rid of that
emptiness little by little. I’m not completely full but unlike before, I’m not rock bottom
empty anymore.
